  1. Cool job of red bull showing off almost everything they sponsor. Loved the drifting part and all the contraptions they used to let each person go.
  2. Yeah it'll hurt for a while but soon enough your hands will toughen up and you'll be fine. I worked outdoors with tools like shovels and picks for years before I started trials so I already had good callouses.
  3. UPDATE: just got myself some 2013 Echo Urbans which I'm pretty happy with. My Lite Guys had a lovely crack around the rim brake mounts so I decided to bite the bullet and buy some new ones. Also changed a couple of little things like my to handlebars to some commencal ones simply because I wanted to try some higher rise bars and I had em lying around. Like em so much they're staying. Also got a new chain after it snapped again. Also I'm still thinking about respraying the frame black, let me know what you think. Anyway heres the pics. New ones: Old ones: Feel free to add comments.
  4. I've done the exact same thing as onza pro series guy, ie: snapped the BB axle. I was also using burns but was doing something far less dangerous. I had just cycled up a hill and was going over a curb at the top and wump the crank fell off. Looked down and axle was snapped. Glad I wasn't doing a gap or riding up high on a wall. I had just jumped down a set of steps about a minute before it happened so it was lucky it didn't snap on landing. Probably cracked it though.
  5. Seems like a good deal, I want it.
  6. My mate left them on the top of an electric cooker. It burns off the contaminate. You'll want to have a good extractor fan though as it produces quite a lot of fumes. You could probably do the same thing on a gas cooker if you put a piece of metal underneath the pad. Not sure about organic pads but I'd assume it would be fairly safe.
  7. Daaaaycent bouy. Translation, very good video, enjoyed it a lot.
  8. I could give you the front wheel for £15 inc postage. The rim has no holes so it's pretty heavy but the toughest rim you'll ever find. Also the hub is non disk. I put up pictures if you want me too but I'm really busy right now in uni so the earliest I could sort out pics and postage is tomorrow. Rear hub probably about £8, again non disk. Both are in good condition and work fine, I just got better stuff. Not to put myself out of a sale but sometimes its best to save up some cash and get better parts first otherwise you'll end up paying twice when you realise you want to upgrade the stuff you have. Also prices above may change, I'd love to sell them to you at that price but the mail service over here charges huge money. I'm going to look up alternative postage ways, fedex etc to see if I can get it down.
  9. They can make noise when wet but otherwise usually contaminated. You'll need to degrease the disk and clean the pads by either sanding them as above or cooking them which burns off the contaminate. Then rebed them and they should be better than ever.
  10. First of all, yes ordinary hubs will work, my bike came with shimano xt hubs originally. I could sell you these if you want, well the front one is built up on an old onza rim. You will want to upgrade these though especially the rear one as you'll need more engagement points. Mtb cranks will probably work for 22T but the chainring won't be as strong as trials ones. Also the holes in rims are for saving weight, nothing else.
  11. It should be tight enough so that you have to apply quite a lot of force to touch the chain of the chainstay. If you can't touch it then you've tightened it too much. Similarly if it's stiff when you try to turn the cranks then it's too tight.
  12. Sorry my internet was laggy so had issues posting it.
  13. Not sure if this has been posted already but I haven't seen it on here so...
  14. At 0.50 how was that guys back not broken. Pretty crazy back in the day.
  15. Yeah it seems like a lot of people have different opinions on them. Some people love them and some people hate them so it's kinda hard making a decision on their opinions. I took the risk and bought a tr disk and it's work fine for me. The only complaint I have is that the reach adjustment dial keeps unwinding itself so the lever keeps moving closer to the bar. Takes about 2 hours of riding for this to happen after which I just adjust it again.
  16. Nice vid, lots of cool lines in there.
  17. I've actually ridden mtb trails on my trials bike for quite a long distance. Not exactly easy or fun though. Coming back downhill is fun though especially if your on technical rooty/rocky sort of stuff. You could run a cassette but you'd sacrifice chain strength which is quite important.
  18. Well........... Considering that half the video was of you riding through your garden and the other half was of you doing the same move from 3 or 4 different camera angles of which only 1 of them really worked then it wasn't a very good video. What you need is a tripod for the camera or someone holding the camera filming you. Also try and get yourself a whole bunch of pallets as you don't seem to have much to ride there.
  19. Don't know anything about it but after browsing it just now it seems to have a very small stock of parts. They only sell two 26" frames like. Also the description on each item is not very good at all. Thats my two cents anyway.
  20. Unless you want to move to 26" or 24" why don't you just get a new frame and keep the same components.

    No Frills

Someone disliked you? Right everyone get out the torches and pitchforks, we're hunting this guy down.
  22. Ok guys thanks for all the advice, think I've got all I needed and now need to make a decision. By the way I am running a square taper BB so that means buying a whole bunch of new stuff to convert to ISIS cranks.
  23. Yeah I saw those first then scrolled down afterwards and saw the pricier ones. May have solved my problem but still not really happy with the end result.
