Not too much has changed when you get down to it really other than there's no longer any seats, singlespeed all the way (with a front freewheel) and disc brakes are frighteningly affordable. Hope you find yourself a decent bike and enjoy your return!

Looking good young man, wasn't a big fan of the limey to be honest but it looks nice when someones riding it. As for the sidehop, do you land on your front wheel when you do them? I find myself doing it and it un-nerves me a bit but wasn't sure if thats how they're supposed to be!

Cheers Mark, considered having a go at building a wheel in the future but I think if I ever do I'll order the right bits for the job at the time then. At least I can sort getting a front wheel ordered and send this off to be built up now, just gotta decide on a frame to put it on!!

I've just stripped my echo tr front wheel down so the hub can be sent back to tartys to be rebuilt in a new wheel and just wondered if it's worth keeping the old spokes and nipples from the wheel. Will they come in handy for anything, can they even be reused safely?? And another thing, as it was a disc front wheel one side of the hub was built with straight spoke (is this radial?) and where they go through the hub they've left little humps all the way around as if the spoke was so tight it was almost pulling through the aluminium, if you understand that, is it safe to be rebuilt? I only got the wheel built up at the start of the year and it's not been ridden much, maybe once or twice a week for a couple of hours if I'm lucky!

Remember that at the end of the day if you've got a bike with gears you can always get a single speed kit!

I'm not entirely sure on how much trials you want to ride as being able to manual easily doesn't really help all that much. If it's just pure street bmx type stuff then your best bet would be something like an Onza Zoot if you don't want to spend much or splash out on an Inspired. Though if your not that bothered about sticking to 24" then why not just get a T-rex like your mates if you find it that easy to ride?

Thats what I'm worried about, scoured all the usual resources and hoped someone on here might know better! Oh well, I'm sure there'll be another bike or pram going cheap I can steal some off!!

My son has a kids balance bike that runs plastic mag wheels with solid rubber/foam type tyres and they're absolutely knackered as he's hammered it. He's due to move upto a proper pedal bike soon but I'll be saving this for his younger brother to start out on so I'd like to get some new tyres on it ready. The problem is as its got solid ones at the moment I don't know if the rim will be suitable for drilling a hole for an innertube valve and fitting some proper tyres so does anyone know where I can buy some 10" wheels that will take proper tubes and tyres??

Get on to your nearest Apple shop and get it claimed on the warranty, they should do you a straight swap for a brand new one. Does it not respond when plugged in to iTunes?

Am I the only person who isn't a fan of zombies?? Played the knife/xbow/tomahawk game the other night and won't be doing again.
