I insisted on changing it for her, managed to do it before she could get her fella there (even though he lived minutes down the road). Contamination by water, grit, salt water, ect will rapidly shorten their lifespan. For the price of bearings these days, are you really complaining that you have to spend £5 on hub bearings every year/year and a half?

Have you tried removing a couple of the pins? should help the pedal grip your shoe less, allowing you to fine tune the amount of grip you have.

I think as long as you make an effort to look like your being considerate (usually by actually slowing down a bit!) then most cyclists would be fine with you not giving way in that situation.

thought it'd be the other way around? Disk brake levers use smaller diameter piston, so if you used it on magura slaves, you'd have lots of lever travel before it bit?
