  1. Great video, plenty of good stuff, the beard inconsistencies confused me though.
  2. Im not totally sure from the vid whats going on. But a bottom bracket should have a bearing on each side of the axle. Also bearings should run smooth, if they are crunchy they need to be replaced. So maybe you just need a new bearing each side. But I have no idea what sort that takes or if it even takes cartridge bearings. If it doesn't use cartridge bearings you probably need to swap the whole bb. You'll need a square taper bb to fit your cranks, but again there maybe different types so check with someone. The headset again should have a top and bottom bearing that sits in each cup in the frame. Then in each bearing there should be a small wedge ring that sits inside to stop wobble. One on the forks and one on top that the stem sits on.
  3. Yeah it's just technique. For most people when they start, they try and pull the bars up and into them, but their body weight is still on the bike. If you just pull with your arms you are trying to lift your own body weight, which is super hard. You need to crouch down with your legs and move your body backwards to the back of the bike so that it is further behind the rear axle, this will allow you to unweight the front. Just try on grass, wear a helmet or pads or whatever you need to to feel less sketchy. You can try learning to stand up wheelie (catwalk) that helps, plus it helps you learn to use the pedal to get the front up and to jump off the back.
  4. Did you use LGm on rear and yellows on front ? or both pads on rear at separate times? So did cousts work better than other pads you tried or do you mainly use cousts ? Also do you have any idea how hard these are compared to other pads ?
  5. I find that my TNN ADM's stop working when it gets really cold. Would using a pad with a softer compound work better for the cold ? Cheers
  6. looks proper nice with those forks!
  7. I have found that a pretty good indicator is the bike chain, if it is rusty other bearings in the bike will need replacing. But yeah 180 to start trials is decent as long as the bike is in good enough condition to ride straight away!
  8. the uneven curved gap by the weld makes it look like the mount its attached in the wrong place ?
  9. I think they should superglue in fine the backings look identical, the only thing is the black standard magura pads are very soft so heat them up well and don't pull on them very hard or they will tear.
  10. yeah good filming and editing dude!
  11. Onza would be 110mm spaced, in the description it says: " - 106mm axle spacing to fit 221 Ti frames, but can be run in other 110mm spaced frames - please call if you require assistance. "
  12. might be worth checking with a different keyboard to see if it still happens?

    EU Referendum

Here is another bit of important news, I hadnt heard about this at all but could mean another 1975 Bloomberg - Who Will Now Invest £100 Billion to Keep Britain's Lights On? http://bloom.bg/29iLb5M

    EU Referendum

Tate and Lyle said they would benefit from exit, because EU trade law prevents them from buying cheaper sugar from non EU countries and they are forced to buy more expensive sugar from EU trade partners. They buy in raw sugar refine it and then sell it globally, they used to be competitive on price but because of EU they aren't. But I'm not sure if anyone knows how many UK businesses are in this situation or the actual value to our economy.

    EU Referendum

yeah some of the guys on the news were saying this, but not sure if it plays out because those industries all require importing crude oil products and metals etc.. so the result from is probably quite small. But a lower pound does mean better share prices in UK companies and property prices for foreign investors but that essentially mean foreigners buying our assets rather than our products.

    EU Referendum

Possibly but I don't think so, there is some kind of dispute (not sure what) between the hungary-poland and germany sides of the EU, and more countries may join. Maybe someone else can explain... Also there is the whole facist antifacist thing happening across europe.

    EU Referendum

This is actually the level of people we are dealing with: http://metro.co.uk/2016/06/24/man-who-voted-for-leave-says-he-thought-his-vote-wouldnt-count-wins-moron-of-the-year-award-5964450/ Wow, a second vote petition: http://metro.co.uk/2016/06/24/petition-calling-for-a-second-eu-referendum-crashes-because-its-so-popular-5964230/

A lot of the economic stuff is relative to other countries though, so it becomes even more unpredictable. How we arrange deals with the EU countries will have an effect but there is also division in the EU (within and between countries) that makes us seem relatively more predictable than if the EU was stable. Plus there are bigger issues coming up in the future with the uncertainty of the USD and oil trade negotiations globally as well as the usual middle east instability. I think overall its likely that from our new trade deals some will be worse and others better leaving us with no overall change financially. The people of Britain aren't going to get smarter, more inventive, more competitive or work harder so realistically again no real change overall.

    EU Referendum

Heres some update on the on coming recession http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKCN0Z92MZ Heres one talking about the referedum isnt binding http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/jun/23/eu-referendum-legally-binding-brexit-lisbon-cameron-sovereign-parliament Its possible that if theres a big enough crash parliament could vote and the decision may not go through??
  22. Yes I agree, this is the main shop in the UK have a browse: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/ to get an idea of what types of bikes there are. You can get decent stuff second hand which is probably better if you just want to try. Where you live and how big/old you are will affect what bike you choose. But a normal trials bike is much easier if you don't have a background in trials or BMX in my opinion.

    EU Referendum

Yeah there are really valid reasons to leave, but immigration just isn't one. The EU has a terrible political system, and its not democratic. To make things worse they are terrible at making policies and a lot of people are saying that the EU is failing economically. The EU is a pile of poo but leaving this way with cause a economic storm that is purely down to the opinion of huge numbers of people that invest and gamble on markets. The thing that sucks is that some people will loose their jobs and their homes over this. I think if we want to leave we need to have systems in place to protect those people before we actually do it. That's actually scary.
