  1. You already know this (cos we bum each other on Facebook) but i was literally gonna put a near identical post on our blog, but then ended up going to work before i got round to it. That's one of the best videos i've seen in ages, awesome stuff.
  2. Just take it easy man! Send her a message saying you enjoyed seeing her and would like to do it again if ever she's free - let her know otherwise she'll probably just end up assuming you don't give a shit if you leave it 3 weeks before talking to her again Don't instantly go for the marriage thing, just see if she's up for doing something similar again soon
  3. As Ogre said - if you're gonna do it, do it properly. 90x25-35 with some Trialtech high-risers is a nice kind of length if you want to maintain a bit of trials feel, but i've recently switched that out for a 70x25 Hope stem on top of a full length steerer which has made it ride so much better. Manuals a little slower (i.e. not so high so quick) and just feels great for bunny hops and 180s/ 3's which is where the fun's at. I can still hop around on it and gap it, and this is on a 24" with a 1010 wheelbase.
  4. I think i'll probably end up in the travelodge and take position of official scorekeeper or something.
  5. Yeah man definitely! I'm working on the place to stay thing, but if it's gonna be a TF singles night there's always the classic pull-or-park-bench game.
  6. Me, you, Simp - we just need Kev and Fish to make "that" night happen again. Oh and Muel there were pics the other week, shame on your or missing 'em.
  7. I take it you've had better?
  8. Nice one boys Sorry it's fairly short-notice this year, been mad busy... Got a fair few people int he "attending" already, let's keep it going!
  9. Hopes are fine long-term if you look after them/ have some mechanical knowledge. Have you ever owned one or is this just based on forum hearsay? Until 2 months a go or so i was running a Mono Trial that was 6 years old and it was spot on, only changed because a Tech came up for a decent price.
  10. Look over the past few pages, me and JD have both just come out of some pretty long relationships that ended in varying degrees of shitness. Have a read, and keep your chin up - you'll be alright
  11. 20:14/ 22:15 unless Mark's changed with the new crank set up Edit;
  12. Hey guys, Executive decision made (mostly fuelled by the fact it's the only weekend Sue + Charlie can make as well as it being the most appropriate) Memorial ride will be held on the 13th May, meeting at Portsmouth Guildhall around 11 o' clock. There will also be a fairly chilled ride saturday for those of you wanting to make a weekend of it, i'll be out at least! Everyone's welcome, whether you'e there for personal reasons or just want to enjoy the biggest street ride of the year, if you can be there - please come along and show your support for those friends of ours who can't be. Link to Facebook group, join and share! See you next month x
  13. 24:12 is a pretty big difference and there's no way a mech will ever get it really tight - got a fixed/ tight sprung tensioner you could use and possibly try upwards? Had the same issue with mine and that was only a 14T out back. Get the wheel off, open it up (seriously, so easy) check nothing's broken/ it's got nothing foreign in it, if it seems fine then look back at the way you're tensioning that set up.
  14. Save for a 550D and some decent lenses - so damn good.
  15. EDIT: Anyone got any problems with the 12/13th? Sue just text me to say they're working the weekends either side, and i'd really like to make it possible for them to come along. EDIT 2: Ride thread is up!!
  16. Likewise. What sprocket is it? And are you using both the jockey wheels on the mech?
  17. Sort of, basically flipped into a lake and f**ked himself up pretty bad, passed away in hospital a little while after from a heart attack. We've lost a lot of good guys from here over the years, as JT said - DJ was the only member I never personally knew, but I first signed up in the aftermath of it and it was clear how much he affected everyone he knew. I've always had massive respect for that and i'm honoured to know Sue, Charlie and Sam as I do and to have had a hand in organising the last couple of Portsmouth memorial rides. Trials is a very small, close-knit community so losing riders hits pretty hard.
  18. Definitely getting a lot better! You're right about the sketch aspect haha, some of those gaps and stuff scared me. Not too into the intro/ weird filler on the edit front though.
  19. Yeah man, show us what you're trying to set up.
  20. Oh you Good choice in stem/ bar height!
  21. Is it just me who doesn't see what's so hilariously wrong with that?
