Working really hard and saving loads of money to buy something is THE most rewarding thing. That moment where you actually hand over your hard earned cash and take it away is AWESOME!!! I say go for it, if you really really want it. Although, I would echo what everybody else is saying...how are you going to do all the other bits associated with driving if you're going to have to skrimp so much to buy it? Actually buying the car is normally the cheap bit!

Ah f**k. Moderator fail! Edit instead of quote. Sorry dude!
-
Your ko4'ing your a3. Boom. Surprise ruined P.S. Nobody cares, and you won't do it.
-
You have nothing to lose by trying the police, but don't disappointed if they won't help, it is a civil matter at the end of the day. You might get lucky and get a helpful force though!
-
Ah, had it been PayPal you would have had some protection. You may well be shafted then, police probably won't want to get involved unfortunatly
-
Also agreed, but that doesn't mean they deserve to have their kid taken (and murdered now by the sounds of it).

JD, that is SO true! An ex of mine had parents who were REALLY strict. She had to be home before 9:30 every night, I was NEVER allowed in her bedroom, as well as loads of other ridiculous rules. Bearing in mind I was 18 (nearly 19), and she was 17, I thought this a touch over protective! She since went to uni, and went MAD at the sight of alcohol, drugs and nights out. She partied so much, and so hard that she ended up failing her degree. She wasn't a dumbass either, she was an A* achieving student. All because her dad never let her have any freedom. f**k letting my kids end up like that! Also, many of the dirtiest slutty whores I know went to all girl boarding schools. Never seen such cock-gobblers!

At no point have I said no blame lies with them. It is NOT their "fault" she was abducted. It is the guy that took her who is at fault. She was not unattended anyway, hence the witness statements. You make it sound like she was on her own stood in the middle of a field with a big flag saying "PLEASE TAKE ME"!
-
Ok. You won't mind if I come and set fire to your house then; after all, it will be your fault for not making it fireproof It's not just me disagreeing with your opinions. That's what forums are for...
-
How can you disagree with me, but agree with Jardo?! We both said the same things lol. So, somebody comes into HER garden, and takes HER child whilst her back is turned for a few minutes, yet its HER fault?! You need your head checked. Lets adapt it a bit, and say the abductor comes into the house through the back door and takes her while she is playing...according to your thinking, its still HER fault because she's not tied to her leg.

I take it you don't have kids yourself, or have any youngsters in your family then. It is IMPOSSIBLE to keep a close eye on a 5 year old 100% of the time! My niece is coming up to 4 years old. She quite often amuses herself in my sisters back garden (prob about 1/2 acre size) while my sister is inside doing housework etc. She checks her frequently of course, and keeps an ear out...so does that make her a bad parent?! If a snatcher wants a kid bad enough, they will take them from a back yard. My sisters has a half height wooden gate, but its not locked or anything. My neice could probably open it if she wanted to, but she knows she would be in big trouble. Kids can't be kept prisoner in a house because they might be snatched. While you're at it, you better not feed them in case they choke, or bath them in case they drown... People like you boil my piss. If you ever end up having kids, they will be the biggest social rejects going, and it will be all your doing!
-
So how long does a child have to be unsupervised before they are deemed "snatchable"? What's to say she couldn't have been snatched in the first 30 seconds of being outside? (Hypothetically speaking...obviously they know she was outside longer than this)
-
Prosecute them for what charge? Do you not think losing their child is punishment enough?!

I got a £50 jobby from a Wilcos. Think its a Laser (basically the same as the Pela). I've been doing oil changes with it for at least 4 years, and have never had a problem with it. They are so good, I could confidently do an oil change in a suit, haha! You just have to be aware that they wont' get rid of every single last drop of oil, but it makes life SO much easier. Even when you drop the oil from the sump, there's still bits of old oil floating around the system anyway, so I don't think it really matters. Sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error to get the pickup tube positioned correctly in he sump for maximum extraction, but after a few goes you get it perfectly. My one has marks at 1L intervals, so you know when you have all the oil out (if you know the sump capacity!). Also makes disposing of the old oil very easy...I extract into the pump vessel, fill the engine with new oil (after fitting a new filter obviously), then pour the oil into the empty oil can using the funnel attachment on the extractor vessel. Happy days!

Reps are normally heavier than the real thing, but on a lardy Beemer, that isn't going to matter

£5 Off Ebay Again Before 10Pm! Quick Bitches
george_seamons replied to dann2707's topic in Chit Chat
Thanks! Used it to buy some chrome indicator bulbs I've been meaning to replace for ages, but didn't want to pay for, haha! -
As I understood it; you have a lift pump which supplies the swirl pot, then a high pressure from swirl pot to engine. Its not possible to go high>low>high (plus, I dont think the fuel would swirl very well under high pressure).

You dont need to educate me dude Niki took Nicks coldside relocation off when he was mapping it and put it back to factory location. Doesn't that say something? Seeing as the sun shines out his ass in your eyes, I thought you'd want the same! You've bought the wrong car for chavvy dumpvalve noises...go buy a 200sx or something
-
That's not flutter, that's compressor stall Seriously though, there's sod all you can do to a 007p to change the sound (other than reversing it, but then it sounds like a squeeky wet fart!) . If you ran an engine cover like a normal person, you wouldn't see the factory charge pipe hoses. That whopping great pipe running across the bay just looks SO max power, especially when its wrapped! The only crossover pipe that looks any good is the ko4 one, but that doesn't really help with the setup you have! Seeing as you're such good mates with Niki, ask him what he thinks of cold side relocations, then you won't want another one I thiiiiiink the ticking noise you're hearing might be the charcoal canistor (EVAP). Look for a black box about 3 inches square between the washer bottle and the expansion bottle (NOT the power steering resivoir!), and pull the electrical connection...the ticking should stop. It used to do my head in on both my a3 and the lcr, so I removed it from both. Its still plugged in electrically on the lcr (the actual valve bit just pulls out from the lid), but its wrapped in shit loads of tape, and stuffed really low down in the engine, so you can't hear it over the rest of the mechanical noises. Well worth doing.
-
How can you say an fmic on a ko3s TIDYS the engine bay?! The charge pipe looks f**king shit! Doesn't blend in at all, and is obviously an after thought! No matter what you do to the 007p, you won't get it to flutter...if you do, you've f**ked it. Injectors have ticked on every single 1.8t I have ever seen, I think its just how they are. Cleaning them in an ultrasonic bath wouldn't hurt though
-
What engine is it? I see it said VX, but not read anymore about it?

So so so so so so so tacky and ugly. Bleurgh.
