  1. Surely if you had time outside of exams to ride, you've got time to do some odd jobs and scrape some cash together?
  2. £45 wont be that hard to scrape together. Offer to mow lawns, do garden work, wash cars, help clear garages etc in your local area.
  3. Dentistry is far more expensive. If you continue riding with as little thread contact as you do now you'll be shelling out for that too....
  4. Hub threads stripped. Get a new hub
  5. So good. Mad to see the level that Vincent is at

  7. Standing surely? Well, a kinda leaning forward half squat...
  8. Chaps - in need of a bit of advice. My girlfriend has around £5,000 to spend on a new car to replace her current Mk4 Fiesta. Now I really don't know much about cars at all so is there anything particularly worth looking at, or perhaps more importantly any really worth staying away from? She's got a 15 mile commute Monday-Friday, but doesn't drive all that much outside of that. Needs 5 doors as she see's her niece & nephew pretty regularly So far she has been looking at petrols, around 1.4 or 1.6L. With an eye on economy and insurance she doesn't want to go above that. Decent diesel would be considered I'll be driving this car too a bit, so if there is anything with a bit of poke that's a laugh to drive within that spec that'd be cool too Cheers
  9. Ridiculous, Adam's riding is looking so comfortable and controlled right now. This video also reminded my how much I want to go back to Felsenmeer in Germany :'(
  10. My old Slate 3 stock lasted over a year of regular riding and comps. No dents or cracks - sold it on
  11. I've just started climbing again at our little local bouldering wall. Used to do it a little, but never often enough that I ever improved. Picked up my first set of shoes and chalk bag the other day and have been going around twice a week for the last 3 weeks or so. Really wanting to keep at it this time too, seem to have loads of motivation at the moment. Due to how much we ride Dartmoor in the summer, the idea is so that when we're done riding for the day, but the weather is still real nice, we'll just stay up there and play around with some problems. Was climbing on Tuesday night and a 14 year old girl f**king kicked my ass! That said, she's been climbing since aged 10 four times a week and competes, so that helped sooth my bruised ego

    Folding Bikes

If your planning on owning/using this bike for a long time, then I'd say you really are worth trying (if possible) to stretch your budget to a Brompton. They fold smaller and faster than other comparable models, and ALL the spares are available. If you damage any folding bike specific part on a Dahon, Tern, Carrera etc and it isn't covered by warranty - you'll have a hell of a job getting hold of the bits. Every part of a Brompton is available after market as a spare - right down to the tiny bits you wouldn't even think of. http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/brompton-shopbrompton_pg1/ They are also a proper riot to ride once you're used to them.
  13. Another vote for a headlock. They also help stop the forks f**king off into the distance should they snap as the base of the steerer
  14. That's the reason I never liked those frames
  15. Vee brakes, rear derailleur, zip-tied on saddle, shin pads and a set of massive skate shoes
  16. Clocking out an hour early today to get to Dartmoor early enough for a decent ride Will also give me a chance to try out my new climbing shoes on some proper rocks too
  17. Just some northerner who stole my gig
  18. So are BMX riders 'stunt' riders? Or BMXers? Is Ali C still a trials rider?
