  1. Hahaha, yeah might not be such a bad idea! I don't really have a problem with ipods as such, (as I said, I have a 3rd (I think!) gen Nano) I just think they're more of a fashion item than a music player! I had actually looked into the Sony players, and the Creatives. The Zen looked quite nice, and was reasonably cheap. Anybody got any info on these?
  2. Ah yeah, forgot to say, a screen would be good! Thanks though!
  3. With Christmas fast approaching, I've been looking around for MP3 players for my girlfriend. Everybody nowadays seems to have an Ipod (including myself). However, I still stand by my thinking of them being over priced for what they are. She doesn't need anything amazing, as long as it plays music, and has a decent amount of storage, she'll be happy! I was just wondering if anybody had used any cheaper alternatives, and could suggest something with about 4-8gb storage? There seems to be quite a few Japanese Ipod Touch copies on Ebay for around £40, but these seem to be a bit too cheap to be true? Any ideas guys?
  4. Ok, fair enough. Shows how much I know, haha! Thanks for informing me though, its actually pretty interesting! I was just imagining a water wheel styled wheel, just using hot air instead of water (and the air going bottom to top, not top to bottom) ...I was actually basing my theory on being outside the box. Which I guess was wrong. In my scenario, would the same still apply?
  5. Surely it depends how light the wheel is? Going by the same principle as a hot air balloon, surely it would be possible to move a very very lightweight (probably paperweight!) wheel with purely heat? (presuming again, that it didn't catch fire!)
  6. But you can heat the air around the wheel, which would eventually start the wheel turning. So it would turn again. EDIT: Seems Steve said exactly the same thing alot quicker than me
  7. And to further that, none of us (moderators or admin) get paid to do what we do. 90% of us work at least a 9-5, or at uni, so when we come home after a days slog to find some petty argument and numerous reports, we are bound to possibly make a rash decision. I personally have never permanently banned somebody. I've handed out a few 48 hour suspensions when they were more than due, but other than that, I think I'm a fairly laid back when it comes to "discipline". This could be seen as good or bad, depending on which side of the fence you look at it from. As "we've" said countless times, use the report button. It makes things SO much easier. It links directly to the post in question, so there are no queries about which post it is etc etc. (However, make sure you mean to report, not reply! It makes me laugh the amount of times you have reports that were supposed to be replies to a post...come on, is it really that hard?!" At the end of the day, "we're" human beings, most of the time we will be understanding, but if pushed too far, we're bound to snap. I don't like suspending people, because I know its annoying to not be able to access the forum, but if you don't give "us" any other option, then we have no choice" The recent popularity increase in trials riding was always going to bring more people to the forum, that was obvious. I don't think its so much a case of people being dicks because of their persona, per se, its more a case of personality clashes between people. (however, equally, I could reel off a list of people this didn't apply to!) And with regards to Rich's comments about not contesting the rules, and we don't make the rules etc. At the end of the day, what he said was true. Ultimately, (as elitist and big-headed as it sounds) you're future on the forum is down to us, so arguably, we DO make the rules. People seem to forget that warns can be removed as well as added, I quite often go through peoples' warn logs, and check their warns, and if there is anything in there over a year or so old, provided it is justified to do so, it can normally be removed. Hopefully this will all blow over in the near future, and this place will be what it used to be once again. Until then, everybody TRY to make an effort! (and as a side note - Mat Smith, what you said about not making an effort, because this place isn't worth it; that is a ridiculous thing to say, thats where half of the problem lies! People like you are the ones bringing the forum down)
  8. ...and how old is she? She's either young and looks old, or is old, and looks young. I can't quite work it out!
  9. Jarrod, Spider-Lad has been on the forum for a loonnnng time...just under a different name. I'm not taking sides, just predicting what his response will be.
  10. Woooo! I got a tf birthday mention! Must make me special, haha. Cheers guys
  11. That'll do lads. Thanks for all the reports against Craig!_KotRider! He has been dealt with.
  12. Been asked to delete this topic, but seeing as you can't receive PM's, I thought I'd let you see here first.
  13. This is getting ridiculous now. RIP Josh, can't say I've ever met you, or ridden with you, but its still another rider in the community gone. Another loss to our close knit group. So saddening.
  14. If I want to close it, I will. Thanks. I don't really need you to tell me what to do.
  15. Why don't YOU "just f**king grow up". You've added NOTHING to the thread. The last few posts were a discussion about dyslexia, and you spouted up with that useless comment.
  16. One set of each if you have time, I don't really mind. Would be cool to see what it looks like!
  17. I've thought about doing the wheels the same colour as the front grille, but again, couldn't quite get the colour. Plus I'm a bit bored of the whole anthracite/black wheel shizzle. Hence going for the white. Fancy doing them black and grey if you're bored?
  18. Nice one, cheers guys! Think I actually quite like it like that!
  19. If you wouldn't mind? That was the same sort of colour I managed by adjusting the RGB values, but it looked so gash I gave up!
  20. Right, my wheels are in dire need of some new paint. I've been toying with the idea of spraying them the greeny-gold that Subaru Impreza wheels come in (this colour). But if it looks shite, I won't bother. However, I don't wanna fork out the money for paint etc, to find that out! This is my car: Could somebody photoshop my white wheels to this colour, pretty please?
