  1. I did about the same for Santa Pod, Tom. It was completely washed out, got ABSOLUTELY soaked, and covered in mud. Shame really, because there were a lot of nice cars there. Really struggled to get out of the car park too, and I was parked in the "better" car park! Paul, here are the pictures as promised. If you want anymore, let me know and I'll pop down and take some.
  2. Now off to "The Fast Show" at Santa Pod. Sounds a bit chavvy, but meh, its not too far from mine. Only going to VAG shows gets a bit tedious too, I like seeing what "the scene" is doing in other marques. Just hope the weather brightens up a bit! (Paul, if you're reading this, I took some pictures of that 944 this morning, Ill upload them when I'm home. Can't say for certain because of the rain on the windows, but it looked very much like it had only done 32k!)
  3. Its not that bad, as long as you're methodical. You dont actually have to completely take the front off, you can just slide the front panel (with the radiator, lights, a/c rad etc) into "service position", and leave everything connected, but I hadn't done this type of engine before, so wanted an unobstructed view.
  4. Doing a cambelt and waterpump change on my mum's B5.5 1.9tdi VW Passat. Getting to this stage has taken an unholy amount of bolts...silly VW!
  5. Paul, I may have gotten slightly confused with the price; Lauren has just told me its £1850. Sorry! 2 out of 4 numbers right
  6. How much are you asking for the a3?
  7. Its like the one on the right of Robin's picture. I'm not to good on Porsche model numbers! I can take a closer look at it if you want? My definition of mint was that it looked very very clean whenever I've driven past
  8. There's one for sale, very near me. Its (I think!) £1500, although it might be £1200 or £1600, I can't remember! Its a B reg, and looks absolutely bloody mint. Keep toying with the idea, but have nowhere to put it
  9. There is NOTHING naughty about that. It's a shit idea, lol.
  10. That's a JDM though. JDM good, UKDM bad
  11. I can see the appeal with JDM dc2's, but hate the UK front ends. I always fancied an Integra to be fair, they are nice cars.
  12. After all the piss taking out of Honda's, and you might be getting one?! You hypocrite!
  13. American electrics are f**ked up! Taking a fuse out should totally isolate a componant, not half isolate it. Stupid Yanks Just because it isn't blowing the fuse straight away, doesn't mean its not a short. It could insulation related. Check the actual fuse outlet too.
  14. It could have 100 cylinders...the torque figure is still too low!
  15. I very nearly bought an e46 m3 instead of my leon. Luckily it was a dog, or I'd be "one of those guys" . LOVE the e46's styling, best looking affordable car for a long time.
  16. Sounds like you have the wrong elements then. If they are designed to run at 240v, and they are only getting 120v, they wont heat up. Where did you get the elements from? You never answered before, but I presume all your other appliances run at 110-120v?
  17. It will be firmer, that's for sure. If you're only looking to go 40mm, you might be better off with just springs, they retain a lot more comfort!
  18. No...car modifying seals the deal
  19. What is the voltage over there? I presume 110? If so, it all seems ok voltage wise. Is it 120 on both sides of the element?
  20. Put one test lead on the Neutral, the other on the feed side of the element, it should read 240v (or whatever the American voltage is), it should be the same on the other side too. Its not on a timer or something daft is it?
  21. Nobody will say anything, don't worry Glad that you can use this as a voice.
  22. ...its not Dave. Nobody will know who this is other than moderators/admin.
  23. How odd! Wonder how they differ internally then...
