never seen the appeal of Pokemon, I think I was too old for the cartoons so always brushed it aside as a kids thing. The fact everyone is now on their phones in groups makes me not want to be a part of it at all, I never seem to grab on to popular things like this and TV shows

So after years riding the same bike I decided to try a new frame. Inspired just brought out the new 2016/17 Fourplay with updated geo and features that I wanted to try. If you want to see more then check out my Vlog for a bit of a bike check and some more reasons why I wanted to try it. Vlog episode right here

I found my Ultimate arms went notchy within a couple of months which then made setting up the pads to hit at the same time impossible, I tried to replace them but found it very hard and ended up breaking the arms. I'm a huge fan of shimano arms (narrow so easier to set pads up on wider rims) with an SD7 lever (the speed dial adjustment is really handy)

I REALLY want to go but it clashes with a demo that I could really do with getting the money from plus it's a 9 hour drive, I barely kept my sanity on the drive home after Tartydays last year!

Such a beast!! Best rider out there in my opinion.

thanks Andy! I'm pretty thankful of the gun laws over here, plus as long as you're doing stunts on a bike people seem to be your best friend usually...........usually.

I totally agree, I've heard people describe some of my stoppies as nose manuals and I usually try to explain the difference

I sometimes find the Spank rims can be harder to stress the spokes because the rims are so stiff, did you do it by hand or did you stamp on them (my preferred method)? I liked my SLX's, never snapped a pair and I had to do plenty of 10/11ft drops for shows. I did find that they'd bend or spin on the axle after a while which wasn't totally noticable until I went on other peoples bikes. I'm now riding raceface cranks and they are pretty good! a little heavier than the Shimano but no bending and they feel incredibly stiff. They are sharp though and I keep cutting my ankle on them.

I think it loosens off over time, I normally have it fairly proper (especially if I have a gopro on as they exaggerate any movement which I dislike).

sounds like it could be sciatica related, the sciatic nerve runs through the muscles in the lower back/ass and if these muscles get knots/damaged etc it puts pressure on the nerve causing pain. I had it really badly a couple of years ago, it went down my leg and sometimes my leg would give way when walking. I recommend stretching (there's plenty of advice on which ones on google) and seeing a massage therapist to try and relax the muscles and sort out any knotting. That got rid of mine and I've been fine since.

original member number 50 also still here occasionally

dabbing the brake is one of the lesser rules, it depends on the final outcome I think. If you can use it without it making and jerky movements or taking away any flow then its fine but if your'e totally dependant on it and it effects your style then that's not as good.

bitch cranks in manuals are just the worst, I look back at some of mine and I have a little cry
-
to me it's all about correcting mistakes, if you're bitch hopping in a manual then a mistakes been made and you're correcting it with a hop. With manual 180s, it's just a lesser way of doing the same move. Either get everything perfect and get a hop or just get it roughly right and fix with a crank, BMXers get called out for them all the time, I don't see why it's any different for trials. Pedal kicks (like in a static gap) are a specific technique that can't be done any other way, completely different from a bitch crank.

the captions seem to be increasingly necessary as I seem to be talking complete crap recently

That is my thoughts, I just watched a bit of him and that's just not me, I'm a happy enough guy but I'm not as animated (especially as I'l still a little shy at times). If I tried to be more lively I think it would look forced and not true to me. I do think this latest episode could have been shorter, it's often very hard to stick to a shorter video, even the times I thought I'd hardly filmed anything it stills ends up at 20 mins. I'm still finding my style so the channel may evolve yet.

all feedback is welcomed! I'll give him a watch while I build some wheels, cheers.

went and voted, such adultness!

I was waiting for this!! The disadvantages of having a non rider edit for you! (I re-did these lines but he used the first attempts), that manual up the stairs wasn't even a line, it was me just trying to get to the top to backwheel that rail again, I had no idea he had filmed it until I saw the edit.... Here's a picture of me right now....

I'd recommend watching this if you're still on the fence click me It's a little long sorry but if I'm going to listen to anyone it's going to be someone who's actually spent his academic life studying the exact issues we're now voting on. Give it a watch as it's pretty good and will hopefully give you a bit more of an insight. My other thought is that unless you are TOTALLY convinced we should leave, I'd still suggest voting to remain. If we leave that's almost definitely an irreversible step and if you voted for it and then decide that you'd rather stay then it's too late. If we stay then further down the line think that shits gotten worse then we can still leave! I think it's waaaaaaay too early to leave the EU if at all and it would be a tragedy if we left and then found out it was the wrong thing to do.

nice! I bet that's so light too! I'm with Mark on the seat though, the new tripod version would look really good on it (not a sales pitch haha!)
-
I thought it was Ben Travis, it's gotta be someone who knows the unwritten rules of riding, is smart enough to think of these ideas and not scared to rip into folk.....sounds like Ben to me! It also sounds like Mark and a bunch of other people. It's definitely not a comp rider as they wouldn't have a single clue plus they'd have to know how to use social media (ouch!). But for cereal I don't have a clue who it is.

A street trials bike has a seat, lower bottom bracket and often 24" wheels (26" is available too). They normally have a higher feeling handlebar and a more neutral feeling on the bike (body's pretty centred). They're usually good for bunnyhops, manuals, spins and are actually not too bad for most trials stuff either. They usually have a little weight penalty but are a lot more robust. They feel most like an actual MTB. Comp trials bikes don't have a seat to save weight, the bottom bracket is often very high to aid ground clearance and help with rear wheel control. The bars are often lower feeling (due to the higher bb) and the bikes are often very rear wheel bias. They're "almost" impossible to bunnyhop and spin but are great for natural due to the more precise rear wheel control. They're often super lightweight at the expense of duribility. They feel vastly different from a MTB.

Maybe I'm just oldschool when everyone started on pretty horrible bikes, but I really do feel you'll end up a better rider over all if you spend a year or so riding a "harder" bike. To me it's like buying a first car and getting a Ferrari, you'll go faster than a lot of people off the lights as it's got a big engine and is easy, but someone who bought a slower car first and took the time to learn with it will end up faster when they eventually get a Ferari. Plus the super car isn't as practical and limits what the persona can do with it.
