  1. Its not really a squeak, its more of a groan. Every time the suspension moves, but its not the suspension, because there's nothing loose or rubbing or binding. It sounds like a dry bush or something, but literally can't work out where its coming from. It sounds like its only on the drivers side though. I'm going to disconnect the drop links, just to see if its the arb. Other than that, EVERYTHING is new.
  2. My suspension is creaking, and its REALLY annoying! Had it all apart, and greased all the spring platforms up and everything; but it still persists. Its either the arb bushes, or the new wishbone bushes I've put in. Its only the driver's side though. Either way, I'm close to driving it straight into a ditch.
  3. Both have the same engine. LCR has FWD, S3 has Quattro. S3 is more of a high spec rep mobile (heated heated leather recaros, bose speakers etc), the LCR is the more sporty one (Brembos, quick rack etc etc). LCR will be faster due to less weight, but S3 will grip and handle better (out of the box) because of the Quattro and IRS. Depends what you want from the car really. Personally I much prefer the look of the Leon; it looks more sporty rather than an overweight version of its less powerful brother...in the case of the S3/A3.
  4. Thought you were looking at a civic this morning?!
  5. I honestly think my girlfriend changes her mind about stuff less than you! Looks nice Tic, go get it! Not a fan of that wheel colour either. Either needs to be really dark, or siler.
  6. Thanks! It's certainly getting there. Just debating on getting my wheels refurbed a darker grey or not. Can't work out if I like the contrast of the bright silver, or a more stealthy look. Nearly chopped it in for a 2.5L turbo R33 Skyline on Friday...until I realised it wouldn't fit in my garage
  7. Mine are done as Robin suggested. I found the standard lights to be a bit "bright" when they weren't tinted. They almost looked white instead of silver, looked odd on a darkish coloured car: I would highly reccomend getting chrome indicator bulbs too if you can. Stops the orange colour bleeding out into the indicator as making the whole lense look orange.
  8. Penguins are so pointless when you actually step back and look at them, haha!

    Films!?

Watched "Trance" at the cinema last night. Really really good. Would happily watch it again (infact, I think I might...may tie up a few points!). HIGHLY reccommend it! Its a Danny Boyle film; so expect to be head-f**ked! There is even a few close ups of some bare fanny...got to be worth it for that!
  10. Would probably be a bit much for yours. I only want one because I'm getting a bigger rear arb. I've got 19f/24r, I want 23f/28r. Just a 23mm on the front of yours would make it more understeery.
  11. Yup, 19mm under the shaft jobby. Help me find an R32 one
  12. If I can find an R32 23mm arb, I'll have my 19mm one for sale if anybody wants it?
  13. Just be aware the link to the genuine LCR ones I posted is only for one side. In all honesty, in your situation, I would just go with the cheaper ones.
  14. Standard: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Strut-Top-Mounts-Bearings-PAIR-Front-Left-or-Right-Mounting-Bushes-Bushing-NEW-/360490712953?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AGolf%7CPlat_Gen%3AMK+IV&hash=item53eeebbf79 Cheaper than I thought! LCR's: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SEAT-LEON-CUPRA-R-LCR-FRONT-SUSPENSION-TOP-MOUNT-AND-BEARING-STANDARD-UPRATED-/171009778691?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27d0fa2403 If you ring Sere Motors direct, they will be cheaper than the ebay page. (Dave @ Sere is an AWESOME guy....literally never had such good customer service from anybody. He works at a Seat dealership which has won award after award for customer service). If you're going to go for LCR mounts; make sure they are genuine, most aftermarket ones are just the same rubber as "normal" topmounts.
  15. No, its right. Just after a while the top mounts end up compressing (because they are rubber); which can cause knocking, and the bearings wear out over time. Makes sense to replace them while they are off the car. You can pick a set up for around £30 on ebay.
  16. You CAN fit them without needing anything else, its only when you drop it more than 40mm that you have issues (on anything but an LCR, S3, TT, or R32). Even if you bought the most expensive coilovers on the market, it would be exactly the same. By the way Mike and Luke...have you bought new top mounts and bearing to go on when you change the suspension?
  17. Gotta love chassis fillets. Mmmmm...
  18. That's a pretty bold claim...mine is more than capable on track. Mike, why not, out of interest?
  19. We've established all that Nick, keep up!
  20. Should fit, its the right shape at least! Just have to make sure you get the right size arb bushes for it. Luke, that blue Cupra is a bag of shit. Saw it at Ultimate Dubs in the car park. Every single panel on it is f**ked.
  21. The prices hit rock bottom, but they are gradually climbing again (thank god!)
