  1. It won't really be particularly relevant as the Fourplays have a super steep seat tube compared to most other frames, so that'll skew the overall top tube length a bit. If you got a frame which had the same length TT as your Inspired but with a normal seat tube angle, it'd feel a lot shorter overall.
  2. Trialtech forks have smooth-welded 4-bolt mounts which should mean they last a little longer than normal welded mounts like the Echo/Onza ones. The Trialtech crown looks nicer too without the big bulgy bit.
  3. We (this is Mark) measured the full build Freed and it was exactly the same geo as the Crewkerz site. We measured the frame only with an Echo Urban fork (400x35) and the WB was a load shorter and the BB a touch lower, so I'd assume that means the Crewkerz forks have about a mile of offset and would scrape under low bridges (or have approx. 405 x 45 geo).
  4. That's just an evolution of the way I drop, I know what you mean though. :wink2:
  5. other than not have as much hold and is harder to pull Vee on the rear every time, for trialsy trials anyway.
  6. the issue I have is that modern comps seems to be about who's spent most time in the gym rather than who's been out riding the most. I'd much rather see more technical stuff than big power moves. Plus I don't agree that ramps has no place in trials, They used to have high jump comps in trials much like they used to in Mototrials. Leon's point about getting over anying put in your path is a valid one and a point I agree strongly with, what's the point in being a trials rider if you get so specialised in sidehops and backhops that you can't ride down a ramp and up the other side. Again in Japan they had a section on a BMX racetrack (timed, with penalties for distance covered), this was only a couple of years ago too.
  7. can't find a link to the video with it in, but I was thinking like really big barrels, cable reel size (assuming the one you talked about was smaller?) I'd love to one day organize a comp with traditional trialsy stuff (rocks, logs, cocncrete etc) then have other things mixed in like a speed trial section, ramps, an uphill section (the further you get up, the fewer points you get like at moto comps), swings, seesaws and stuff like that. Maybe the last section would have you ride through oil soaked mud to make every one brakeless and see how they get on. I'm far far too lazy to ever do that though.
  8. Akkers? But yeah, I think there would have been a bit of an outcry if Kenny started messing with the usual comp layout, resulting in a lot of unhappy riders which would then make Kenny look bad, so I don't think it's much or a surprise there were no swinging tables or rolling barrels to get over. The Itadori comps are where it's at.
  9. true, and I think that's the fault of the way sections are designed, but that's a story for another day.
  10. "best rider" hmmm while I agree he's currently the best at comps, I don't believe current comps really test peoples actual riding ability to the fullest. Gilles is unreal at getting his bike up and over stuff, but I'd say Kenny was a better "rider".
  11. I approve not particually of those forks though

  13. it would be a good buy, but so would an Inspired Fourplay, just depends if you like bigger or smaller bikes
  14. well, there's more choice of rims, tyres, usable stems and bars, the only thing that's in shorter supply are frames.
  15. you ride brakeless I presume? (on the front at least)
  16. that's not true ^ what is true is that most street stems are really, really low. Not ideal when you want a high front end. My 70x35 stem is roughly the same as a 55X0 stem except the obvious height difference.
