    Hook Attempt

get your weight further forwards, you don't need to go any higher (I always aim to get my front wheel just over the top of the wall) This way, all of the upwards momentum from the hop carries on up and on top of the wall. If you your weight is forwards, you hardly have to do anything in the second stage. so yeah, weight further forwards is the key, then you'll be getting manuals out of it.
  2. ultimate arms tend to be quieter because they move less, most vee arms have a little wobble which can make them noisy.
  3. if you are getting a custom frame and don't work out how long your chainstays are with your fave gear ratio then you're doing it very wrong. Once you have your chain tensioned with your ratio and the brake caliper welded on, chain stretch is maybe ~3mm.......3mm doesn't warrant sliding dropouts for most (all?) callipers. Edit, with the angle that callipers are at on the back, moving the wheel backwards doesn't mean you're taking the rotor 3mm down the pads, it's more like your just moving it backwards, so pad contact with the rotor doesn't change all that much.

    Str Crash Video 9

    very entertaining
  5. checked the disc mount for cracks? (or the crown area too). I would also check the wheel bearings and perhaps grease the brake bolts too (assuming this is where the creaking is coming from?) Also worth checking your stem, frame and bars too.
  6. how tight are the spokes? How old are the forks?
  7. I can't really make it any clearer
  8. lets say a certain frame that I may be riding may or may not not have vertical dropouts and a rear disc and I definitely never havn't not had any problems without sliding disc mounts.

  10. you're weird Edit, in the sense that you went and emailed them when you already knew the answer? Everyone said the answer and riders sponsored by Trialtech told you the answer?
  11. I can't imagine something like that would be cheap!!
  12. I only got that as I hate coffee but still want the occasional caffeine hit, so shut your yap! (it does taste like shit though!) I'm far too lazy to go down the whole diet/nutrition route, seems like a lot of effort. I do wish I cared enough to do something about it though, I can imagine the benefits would be pretty good.
  13. Trials like other people has dictated my whole way of life, it's also helped me with confidence.....let me explain. I've mentioned somewhere before that I had quite a tricky childhood and in my teens I was diagnosed with aspergers (a type of Autism). This meant that I couldn't/wouldn't interact with anyone I didn't know, so going to the shops, catching public transport and going to school was so stressful that I outright refused to do it. Since getting into trials, I've become much more outgoing, I needed to overcome my fear of talking to people in order to do what I loved, I would get on trains to go on rides and talk to new people because they shared the same interest. I even caught planes on my own to go to comps in new countries, quite a difference from someone who just a few years earlier wouldn't even catch a bus to the next town! Riding bikes has also decided what cars I've owned and helped me venture out and move away from my parents, all my friends ride bikes and all the jobs I've had have been connected to cycling. so yeah, trials has really changed my life.
  14. I would love to make a pair myself, looks really satisfying
  15. I miss read your post and thought it was about freewheels and jeans. I have no idea how you got in your chainstays? Must be really baggy jeans?
