  1. I see. So he means 'pair of pairs of pads'.
  2. So... what is the difference between 'posted' and 'pair' in this respect?
  3. I used to run standard black pads on CD rims and they were fine. Also you could try the red Koolstop pads. For wet weather use I find that a grind is necessary.
  4. I'm tempted now. First pair of red grips are mine. And unless those Toxsin rims are hideously ugly, I'll probably have a pair. Thirty two holes each.
  5. That sounds like your bag. Yeah, so there may have been facts in your posts, but all that stuff about Ben not being worthy... nah, no 'sound guy' comes up with shit like that.
  6. This isn't a 'oh no, Austin is my friend and he's actually all right' thread, it was a thread started by Wayne to congratulate Ben for winning the championship. Simple. What annoyed people was Austin questioning his win, and spouting crap as if he thinks he's actually better than Ben or something. Be it jealousy or whatever, it's pretty low when someone can't appreciate somebody else's achievements but instead has to try and justify why they themselves didn't do so well. It's pretty clear to me that we don't all ride for fun, which is a shame.
  7. I take it you mean the older (square downtube) version? For the sort of riding you want to do it'll be just fine, and you can run a normal saddle on it too. The geometry isn't popular by today's standard (since everyone now seems to want low long bikes without seats) - not sure of exact geometry, but I think it's about 1035mm wheelbase, 395mm (ish) chainstays. For street trials and general playing around it'll be nice to ride.
  8. Do apologise (or was that a compliment?!). Thought it was a Golf. Didn't realise they did a Polo GT, but then, I don't know much about VW's other than that the older Golfs are nice. I'm into Ford's myself, so feel free to laugh at me all you like!!
  9. Quite. Good choice, the ol' Golf.
  10. I know how, because he's a damn good rider. In 2004 he decided to ride the BIU nationals on a 26" - and won. How did you do? You are actually very pathetic. When was the last time you ever heard Ben mouth of about anyone? Oh, so you might be able to tap a bit higher, big f**king deal. Check Ben's achievements. You really should keep your bitterness to yourself you ignorant little boy. Yeah, lets see if Butler ever achieves what Martyn has. Lets see if Butler ever gets the respect that he gets - and I'm not just talking about trials riders, I'm talking about people all over the World. I doubt Butler will ever make a living from riding a bike, or own his own bike company. I think people like this need to spend some time in the real World, instead of being spoon-fed by their parents. God it makes me sick...
  11. Well, it was down to the guys who installed it. I wasn't allowed to touch it (being just a lowly resident), although I think in the end I did manage to get hold of the password for the config page. By then I didn't care, because I was moving out of that horrible flat. And yeah, I can so relate to your avatar!!!
  12. 6 is a bit late, Adam. Although I'll be around then. Got any red Toxsin grips yet?
  13. Yeah, left hand pedal, left hand thread - right hand pedal, right hand thread. And we all know that a right hand 'normal' thread does up when you turn clockwise. If you're not careful and get it wrong, you might strip a thread in one of your cranks, and that just isn't amusing.
  14. Disks are three for a pound here. Not bad, that. Yeah, I'm going to go with a stone one. Thanks again for the help.
  15. Hannibal Brooks Von Ryan's Express Live & Let Die Zulu
  16. My post is still there if you'd like to read it again
  17. Don't tell Austin, he'll probably cry...
  18. If it's a jump bike, get 3pc BMX cranks with a Euro BB.
  19. Definitely the black ones Jonathan. I see so many cars with 'clear' (colourless?) rear lenses and they look stupid. Like, a dark red car with clear rear lenses... just doesn't work. Darker ones are nicer because they blend in a bit - clear ones just stick out. And look shite. Like the Fiesta I saw the other day on 18's. Why. Even. Bother. Bet it drives like a toad, and you needed a step-ladder to climb into the thing.
  20. Although... when we were given a wireless LAN set up in a flat I used to live in the berks didn't set it up properly, and for a while the only way we could get to any sites was by using the IP (as the hostnames couldn't be resolved). Wasn't much use as you couldn't follow links of anything. Spastics... and they were some IT firm...
