    Cranks,

Dam good point, yeah, go with tensiles, sorry, didnt think before.
  2. Very cool pic Yeah, get Alan's bar and stem if you can afford it, it rode so nicely with them on it. Haha, you can just about see the massive flat spot in your rear rim! Sort your grips out boy! PS. Yeah, get hold of a hole-saw if you can, and whack some wholes through your mavic, suprising what a difference in weight it makes, and even drilled, you're never gunna kill a good old D321.

    Bars

Easton EA50 Blask 685mm-2" Hi Rise-31.8 Clamp - £27.99 27" wide to save the conversion, and feel sweet for streety stuff lent a bit forward.
  4. Had some of these ages ago, they fitted perfectly with an LX on an Alex DX32 (38mm wide) and were pretty stiff. The heatsink ones look good too, not as neat, but more adjustable.

    Cranks,

Agreed, although I'd go with GU cranks and a tensile freewheel, just to save money, and not loose much quality.
  6. Nah, smooth welds are stronger, as its usualy a sign that the weld is evenly distibuted, which is stronger, also the smooth surface of the weld gives the structure more even distribution of force, reducing the stress risers, meaning a stronger joint.
  7. Try e-mailing hope, they, normaly will do custom disc rotors for people.
  8. You really should as some more examples to your website Iolo, you could put up some detailed pictures so people can how smooth the welds are on my frame. Judging from what people have said so far it would definatly help your sales.
  9. Oh, Liking the look and sound of this, can I pre-order a copy now Rich? Haha, I see taunton canal in there!
  10. Yay, my frame! Many many thanks, its a real head turner, and rides incredibly. Full build pics
  11. Indeed, gunna get one when I have some money, but I'm a broke student bum who can barely afford food at the moment, so its gunn have to wait a bit, and meh, that one works for now (although I bent it when it was on my jump bike) Edit: MASSIVE THANKS TO IOLObikes.com FOR THE FRAME!!!! ITS AMAZING!
  12. Well within the top-tube there is an 8mm copper pipe brazed so that the ends come diagonally out of the top-tube in the appropriate places, this means that the whole through the frame that the hose go's through is a sealed off tube, meaning that the hose cannot move around, and the elements cannot get into the frame. As for the graphics, I kinda agree, but they look better in the random positioning I asked for I think. Edit: you can see the copper tubes end in one of the thumbnails I added
  13. I heard something about that, they took the whale-tale spoilers off in one coutry then kept wondering why they were canstantly spinning out and crashing.
  14. Rides/locations forum Best place for that kinda stuff
  15. Yeah, sorry, don't think I'll be able to get in that early with my bike, doubt my mum will want to give me a lift in at that time. If I can blag my bike on a bus then I'll be in by like 7:30-7:45ish
  16. Not sure how earliy I can get a lift in really, shall try for about 9:30 at the latest though, Unless I can Blag my bike onto the 6:30 bus
  17. Well the bike about 25-30lb I think. Meh, blood dyslexics!
  18. I just use this picture I took at west bay on sunday (but bigger obviously): Another good one from that day:
  19. Were doing framework internal stress analysis at college at the moment, at me on msn if you want I could probably help you with some of it, its ringwams@hotmail.com
  20. They come with the magura bleed kits I think, not sure if you can buy them seperatly.
  21. How I understand it anything up to nationals will alow you to run single speed, the nationals will let you enter, but you wount be ranked and cannot get any competition points, you can just do it for the fun. But to enter the nationals or anything bigger properly you need atleast 6 working gears.
  22. Yeah, the hose goes through an 8mm tube inside the top-tube. I'm really impressed with the quality of the frame, its amazing. Even better than I was expecting really. The frame set me back £385 and I think the bike so far has only worked out as about £750 for the full build! The frame rides insanely nicely, its really weird, there appears to be no downside to it, Its suprisingly really nice for pure trialsy stuff, yet spins, bunnyhops and manuals insanely. Its made of T45 steel (same as curtis) The Geo on it is: 1050 wheelbase with those forks. (yeah, long for a 24" but it works well) 380 rear end (adjustable between 370 and 390) 25 BB rise 73 head angle Oh and as I mentioned above theres a gindplate/guard under the left chainstay that goes right around the back of the BB and down the first few inch's of the right chainstay. Will get some pics of it properly when I can get the camera back of my mum. The 6 week weight was because he was busy for 2 weeks then needed 4 weeks to build and paint the frame, not bad if you ask me, and well worth the weight. I'll get some better pics tonight probable when I get home from college.
  23. Haha yeah, Its one of those old plastic BMX seats, looks a lot better in real life, but it'll be gone for a black skinny roadie style one soon, just as my mate blue V8s will be changed for my grey ones when he gives them back.
  24. Just got my Iolo frame this morning after 6 week weighting for it to be made. And Im extreamly impressed, Its even more gorgeous than I was expecting. Its rides gorgeously to put it simply, everyting just feels smooth and well, nice. The main differences to a 'normal' 24" trials frame are the horizontal dropouts, Internal hose roughting, rear break on the underside of the stays and guard under the left chain stay. Frame alone pics
