Don't think he's done that much testing on the R1, plus it's a new for this year bike and I suspect not upto scratch, hence dumping them and maybe going back to BMW. He always looks on the ragged edge though, like there's nothing left in reserve
He'll get a private S1000RR and wipe the floor with all of them. To be fair, he's in a pretty good place to judge wether a bike is good enough or not.
In other news, father has finally got old. Bought a BMW R1150r rockster and is selling the Ducati 999
Mines the spilt clamp newer version. I greased both Pistons with some spray gun grease and bled them up, no issues.
Edit: I should say that I bath bleed mine every time, with a syringe under water so absolutely no air can get in at any point. Means taking the brale off the bike and resetting them but it works every time for me
I've got two racing levers and don't have any trouble at all with them. Had them ages now and still in the original bleed form when I got the bike. No leakage and they feel well solid
If you want a harsh grind, press it on a bit but not too much, and maybe about a 70 degree angle. For a light grind, basically just lightly brush the surface at a 45 degree angle.

Bb threads are 1.37"x24tpi. Don't forget the drive side is left hand thread. But as Dave says, Spanish would be better. If you get the dimensions any decent tool shop could knock you one up, it's just a stepped tube effectively
