Damn that brings back some memories. Reminds me of my merlin before I put fatty r's on it. Now that sounds like a plan for the future

Not entirely true Al lad. My Carrera is only a cheap mtb, but it's the top line hard tail, and I've probably spent a few quid upgrading it, ie better brakes and new chainring and tyres, but that's it. I was faster than most blokes on £3k full sussers round the red route, with some black bits thrown in for fun. I ride in camo shorts, a shops own mtb top and nike skate trainers. I don't buy in to all this must have gear and badge snobbery. I just ride and buy the bits I want, not the bits the industry forces upon you. #26aintdead

This is it, in a nutshell. I had the best day out at gisburn I've had in a long time. So much so I'm considering getting rid all together and buying a new groupset for the mtb. Proper full on can't be arsed with trials anymore. There isn't anything remotely enjoyable about it at the moment, and I've been like that for months now. I thought getting the echo 24 might have changed my mind, but it hasn't

Same here. I'm proper fed up with it. Need a massive change in lifestyle to get me out of this rut I seem to be in
  7. Leigh booth, can't remember his forum name
  8. Ryan wears bigger trousers than you, and he's only 6
  9. Well nice that is lad
  10. It's a f**king joke that the bbc mercilessly ram children in need down your throat every year, after scamming every family for £150 a year for the privilege of watching it, especially when some family's can't afford a decent food shopping run. Hypocritical to say the least

  11. Our Maude's are pretty big. And look especially good in a nurses top slightly unbuttoned
  12. Nah. Zafira gsi. Because turbo nutter engine in a people carrier. Much smiles and grins from the kids at turbo noises
  13. You sarky twat. Love it
  14. At some point yeah. Probably caused by me haha. 80% sweetness and light, 20% mardy f**ker. Your Mrs must be mardy at some point mate, you are a bloke and women think we are all bastards. @matthew62, because relationships are about give and take, if you don't take a bit of shit you'll more than likely end up lonely and miserable. Nobody is perfect
  15. Oh dear me. The novelty hasn't worn off yet. Don't worry, it will, she will turn into a complete twat because she's a woman, and it's in her nature
  16. Brilliant. Fat bikes are ace
  17. There's the difference. Pal is ok up north, at least in my circle of friends it is, so is lad, shag, mate, duck, dickhead, plus a few more. Ultimate insult up here tends to be a your mum joke or just plain "you f**king daft c**t"
  18. As if no one has mentioned the barge. Many a good ride went off on that place, with many a good rider, including Mr Kerr
  19. What a day round gisburn. Had an ace ride with Neil Robinson, only one bail, no punctures, no mechanicals, did the hully gully line on my carrera hardtail and had the best days riding I've had in a long long time. It was epic
  20. Mine must be the later model, the steerer tube is well thick
  21. Easiest way to do this with a water bled brake is to take the plug out, wind the tpa off, and put the entire bar end, lever as well in a bucket of water, and gently pump the lever until air stops coming out. Put the bleed plug back in while it's still underwater, job done
  22. You snapped the original, I made you a new one, you snapped that and your old man got a steel one made so you can't snap that. It was on your old neon
  23. I've made headset adaptors for a cannondale road frame, some press in cups to allow shimano bb bearing/cranks in an NS majesty frame, with has a Spanish or mid bb. Made Dan cox a rear axle, which he snapped within two days. Made Tom Whittaker some new spacers for his echo 135 rear hub. Made myself a 10mm bolt in axle for a hope bulb hub. When I was an apprentice I made a 50mm DH stem for my Saracen hardtail. Loads of stuff. It's ace making things
  24. That's brilliant. I've made a few bits for various people, glad to see its not just me who does stuff.
