  1. Snapped my chain yesterday while doing a gap. Wasn't funny.

  2. Sounds like a plan, also sounds like it'd be based in Northern Ireland. Pretty far for me to go but certainly nearer than England. If it was arranged in advance I could probably make a road trip out of it. Couple of other guys here that might be interested as well.
  3. I bought it second hand from a guy on here. I originally wanted black but the deal on this was too good to pass up. Yeah it rides great, I originally wanted a black frame with red components but when I saw the frame for it's price I had to get it. I may eventually respray it to black if I can be bothered but it's unlikely. Also small update, I've changed the tyres to minions front and rear. Great tyres, well worth the money.
  4. Wait, he can go bigger?!!! Crazy stuff man.
  5. Cheers but looks like I won't be coming over now for other reasons.
  6. Not really cause it only comes with one lever.
  7. Yeah I've noticed it's a lot slower lately. Takes ages to load pages.
  8. Hi guys I'll be coming over to England for christmas to see my family and I'm going to try and bring my bike with me. So is there anyone in the Basingstoke area I could meet up and ride with?
  9. It was good but with all that stuff to ride on he could've done a lot more. Less tailwhips and more gapping across narrow beams I say.
  10. Well maybe I was a little rash saying nobody else does them but I'm sure they've got a few other original moves.
  11. Maybe they're a bit full of themselves but I personally think they are some of the best riders out there. So many awesome moves that nobody else does.
  12. I love mine. It's the sh*t. It's nice and light and really nice on the rear wheel. Very much designed for TGS sort of stuff though. Saying that it hasn't got a super ridiculously high BB rise so it can be quite nice on two wheels as well. As Danny said headtube is pretty big so make sure you get a fork with long steerer tube length. Check out my photos in the picture part of the forum. Feel free to ask any additional questions.
  13. Liked it. You're getting better for sure.
  14. I really don't know how they could call that a bike considering it has no wheels but it's still pretty cool. You'd look like a right fool doing it but could be fun. Price is way too much though. As said you could easily make one yourself provided you knew how to tig weld.
  15. I run the exact same setup as I went from an internal to an external headset. I tightened up the bottom bolt a lot and bought a new top cap bolt so it reaches nicely into the star nut. My forks are from 2003 so they're pretty tough and I've had no problems so far. But then again I've only been riding it a couple of weeks.
  16. I don't mind the dark as most of my spots are lit up pretty well and I usually ride pretty late anyway unless it's a weekend. The thing that bothers me the most though is the wet. It makes everything around here slippery and because it's so cold it doesn't dry for a couple of days even if it hasn't rained. I'm trying to source some pallets that I can keep somewhere dry and pull out when I want to ride. Cold itself doesn't bother me, I was out last winter in 0 degrees in a T-shirt and still sweating.
  17. If you can afford it do it. Saying that though, that is a large initial investment but maybe that'll encourage you to keep it up rather than quit early on like a lot of people do. Once you've been at for a few months it becomes really fun.
  18. Should do that more often. Loved Buzz Lightyear bit at end as well.
  19. I'll come if someone buys me a ticket. (A) Nah I'm going to the Alps in the summer DHing but I'll be bringing along the trials bike as well for sure. Would love to go to Barcelona but can't afford both or get the time off work for both Have fun.
  20. I was looking at a frame from China as well but I decided against it as it looked too dodgy. Plus the postage seemed to be as much as the frame. Things tend to be copied in china so they could say it's a neon bow but it's actually a cheap reproduction. They do the same with cars. I wouldn't do it.
  21. You'd still end up standing while you cycle which is no good for xc cycling. You need a high seat post.
  22. Sooooo are you taking over from Danny when he retires?
