  1. I've seen two of Charlies site designs over the last 3 days and they've both used the same template with no real modification. Poor show.
  2. I might be there, just seeing about arranging a lift :/
  3. !! For the swooshy thing try ripping one off from http://www.dafont.com/marcelle.font
  4. As has been said, do it in Illustrator, using the pen tool. With the complex curves it might be easier to do them as multiple shapes, and then combine them all together using pathfinder. EDIT: Links that might help http://www.gomediazine.com/tutorials/ornat...tering-process/ http://www.computerarts.co.uk/tutorials/2d...rnate_lettering http://www.gomediazine.com/tutorials/from-...r-illustration/ Craig, I'd love a copy of your typeface.
  5. When working on a web layout that's 1680x1050, exporting sections, writing the css then checking it in the browser, 2 screens is a godsend, even if it is only 1x 1680x1050 and 1x 1440x900 Still, 3 months til I get my 24" iMac (I hope) and it'll be 24" 1920x1200 and 20" 1680x1050, woop woo.
  6. If you read up on compression clothing it will probably help. "The main benefits of compression shorts are that they keep the muscles warm to prevent muscle strain, chafing and rashes, and to wick sweat away from the body. In addition, there is some evidence that compression shorts may enhance athletic performance."
  7. I bought a Mac because we were going to be using them at college. That was nearly 7 years ago and I've tried to stay away from PC's since then. I can't explain what it is about them that is so great, it's just everything really. The PC vs Mac argument could go on forever, as could the price argument, but I'd much rather have a nice 24" iMac than a shitty looking tower covered in awful fans, cut out windows and horrible leds everywhere.
  8. What weight are you after?
  9. Isn't it just Helvetica?
  10. Looking for a roadie, only got about £300 to spend really, so looking at the second hand market. I'm watching a few things on ebay at the moment, if you guys could gimme some feedback that would be good. I'm 6ft 1 if that's any help? Giant OCR 2 Claud Butler Roubaix Ribble Audax Unknown Orbea Specialized Allez Giant SCR 2.0 Obviously there is a chance these will go above my budget, which is tough shit really, I won't be able to afford them, but could anyone recommend me which one to go for? And a picture for Pants,
  11. You need a Mac Good luck though, I know just how stressful it is, not fun!! Thanks mate Looks like you got a nice number of clients! You ever get overloaded feel free to send some my way hah!
  12. Heard back from them, discussions start on Monday, although it's not definite yet. More Avant Garde manipulation, EDIT: Still waiting for the content
  13. That's sick, I wish I could draw. If I look back at my college portfolio (or school portfolio for that matter) it makes me wonder how the f**k I got anywhere. Newport was a piece of piss to get into (then again the course was shit, but that's life). In other news I just pitched for a new website, could be a good one.
  14. Shame I don't run a maggie or I'd happily design you something in exchange for pads/hosing.
  15. Try-All front, Monty rear. But that looks sick Ad.
  16. They didn't end up using the work I did, but I still did work for them also just finishing off a site for an artist on the same management label, and just pitched for another site too, plus my friend might be hooking me up with a couple of jobs too. Good times. I wish I didn't have an overdraft so all this could go on a new computer
  17. Not really, I run 100f 120r on my bmx, because I like to roll fast.
  18. No but it was a ti frame which is likely to flex more than alu.

    Tilt-shifting

Well yeah, it's stop motion, but he's used a tilt shift lens to make everything look "weird".
  20. Hell yeah, HTC Touch Diamond - Compact Qwerty, f**king win. Then text slower?
  21. Hey sorry mate, as Muel said I've been well busy with paying clients, but I'll get this done asap. I've got the email sat in my inbox I just gotta get round to doing it, hit me up on MSN and we can sort it out
  22. I've put my thoughts in. To be honest I think it's all overkill though. I tend to just check all the bolts are tight, make sure all bearings and stuff are greased, and ride it. If it aint broke (or creaking) don't fix it. There's no real point taking the whole bike apart, just ride it.
