Have no idea where the hell she got that information from though! Could be friends of friends or them talking to each other for some reason, which puts both in my really really bad books. Either way - headlf**k. Both girls have never met, i've never mentioned college lass to my ex. Wut.

Stock, 18:15 or whatever the equivalent is with different sized front sprockets. I'd personally recommend a front disc if you can, just makes it a whole lot nicer and more manageable to ride, gives you modulation and straight up on/off power whenever you need it, whereas rim brakes are usually very on/off (vees aren't as bad as HS33s but it all depends on your set up) Rear disc is hit and miss, i'd not go for it with a 26" bike, get so much more power from a rim brake when it comes to big wheels!

hope pro2 trial rear, any disc hub up front (again, pro2 is a good choice) maguras/ vees with decent pads (unless you find a cheap hope/ bb7 to go up front), echo forks like urbans or something, trialtech forged cranks, any mid-range rims you fancy, maxxis high rollers/ minions, standard cheap headset, trialtech stem in a geometry of your fancy, and pay out for some trialtech high rise bars - they feel so damn good to ride with it's a good investment

Whatever you do make sure you go and see what they're actually gonna be firing at your frame, the shot blasting gear at my dad's old place was f**king brutal - i'd never even consider putting my bike in front of it!

I was pretty surprised when i rode that to be honest, it's a lot more trials-y than it looks!! I do completely agree that for the style of riding you do/ would aim this at, something looking like Nick's Triton would be a much, much better look.
