I like the way the poll doesn't even cover any form of moderate drinking. Haven't been drunk in a while, but I think alcohol affects me pretty strangely. Like JT, I get drunk pretty quick and from then on I carry on drinking. Instead of getting more drunk I just seem to get drunk for longer without actually doing the whole falling over memory loss thing. Meaning I will wake up the next day still really drunk which sucks. The last time I did this, I miss a bluebird powder day in Whistler, I was pretty gutted about that. Haven't been tempted to drink too much since then.

Drill some big holes between the freezer section and the fridge bit?

That was amazing. I think I prefer that to the April 09 video - this one is a bit more technical. The tailwhip blunt was awesome and there's a brilliant backwards nose roll in there too.

Don't worry, I'm sure TF is the best place to come for friendly reassurance and advice.

So you're basically saying it's worth it unless there's a chance you could get found out? That's not really the debate you should be having, but whatever, you do what you decide.

Don't do it. Especially when your girlfriend goes on your computer and searches through all your TF posts to see what you've been saying about her. P.S. If you're reading this...

Tailwhip to face, Tricks and Stunts style

Yeah, it's just one button but you click for play/pause, click twice for skip track and three times for skip backwards. It works really well and like I said it's essential for me since the iPhone itself has no physical buttons - and I'll be damned if I want to get the phone out of my pocket to skip tracks. I'm not sure if the iPhone has compatibility for more complicated remotes but I don't really care, the simple button works really well. Those ones actually look pretty good!

Yeah, you blatantly would though! Those kind of sites just put up hundreds of designs though, I'm not even sure if they keep stock of each design, let alone photograph them. I wonder if Danny will see any T-Shirt revenues.

OK, I want some suggestions for headphones for an iPhone, because the standard ones are pretty rubbish in many ways. Firstly they're white, secondly the sound quality is fairly average and thirdly they don't stay in my ears. I've had a google but not really found very much so I'm wondering if anyone on here will know. The one thing they MUST have is a remote control button (like the standard iPhone headphones have), which unfortunately rules out 95% of headphones. It would be nice if they also had a mic for handsfree business but that's really not too important. Like I said, I don't like white but pretty much any other colour is OK. I would prefer in-ear buds, and probably something that's going to stay in for riding bikes/snowboarding/whatever. So probably some sound-isolating canal ones, right? I also don't want anything that's going to fall apart. I'm actually not massively fussed about audio quality, as long as they're no worse than the standard ones I'll be happy. The best ones I've seen so far are Nixon's 'The Wire' headphones but they're fairly pricey and apparently sound quality isn't amazing. Any ideas?

You're only able to post in the main forums once your account is validated. Shouldn't take too long. But like Davey points out, we don't allow buying/selling in this forum, too many people have been scammed.

I know hindsight is a powerful thing and all, but that's pretty hilarious I'm glad they're back on the up though, for your sake.

Who needs brakes anyway? Unless you had mentioned it, I don't think I would even have realised that you had no brakes. Silly boy

Er what? lol That was painful to watch. I can't quite work out who in this thread is being serious, but from the comments I think it's clear trials videos have hit a new low. Sort it out! I'm sure you can make an interesting video with more than one move in it, so let's see it!

Just so you know, I don't ever buy the "lost in the post" story. I guess that's unfortunate for the sender in the one case in a thousand where it's actually a fault of the Royal Mail (use Signed For postage!), but 99% of the time it's the seller lying through his teeth. Since this isn't the first time people have had problems, you've got 7 days to send him the pads (Signed for!) or a refund, otherwise you'll be blacklisted.

It's the same here - pretty sure it's just because I have a relatively old computer. Maybe they've changed the codec or something but I know what you mean, seems worse recently. On mine, it will play smoothly if you wait a while (not for buffering, just have to wait for flash to do its stuff). Kind of annoying to have to wait though. You can try an older version of flash (apparently it's quicker) but then some websites won't work!

Grinds are good for rims but why on earth would you grind the pads?! You'll just lose pad material and that stuff isn't cheap! Sometimes if the pads are looking glazed or they're contaminated, then I would take the shine off with some sandpaper, but using a grinder to do it is a bad idea.

Probably. You can certainly get the "toy" effect with Tilt/shift lenses although that wasn't the original intention. Nowadays most people will just use a standard lens and photoshop, so I presume that's what's happened here. Tilt-shift lenses are expensive. I think the 'shift' part corrects the parallel lines thing as you've described. The 'tilt' part is to align the focal plane with whatever you want, allowing a greater part of the image to be focussed in certain situations (E.g. something sloping away from you can be entirely in focus). You can "abuse" this feature of the lens and manipulate the focal plane in a way that makes only a small part of the image in focus. This is what you''re seeing with the "toy" effect. P.S. I may have got tilt / shift the wrong way round in the explanation P.P.S I'm sure this is all in the wikipedia article explained much better!

Nah, it's worth getting something women-specific if you can. There are loads of choices now so it shouldn't be much harder than finding a men's frame. Basically women have longer legs/shorter torsos than men, so a normal men's frame will feel too stretched out on a girl and won't be as fun as it should be. The other option is to buy a men's frame that's really small (and therefore short) and put a long seat post on it to raise the seat to a normal height. I would try the singletrackworld forum for a frame.

Well in that case get a spoke key that's the right size and stop rounding nipples! Hitting it with a hammer is a bad idea - all that's going to happen is you'll batter the f**k out of a nice hub. It sounds like you really need to get a new rim/spokes but in the meantime you could try truing it from the rim-side. Take the tyre/tube/rimtape off and get a flat-headed screwdriver on the nipples. It's a bit of a faff and it might not work depending on the spoke lengths (how much is sticking through the nipple) but it's definitely a better idea than using a hammer.

Complete bikes work out a lot cheaper. Regarding whether to go full sus or not, I think it depends on if you have something in mind, and what that is. I bought a Commencal Meta 5.5 two years ago (The 5.5.3 version - I.e. the cheapest one) because I knew the frames were really good. The parts were pretty dire for a bike with an RRP of £1300 - stuff like SRAM Sx5 gearing, non-sealed wheels etc. But the frame was solid and all the bits have since been replaced (and upgraded) leaving me with a totally sweet ride. On the other hand, if you don't know what you want, I would go for a hardtail because there's less variation in terms of geometry/whatever and you'll get a better spec for your money. I certainly wouldn't go for a full susser for the same of it, but you can get some pretty good squidgers for under a grand if you know what you're looking for.

It's not like that for everyone - Some people get over it much quicker, in 2-4 weeks. I don't think there's much you can do to predict which camp you're in (and of course there is a big range in between).

I know everyone has moved past this, but Goldeneye is still brilliant. I've played loads of FPS since I first had it on the N64 but every now and then I'll dig it out and have a play. It's still so much fun, especially on 4 player with a few friends. COD4 is the first game I've played since Goldeneye that comes close to having as much fun in split-screen mode, but I don't know if I'll still be playing that in 10 years' time. Probably not...

UCLAN is in Preston so there are a fair few riders around that area (*cough* Tarty Bikes ). I'm not sure about going to university there though, although it's a fairly similar-sized town to Coventry/Huddersfield I think.
