  1. Thanks Alex that just helped me out too. Off topic - Chris it's Mikey, you riding anywhere this week?
  2. I generally ride Reading after work, I'll be around Tues + Weds 6pm onwards. PM me your number / facebook and I'll get in touch
  3. My guess would be Phil Pearce's van Probably a long shot though.
  4. Any pad with Tar will work good, although grinds win every time. As for the buckle, learn how to true a rim.
  5. Whenever I spray GT85 / that green spray can thing from work (some Teflon stuff) or brake cleaner (by accident) in my freewheel it just locks up. I'll open it up and nothing will have moved and when I close it up its fine. Admittedly I do need new springs soon as mine are almost worn to the point of splitting, maybe this is the issue?
  6. Rolling gap down a rather long 10set in Reading?
  7. After front disk wheel / hub and brake, check my wanted topic

Yeh true man, I did know that. Just a wind up mate. You said you wanted a wheel ;)

  8. Go for a 160mm rotor, 180mm if you find it lacking in power. 200mm will be over kill on a mod.
  9. I haven't actually had a chance to look at my bearings and wont for at least a few days. Can anyone else shed some light on it?
  10. Anyone ever used the Schwalbe slick tyres? They come in various sizes (20, 24, 26) etc and go as wide as 2.35. Saw these in work the other day and wondered if it'd be good for street? Super Moto Big Apple Big Apple liteskin Edit* Found this too. http://www.schwalbe.co.uk/c2-1078-fat-frank.html 920 grams for the 2.5 version.
  11. The oil leaking out could just be where you accidentally got oil on top of the diaphragm. Is your brake spongy? Does the lever get progressively further and further into the bar?
  12. Sounds like the piston is pushed into the lever body and isnt coming out very far?

  14. Heya guys, does anyone happen to know the bearing number for these bearings? Mine are shot and I don't want to spend £8 a pop.
  15. It's all down to preference. If he likes dual disk on Stock then let him run it, I know if I rode stock + had the cash I would.
  16. I used to love my old Magura Marta on the front and so did everyone that used it.
  17. I doubt the Magura Julie's would be powerful enough for the rear. Cable wise, for raw power go for a BB5, for power and adjustability go for a BB7. Both are brilliant brakes.
  18. The flanges should still be in the same place. You've dished your wheel.
  19. I have exactly the same problem as you, I've just learnt to put up with it.
  20. So the for sale section pretty much?
  21. Filmed in 2006. It's now 2011. Thats 5.
  22. Rips are quite literally budget bikes. The components would need replacing quite quickly as you progress and with a 20" rear wheel you'll eventually need to replace both the frame and the rear wheel. Mod's use 19" wheels on the rear as this means they can use a much larger tyre and improve stability / bounce.
  23. +1 to the LGM's Aren't Coustsinks for a very light grind?
