  1. if it was a google business mail account you should be able to login through any gmail login using username@hisdomain.com and your password but I think you tried that so maybe they have turned it off. maybe try signing in here to email https://apps.google.com/intx/en_uk/
  2. @LEON did you try the top one as well mail.hisdomain.com ?
  3. yeah octane one are NS bikes cheaper brand, they'll do, I'm sure you know how bashed they get anyway. And welcome back to trials!
  4. I think thats a good price, a good frame kit and its got the hope rear hub and everything else is decent enough. One day you will probably upgrade the brakes but the price is fair for all that stuff. It looks in good condition, its been kept inside.
  5. mail.hisdomain.com sometimes a login page is put there. http://mxtoolbox.com/ may help if the above doesn't work
  6. also have you looked into pelvic tilt at all, my pelvis tucks under and I think most people who do sports have the same problem. IMO its not just getting enough length on the glutes and hamstring to compress, but to get the pelvis in an optimum position so that there is no pressure on the spine (same as deadlift). So along with stretching the glutes/hams also add strengthening the lower back so that it can hold the pelvis. I think this should put the glutes and hams in a position to output maximum power.
  7. I mean operational length, the science is still very sketchy. You and ogre are both right is what I mean to say, the body can do both but as a sacrifice to one or the other. If you do strength training you quickly notice yourself get tight maybe after a few weeks. But flexibility is weird because if you stretch alot you find your strength goes up too, so what a lot of people are saying is that the contraction speed reduces, because the operational point is further away from full contraction. When you sidehop you don't just want to lift something heavy you want to accelerate enough to overcome gravity, so there is a balance point between the three attributes.
  8. yeah it is like ogre said but they aren't exclusive, you can be strong and flexible but the flexibility reduces speed because you have lengthened the muscle. It seems like a complex relationship but flexibility is roughly about muscle length and "strength" is about muscle width. Both require and increase in muscle mass. If you just train for strength your body cheats by shortening the muscle so you can get a greater strength increase without increasing muscle mass proportionately. If you train strength and flexibilty you will progress slower in each than you would in one individually. There's a book called warrior speed by ted weinmann that catalogues all the different relationships in the body and explains them. Basically you want your minimum range of motion for your sport to get the most efficient speed and power from a muscle. If you look into MMA this is quite a popular topic.
  9. So have you decided on a frame yet ?

    Keto diet anyone?

I didn't mean to add loads of complicated stuff and make it get stupid, sorry. And yes for a lot of people "eat less do more" works but it is also very vague to some people and if you have a specific goal like "drop 12kg" then you'll need something a bit more specific . A lot of people like to have a strategy or some kind of boundary to work on just for psychological reasons and it works. Lots of diets work, it's just about picking something you want to do and JT picked this so he must see it as suitable. If he is your mate just support him while he tries stuff ?

    Keto diet anyone?

A lot of it is just A level biology but the general public is misinformed the WHO is struggling right now to change public opinion. Glycated and oxidated lipoproteins from the liver (not dietary chylomicrons) are known to cause heart disease and strokes via the atherosclerosis mechanism. sdLdL is the most susceptible to glycation, which occurs in high blood sugar. In simple terms having high levels of liver fat (not dietary, so from eating a high carb diet via the insulin mechanism) and high blood sugar causes it. So, if you eat a carb diet you must stay low calorie. Obviously on keto you don't have high blood sugar, only on a carb diet. This has been known by the scientific community for a long time, but normal people don't have any understanding or care about biology so companies just push the low fat stuff because that is what sells. Think about it heart disease is increasing even though the population is eating less fat! Keto diet anyone?

It is a DNA thing everyone is different, you can have your dna tested for a few hundred quid and you'll know what lifestyle is best for you. It's all thanks to the human genome projects. There is no diet that is right or wrong, you just have to find what works for you, there is huge variation because we are so different. I was pre diabetic so I would probably be blind now if I hadn't eaten low carb diets. Keto cures diabetes and reverses heart disease, it has saved many lives.

    Keto diet anyone?

Yes man i didn't mean to sound harsh its just thats the rumour that is spreading and people are making out like you can just live off that stuff. As long as you know the focus of the diet is just to eat normal balanced healthy stuff you'll get on okay. It is worth looking up carb refeeding because you can have a dominoes once a week and you will loose more weight.

    Keto diet anyone?

Okay lots of people are chipping in without having researceh keto or tried it. There are plenty of people who have to live on keto their whole lives, many epileptics and diabetics live on keto. Keto has been used since the 60s at least in bodybuilding, it is not a fad, it is a natural state of the human body that mammals have used for millions of years. @JT! Sorry but you can't just eat bacon and sausages and mayo, that's bullshit, that stuff is from the atkins diet which isn't keto but commonly gets mixed up. You can't have a balanced diet for weeks/months/years just eating that stuff. You can eat it now and then just like in a normal carb diet but it doesn't create the base of the diet. You need a mix of sat and unsat fats, avoid stuff high in omega 6 like vegetable oil. Stick to lard, grassfed butter, coconut oil, olive oil and flax seed oil etc.. eat lean meat and then use quality fats to add on top to make you 80% or 60% ratio. Add loads of veg and the lower carb stuf like leafy greens, spinach, and asparagus beans etc.. When you do eat carbs select them carefully, get either high vitamin carbs or high fibre. You'll need around 2g of salt per day extra. And you will need to drink a lot more water on keto. Doing keto wrong can mess you up, but its just like any nutritional plan you can't just eat dirty kebabs all the time. The main thing about loosing weight, it that "eating less and doing more" only works if you want to loose around 5kg. When you try that you'll find you have to keep cutting calories and adding exercise until you are doing 2 hours of cardio and eating 1000 kcals per day and not loosing weight. All because your metabolic rate adjusts to be more calorie efficient, obviously!!. It is very common to plateau like this on a diet. So if you only need to loose a bit of weight keto is probably too much just reduce your carbs slightly and do more than you do now. To loose weight long term you need to keep your metabolism high!! you you need to backload/refeed or cheat when you are on a diet. This bumps you back up. Most asians have different genes which allow them to process carbs differently, they can eat much more. If you are white then you should be eating a much lower carb diet than is commonly eaten. This is why 10 million people a year die of heart disease.

    Keto diet anyone?

I'm on keto now, I use it every year, its really good if you know what you are doing. Check out the keto gains forum on reddit too. There is a ton of bullshit info on keto on the web so be careful. @JT! Why are you on it ? Are you in keto yet ?
  16. Leave the bike it's fine, spend your money on some kind video camera, it will be way more useful! You can get cheap go pro's called sjcams that are pretty good, or get a phone with a good camera.
  17. for that sort of money you can easily get a really good bike like an Inspired or a Zoot Pro or a decent Marino. Just post an ad in the wanted section and be patient.
  18. yeah i'd second @Ali C on the ido portal stuff, anything on primal movements is good. and also if you have any shoulder issues its worth looking at YLTW's on you tube to strengthen your rotator cuff and rhomboids. As well as exeercises for a muscle called serratus anterior.
  19. Your main muscle groups for trials in terms of power, are hamstrings, glutes and quads, so any sort of squatting deadlifting or lunging exercise is good. In terms of upper body its lats and abs. So: situps and crunches and then pullups and rows. The gym is basic but you can get something done in there. Im hoping that cable machine has a pull up bar on the top.
  20. cool video mate i enjoyed that, you should defo ride more!
  21. disc on the back is definitely good too, but I don't know which one either, put a post in trials chat and someone will tell you the popular ones. The search on here isn't working properly.
  22. Welcome back dude! and +1 for grinding the rim, not worth the pain of a brake slip.
  23. what i just did to this post @Ross McArthur
