Looks awesome to me. I had heard of the 24UK, but didnt know anythign about it, so cheers. If it had a higher BB (which no-one else would like except me) of like 55+mm rise, it would probably make me seriously consider converting to 24"

As above, I could never go back to mineral oil, water just feels soo much more direct and controllable. Ive been running it for well over a year now, with no problems other than it freezing once while I was out on an exeptionally cold ride, but it soon thawed off lol. Do ittttt! Save some moolah too, as you will soon get used to bleeding your brakes yourself- it only takes me about 3 minutes now I'm used to it.

Totally agree. I read loads of reviews saying that videora often converts files without working sound (mine didnt even work when I first got it, but then suddenly magically started working a dream), and itunes is slower but more reliable, however I have found it to be the other way round. Now my ipod is packed with all the best trials vids lol

What type of engineering are you going for? Or is it straight "engineering"? Id have thought at a guess Brunell would be the best out of those if you want the best out of your degree, as it will probably be more respected? I may be wrong though. However, Loughborough would probably at a guess have a better social life, though I dont really know much about the place.

ROTFLMFAO. helicopters, spread 'n' spray, etc. This looks like it'll open up a lot of potential comedy.

Good pics dave, Although I perhaps aggree with the comment that it would have looked better mid-move (e.g. fully compressed before a gap/sidehop, perhaps going to backwheel, or in mid-air or something), but it was pretty arty. Whats up with the spelling chumps? Yeah, dave pressed two keys round the wrong way, but its an easy mistake to make, I do it all the time, but I'm not fully illiterate or anything, and you could understand what he was saying! Its not like he said "yer nah bt me m8 dnt thnk ur rite" or anything! Some people go too far/low on this forum in the way of trying to get at eachother.

Yep, that Dan guy's a legend. Downloading now, should be awesome as usual! I realised the other day while looking at some old vids to free up space on my PC- is it just me, or was "nbr5" the best trials video ever? EDIT: Best nbr vid I have seen in a long time IMO! Bringing back the proper nbr style, Jones' gap (between the two benches that Dave Marshall momentum-gapped) was crazily good... Mitch's riding looks great on his new python too. Proper bo

What booster are you using on that bad boy, Mark?

Has everyone found this? I was wondering why everyone has gone off them all of a sudden, strange all the pros said they were amasing when they first came out though..

Im sure you could get a 1060 bike to be 1065, 1070, 1075 or whatever though, depending on your choice of forks.

Plug your ipod into the computer, go into i-tunes and double-click on the icon on the left where a picture of an ipod should come up.When a new window opens up, in the bottom right of the window there is another icon which when you hold the mouse over it should say "display ipod options". Click on this. Then its pretty simple, just go to the "photo" section, and select a folder with the pics in or whatever than you would like the ipod to be synced to. Edit: Nyarrr, beaten to it.

But the winter will be over soon! I bled my brakes with water, and they have lastest throughout the winter outside in the cold fine. They only froze once, and that was when i was actually riding the bike! But even that was only because I went down a hill fast with an icy-cold wind against me.

I wasnt hinting at that, I was just hinting that Im not a "thicko", and Im into the scientific side of engineering, so should be able to understand that a couple of mms in geo difference wouldnt make it ride rediculously different. Why I said that was just because of what has been said in this thread about how its "impossible to make an exact copy", and luke seemed to be hinting that if when the geo of koxx bikes are changed at all in the slightest within the process of another company "copying" them, it will ride much differently (even though many of them are made of the same alloy). Which of course it wont when the differences we speak of could be within the margin of error of the origional company's production line anyway.
-
Well cheers for the insult, but I'm not "thick", especially when it comes to these kind of things as I may be doing a masters degree in mathemetics and engineering. So you think that ANY difference at all from the geometry of koxx' bikes at the drawingboard would make them ride craply in comparaison? As I'm "pretty thick hence why there called changes and are noticable", would you explain to me how much difference there must be in the geometry to make it ride craply? 1mm difference in chainstay length? It's still a difference, but you can make that much difference by accident, just by tightening your rear QR in a slightly different position, or having one extra twist on your chain tensioners on your mod. Just think about things you say for a second- "its impossible to copy a frame"- that itself means that each of koxx frame's themselves are not EXACTLY the same as eachother, there will be minor errors in production which mean some will be 5mm longer than others, have 2mm longer/shorter chainstays, and perhaps a degree difference in headangles between frames MEANT to be the exact same, made by the same people. As for 5mm difference in chainstay length making THAT MUCH of a difference when you are talking a long stock with 380-385mm stays, that is rubbish. The difference it would make to your riding is negligable, you would ride just as well. And now zoo's are apparently made to bad standards of quality?? How many python's/pitbulls have you ever heard of breaking? Compare this figure to the proportion of Koxx XTP's that have broken, or even levelboss', which even one of my lightest trialsing mates managed to break at the chainstays.
-
Totally agree. The millimetres dont make a difference at all, its the centimetres that are noticable. If someone shortened your 385mm chainstays to 380mm somehow while you were asleep, you wouldnt notice any difference when you rode the next day. As for the zona/zoo python thing, the majority of people who have ridden both prefer the zona, as it is a more lively ride. Riding a python for a while IMO is not fun, as the chainstays are longer, making the bike less responsive, and heavier on the arms while on the backwheel, whereas the zona is like a feather on the backwheel- perhaps the tweaks onza made paid off.

How much did it all cost you? Overclocking is cool til ur computer implodes, then its even cooler. But u sound like you know what you are talkign about, so I guess it won't happen?

What are you on about? The pure used to have a seat..

I konw someone who used to have one of those box-section tubed t-pro's in silver and blue which he had profile 3-piece cranks on. I didnt say anything about them, despite thinking they would be damn heavy, but his bike actually rode alright from what I remember

I bought one of these badboys lastnight, so prepare for all of your asses to be whipped (yes, in a sexual manner) within the next month.

I tried deoderant once upon a time, thing is it leaves a residue, and the grease doesnt actually come off, as grease doesnt evapourate, it mearly will settle into the grooves in the grind (which might work temporarily). Thats why sugarsoap owns, cos it leaves no residue
-
If you mean the heatsink one, or the echo ones, then yes, those should be a bit better. However, perhaps you have minute amounts of grease on your rim? Wash your rim thoroughly with sugarsoap, or if you dont have any of that, use washing up liquid, THOROUGHLY, perhaps with an old tooth-brush. If the problem was even un-noticably minute amounts of grease, this could make a hell of a difference
-
Whats with everyone suddenly not liking echo rims? I swear a couple of weeks ago they were "THE" rim of choice on here, what made everyone change their opinions? I still would personally have an echo 06 rim by far over any of the others- wider, stiffer, and good material. Unless I have missed out on some mass recall or something due to them all breaking??
-
What do you want them for out of interest? Building a trials park? That actually has inspired me to possibly invest in some for my trials park when my wrist heals.. hmm. Could have gaps between them, with a breeze-black step up each time, as like pillars to gap between.

Is this about a hope pro 2 against the chris king, or the xc against chris king? As very few people have ridden the new pro 2. If it was between the pro 2 and king, I personally would actually buy the pro 2, as it sounds to me similar to my profile mod hub, which I love. However, between an XC and a king, it would be a hard choice, but I would probably prefer a king. It would be like choosing between a tractor that lasts forever and a supercar that may or may not randomly explode. Id possibly take the risk of possible explosion .

I think its happened to me once or twice, but it's probably just from bad pedal placement/timing with me. Can you try to hook without that foot ending up so far forwards? Or does it feel awkward? Also, when you hook, do you lean into that side at all, e.g. hook a bit lopsided? I think I hook a bit lopsided, but with high BB on a mod with short cranks, I get away with it
