  1. What he said, i have a KMC kool 8 speed chain from tartybikes and i definately trust it when im going for gaps and drops etc, pretty cheap too :)
  2. Just another cheese rim copy, whats the point in copying parts from other companies as people will probably just buy off the original creator, unless the 'copy' companies parts are cheaper. Nice to them for trying though
  3. I think its just because they were not used to trials as they may not have seen it before. When ive done demos for my local bike shop the crowd never clap either, they just stand and watch, like somebody said, you need a commentator to bring lots of interest to the riding...
  4. My first bike was a barracuda slum, it was more of a jump bike, and had huge rigid forks that weighed a ton. It also had a 32t bashring and tektro v-brakes. However, i actualy started learning on a raleigh max suspension bike with 180 endos, backhops, bunnyhops etc. Then i got a planet x zebdi, and now i have a levelboss 1065.
  5. That happens to me too, its very scary and puts me off a bit. Thats why you have to angle your bike when you hit the wall, to make space for your good foot...
  6. That was some very impressive riding indeed. I would go as far to say it reminded me of neil tunnicliffe vids, you pulled some huge rail gaps, drop gaps, touchops etc etc, and some good switchfoot too. Top vid (Y)
  7. Is there any need to bring up the UCI arguments again, it doesnt matter how you do something, everyone finds their own way to do it.
  8. Cool video, some nice riding and good editing, I liked the way the vid was seperated into individual rider sections :S
  9. Nice pics, some impressive riding there. Those backwheels look huge :S
  10. They may look crap but they are actually pretty comfy for riding, as thats what they are designed for (duh). So basically, function over fashion in my opinion :S
  11. That would piss me off mightily. What a strange place to break, there is a serious manufacturing or design defect if they always break there. You are kind of lucky though because if they didnt snap then they could have snapped during a section at the comp :S
  12. Deffo go for v8's, best pedals for trials, street, dirt jumping etc in my opinion. Cheap, strong, light, good grip and come with replacable pins and a choice of colours
  13. That place looks mint, i seem to recognise it off trialskings vids too :S

    .~

That looks pretty nice, although the forks and bar and stem spoil it a bit, but if they work then it doesnt matter i suppose :S

    Searching

Its called the biketrial psycho trailer, its absolutely insane! Most of it is either HUGE drops or HUGE drop gaps howver, so not much variation. Still worth watching though, those spanish riders are superhuman >_<
  16. I would just regrind your rim, as a light grind isnt going to help, a smooth rim works better than a light grind anyday. But as seen as your getting your new wheel, no point unless you want to ride now...
  17. When i do this i always start sideways, then turn slightly in the air so i land firmly on top. This allows you to lower the front wheel a lot more to get the power without it hitting the wall. So, rather than starting at a right angle to the wall, start more sideways.
  18. Nice pictures, some very good riding there. Nice angles too, impressive
  19. Yes i would recomend echo urban forks, very nice. As people have said just check carefully for damage particularly around the crown area.
  20. I was thinking the exact same thing, because hes always had planet x's, and used to have an old skool pash (very nice). He suits shorter frames i think, but obviuosly its up to him, he may benefit from the more 'up to date' design
  21. Mint video, the riding is awesome and the editing is good too. I still dont understand wheel swaps on rails
  22. I run zoo pads on a ground rim, and i find the squeaking can be quite annoying, however i like it because i know my brake is powerful and so i can trust it. It bites and locks very well
  23. Cheers for the advice, i tried that and it worked very well. My brake locks up very well now, the added power of a disk flexes my lite guys a bit much for my liking though
  24. I would probably go for the t-mag, it comes with a disk and isnt as common as a t-pro, as well as having a better frame design. They are both good bikes for the money, so its personal preference really (Y)
  25. Yeh but hes hurt his ankle anyway, so he cant ride even if he does have a bottom bracket...
