  2. I think he's on about the memorial drop gap, that in another forum he made out that it was him snapping his BB on it, even though it was Rich Pearson. Fair play if you have do it Pete, but get a video of yourself, not someone else :wink2:
  3. As far as weights concirned, if I remember right leesons are made from Reynolds tubing, meaning as far as materials are concirned, there gunna be a lighter than cheepish 4130 chro-molly (most £200ish steels frames ie. DMR, 24seven ect), and lighter then T45 (Iolo, Curtis ect) but slightly weeker than T45 I think, but correct me if I'm wrong. Of corse this all depends on things like frame design and wall thickness, I just mean the material its self.

Nah, people in the UK pretty much all run the front break on the right and back break on the left, its because of us driving on the other side of the road.
  5. Wasps are indeed tiny, there kids bikes, for the lucky people amongst us who get a head start by taking up trails at a very young age.
  6. You could do what Iolo did with my frame, Put a tube cut in half length ways across, so its like you've moved the brace so far forwards that its half in the BB shell, and put a plate going along the bottom of that and then onto the bottom of the stays, could put a plate on the top too if you're worried. Can kinda see it in some of these pictures

    Cranks,

Tensile cranks - £109 (or GUs for £110 if you want deng) New Echo BB - £45 ACS claw 18t - £16 Total - £170 Or if you want something better rhan an ACS (keeping in mind tensile and monty freewheels are out of stock) Tensile cranks - £109 (or GUs for £110 if you want deng) SKF BFR300 - £43 Try-all Freewheel - £52 (or a monty for £39 when there back in stock) Total - £204 with tryall £191 with monty You cant have the SKF with any freewheels other than those two as the over-sized axle fouls the removal tabs Edit: you will need a 128 or 122.5mm BB axel as you are running a front freewheel.
  8. RaceFace Northshore XS square taper cranks with 20t Need a 122mm BB to clear the maggie slaves with a 38mm rim. A 122 also gives a good chain line with a Revolver SS hub and an ACS claw when using the granny ring.
  9. Just pinched my Tioga DH 24 at 35psi doing a just under 2m gap, didn't even land it that harshly, its just stupid, also just before i was finding that it wouldn't even grip on pallets, I was gaping and ass I kicked the tyre would wheel spin making me cock up badly. I really need to get a better 24" rear tyre, anyone know where I can get a 2.35 or 2.5 maxxis high roller? To whoever asked earlier, halo combats suck, they dent really easily, I managed to bend the sidewalls on my jump bike without even hitting the rim, so that when I trued one sidewall of the rim to within 0.5mm movement the other sidewall would be moving up to 2mm.Also needed truing every 2 weeks or so. The tornadoes are the same as atomlab GIs but with eyelets, so should be pretty nice. I put an atomlab DHR on the back after the combat and it kicked ass, completely indestructible. Personally for trials I've got a BMF rear and a Rhino Light on the front, great so far.
  10. Yeah, there definatly worth going for, they feel much nicer than the standard ones.

    Tf Cribs

You would untill I took pictures where you can see the computer table and floor!
  12. Defiantly go for the P2 over the amplitude, on paper they are a close match, but the Saracen will ride like a pile of wank, when the P2 will ride like a dream. Also the quality of the frame is much greater on the P2 leaving much more room for upgrades. Oh, and Avid mechanicals work better than Hayes Sole hydraulics anyway. I know from experience.
  13. Is that a BMX track in the background or am I just being a big gay as usual?

  15. Indeed, thats exactly what I think, as soon as people start on the weed, I go off on my bike, find some people who arn't smoking it and ride. As for comparing weed and bike trials, bike trials has a shed load more benefits than weed, like physical fitness for example. All i know, is that the come down from weed last a day or two and sucks, the come down from a really good ride is a big grin for a day or two. Come off it yes, recover from it, no, I know the tissue in the brain is extrodinary stuff, but growing back like 15-20% of your brain is far from easy. Alcohol is becoming a magor problem in england, its all the pissed up little girls who don't know how to control how much vodka filled panda pop to drink without screwing themselves up. If you drink in modoration, then alcohol will not cause you major problems. Its the same with weed, but i know alot of people who always said they'd do it every now and then, then they just end up living off the stuff. Alcohols not the same like that, because when you've been having too much weed you don't wake up feeling like utter shit and unable to touch the stuff for a long time. (unless you whitey, but you can easily have too much without doing that.)
  16. Edit: was kinda harsh before Weed really does suck sometimes, I have nothing against people having the odd bit at a party or something, but don't become a personality-less stoner. So many people say its less harmfull than alcohol, but personaly, brain or liver?? not really a tough choice, my brain is me, my liver is part of me. I know that a small amount isnt really gunna screw you up, so fair play, just dont think that its harmless, because you've obviosly never seen brain-scans of regular users if you do. Oh yeah, I have tryed it, so don't think I'm just being a dick, but you can't denie hard fact, and the fact is, it screws with your personality, and I'd rather be me, than me, missing parts of my personality.
  17. The mentioned incident, I though it was insanely harsh to give them parking tickets. I mean, if they cant park them just outside the shop, and the doorway isn't wide enough, how are they supposed to get to the shop? (oh, and yeah, it is a real parking ticket, I could see all the documents and stuff inside it)
  18. I think what he's getting at is that with a 135mm hub the spokes have a wider base, therefor building into a stiffer wheel, not the hub, but the wheel. Only thing is that with the Deng 135mm hubs, the body apears to be the same, just with wider spacers on the outside, so the spoke bass would be exactly the same. Out of interest, how far does the mech bolt go into your hub? looks really neet, strong and simple compared to a standard hanger system. Kinda like the shimano saint stuff, but with alot less faffing around.
  19. Yeah, we always get a security guard moing us on from the library car park because its council land, but he just says to go and ride the supermarket carpark beside it, atleast untill his shifts over. Also riding in a car park a security guy from the shop came oer going 'I've got some bad news for you guys' and we all though he was gunna moe us on, but it turned out he was just telling us they were putting up some railings to stop people coming through fast on bike, we were just like 'How high are these railings gunna be?' haha.
  20. Ah, sweet, cheers Guessing from those that the lower bolt holes are too narrow for my 4-bolts (94mm spacing) and there isnt really any room to drill it out any wider, could just use the top 2 bolts of the 4-bolt mounts and scrap the lower section all together. Gotta say the one on CRC doesnt look quite the same as the one you'e got there Pete.

    Pad Reviews

Pads: BT Yellows Time used: Not long Rim used: Planet X BMF, 24" Grind: No Ceraminc: No Brake used: Magura What is your opinion of a working brake: Locks well, wont slip, reliable and trustworthy. How do they compare to previous pads you have used: Piss all over everything. Better than my old montys on a grind by miles. Review: Absolutly amazing performance on a smooth rim, even with hardley any time to bed in, they just hold so well, its weird, so much bite. Not really loud, but hey, that'd be out of place on a 24". Get them, they really are amazing.
  22. Genraly 24" bikes just use 26" forks with either a disc, or with the break mounts cut off and re-welded lower down. So if you want rim-breaks you're limited to steel forks, but run a disc and you can use whatever forks you want. As for rims, theres loads availible, but a few are 36 hole only, I've got a BMF on the back, which are dam good and a Sun Rhino Light on the front, which kick ass. There are a few out there.
  23. Yeah, I saw those on CRC the other day, was thinking they looked pretty good for a tenner, anyone know if theres room to drill them to 4 bolt? or know about the tyre clearence?
  24. Every now and then I oil and check my chain and ACS, and check/grease my headset and check my wheels. Before every ride I check my chain tension, pedal and cranks tightness and my breaks. Besides that basically, if its broken, fix it. Most important thing, is to always install stuff properly, that way it will play up much less, and wont cause you hassle when you try and take it out or replace it.
