You really are good at those wheelswaps arent you? Nice picturtes, shame about them being a little blurred but I dont think anyones bothered.

I went from a street loving maniac on a planet x zebdi (old MK2 one!) to a slightly longer koxx levelboss 1065, then to a UCI lover on a t-rex, and now a Czar Ivan long. I love the Czar, i have only had it for about a month but i can do sidehops, gaps to front and back wheel etc just as well as you would expect on this kind of frame but I can still manual, spin and bunnyhop it. Trick is to run a back brake with SOME modulation.
-
Tell me about it! I nearly bought the XTP R until I found out how much it was! I went for the Czar, same frame but nearly £500 cheaper! Dont you have a coust anyway Jason? If so try something different, the koxx coust is too similar to your current frame to be spending that kind of money on.

I would spend the extra and get the welded version, it saves hassle and its ready to fit and run straight away.

Avid Bb5 - Is It Still Quite Good?
Luke Drewery replied to bikerboysam1's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
The bb5 will be just about as powerful as the bb7, providing you can set it up properly with square pads and correct spacing either side. The set up and overall maintenance will make it worthwhile to spend the extra and get the bb7. -
Yes you can run 05 maguras without that silly booster. I switched from an 04 lever to an 05 and it feels so much better. Looks better too. What pads are you running at the minute? Try some plazmatics, heatsink blues/reds or the new heatsink coust pads. They all work very well providing you have a fairly harsh grind (you can run the heatsink blues on a smooth rim, I did with no tar and the bite was unblievable, would slip).

I much prefer kings, I have had about three hopes, each one had to have new internals at least once and I am not a heavy rider, but I use my bike everyday. I was fed up of buying new pawls, springs and racthets so I bought a king wheel off ebay and I am very impressed.

I had this problem when I was learning, you just have to kind of relax yourself and dont over think about the move. Set off late, use a 3/4 pedal stroke and wait until the front wheel is high up before you actually throw your weight UP and forward and push the bike out in front of you, legs slightly bent and land. You should be angled enough and high enough on the ledge now to stay on the backwheel.

I honestly think that is over the top. Fair enough bright rims look quite good, because they are only a component on the bike, but a bright frame, especially from a company like koxx, puts me off the bike majorly. I like the blue version better, I would get one if they were cheaper but I have a Czar, which is besically an XTP R without any paint and different stickers.

For Anyone Who Wants To See Sick Pedal Ups!
Luke Drewery replied to Luke Williams!'s topic in Videos
I think this has already been posted, Im not sure though. Good video, I dont like their style at all but they sure have power. -
Oh man I know, my mum used to get them when I was a lot younger, I was gutted when we could no longer find them anywhere.
-
That would be nice, though Im not a fan of flat bars. I had some brisa ones and when I switched to zoo bars my riding improved so much, everything feels more comfortable, especially taps. The rest is basically the same as mine though, fattys and urbans are about the same length, weight and shape. EDIT: Oh and I dont know what the long version of the frame would be like for you, because I am 6ft 3-4 and im 15. The long feels shorter than it is though because of the higher bb. I feel the 1070 is way too short considering the bb height. The choice is yours.

Heres my beauty; Echo 2006 hi-fi stem, zoo bars, fatty r forks, cheapo cane creek headset.

Anyone? Not bothered if they are negative, just want to know what you think of it. The comments have been good so far though guys.
-
Does anyone know if the heatsink coust pads are for sale yet? If so how do I order? It says nothing about them on the website. I got an email a few days ago saying that coust pads are now available in aluminium and powerpad backings, along with the new 24UK frame etc. I want to try some as my heatsink blues are nearly dead! Cheers, Luke.

Any more comments? Not trying to be annoying, just want more opinions.
-
What didnt you like about the editing? I have explained about the lack of different locations in the video, I dont have a camera of my own yet... What do you mean by conditions?
-
I have seen those before, its the 2005 mission prodigy frame/bike. I hate it, it looks like something you would buy from toys r' us.
-
Come on peeps! The comments so far have been useful, a few more would be nice.
-
Cheers Billy, I got a very similar comment on OTN. Because I havent got a camera of my own filming in varied locations is hard for me at the minute. Hopefully I am getting one for my birthday then some serious filming will be done. Anyone else watched it?
-
I saw two clips of myself in there. Nice little compilation, the quality let it down a little though.
-
Anyone? Not many replies and lots of views.
-
There was only a couple of clips in there that have been used before, some look similar to ones I have used before though. Cheers, the end bit was experimental, I had never seen it done before so I tried it. Anyone else? Keep them coming guys.
-
What do you mean by lurches? Gaps to backwheel? Cheers for the comment though. Thats true, I dont have a camera of my own at the minute and my parents dont like me taking theirs out that often, so until I get my own the locations are only going to be whats local to my house. Keep them coming guys, Im looking for comments on riding/editing/music etc.
-
Right, I have just finished my first video. Some of the riding is on my Czar, some on my old t-rex. This is my first go at editing, but I am chuffed with it. Comments are very much appreciated since its my first video, as they will help make my next video better. Riding is all street since I couldnt get to any natural locations with a camera. Heres the link; tv.isg Cheers, Luke.
