I've used a fair different bunch of helmets over the years. Stuck with giro for mtb and tsg for pisspots. What do you guys run? I used to use a girl hex but now a tsg superlight. Looking at a met terra now.

Ahh yeah I guess that's true. I've never liked to depend on tar itself, like I try to get the best brake possible without it but sometimes when it's not doing that little bit extra I want- I put some on or a bit of monty brake spray and it makes a huge difference. I don't ever grind my wheels though so that's probably why...

Curtis... Not good It'll slowly get worse, then you'll get a cloud of blue smoke whenever you drive and complete loss of power. If you're really unlucky bits of metal can go into the engine I've heard?! Go for a new one if you can, get yours looked at first and see if it's salvageable for a cheap cost.

Never popped off. Jubilee clip now on. All good. It didn't even have a pipe on for a few days so cable ties were better than nothing. This pipe is f**ked now so fitting new ones soon with alloy pipe between the two.

Fixed my boost leak a few days ago. Popped off straightaway on drive home. I take a look under tonight and see this: First thing I thought was that aint moving. Loosened lower hose off and spent about 10 minutes wriggling it free haha, was so relieved it came out, I could have just stuck it in reverse but I couldn't be bothered to take the car off axle stands etc. Used cable ties to hold the pipe in place while tightening up the clip as it seemed to push itself loose every time, didn't picture this but there was literally so many haha. How it is now: held on okay on the drive round the block, will get jubilee clips for lower pipe tomorrow and hopefully my new boost pipes arrive soon, these are shagged! Got a 50mm bore aluminium pipe and two demon tweeks boost connector silicone pipes which were £22 each!! I'm hoping the new boost pipes will solve my boost leak for good, pretty sure air is coming out of the sides of the pipe that rubbed against the driveshaft, there's no visible ones but I'm sure there is. Also, how long should I let the car warm up/down for with a turbo? I've started to hear people mention this and I've not heard about it before, my turbo was still pretty hot about an hour after a ten minute drive home.... I'm guessing this is down to the fact there was no pipe from the intercooler and it was taking in standard air?

People rave on about Freewheels being a certain noise pitch etc etc. How do I tell if my freewheel is on its way out without hearing it?

I was gonna do this with the hex but I don't think it really makes too much difference as the bb is so low and wheelbase is short anyway...

All filters going to be replaced in the ibiza today, sub and new head unit to be wired up. Changing oil for first time since turbo install. New aluminum boost pipe (one that goes under the engine to intercooler) as old one (I forget the name of the material, rubbery shit) rubbed against the drive shaft when dogbone mount was loose and has caused a hole in it = boost leak. So shit driving up hill and having to keep dropping gears until I'm like at 20mph New maf sensor fitted, and oil breather line routed to boost pipe instead of under car now. Much less smoke, little bit less mpg. Ran some redex diesel cleaner through the car the other day, haven't really noticed any difference, will wait til I fit boost pipes to see if there is. Anyone else used the stuff? Also been quoted 180 to get all wheels powder coated in black, I may go for it but not really sure plus I don't really wanna spend money on looks. I want it to be f**king reliable first!
