  1. You guys should come try out our secret little place in notts. Got some stuff there that makes stile cop look like a xc track for kiddies.

2 mins with a drill and a hacksaw and you can drill a 4.5mm hole in the j-mount, use a longer m4 bolt and have it helmet mounted with a go pro mount. Means you can use a much sturdier handlebar clamp as well if you fancy some more lively riding at night!
  3. Obviously those cables are attached properly now, was just too excited halfway through building it up so got the cam out. Been out on it once so far, pretty chuffed with it though!
  4. der kaiser, can be had for fairly cheap off ebay, with one seller doing them for £79 a pair brand new including postage. Failing that, der kaiser projekt 2.4
  5. Great job at proving otherwise. In light of how well you put across your reply i'd like to revise my previous comment about people being cautious when trading with this guy. I ACTIVELY DISCOURAGE ANYBODY FROM TRADING WITH THIS GUY!

You know the linkage plates on the swingarm are on upside down, don't you? It won't be by much, but that will affect how the suspension reacts as it has changed the travel path for the swingarm. You may also find it raises the bb up a touch and adds a little more travel. Here's the official kona pic for your model. Its the two brace bars mounted either side of the seattube that connect to the top of the shock. Not trying to be rude, but if it alters the shock path too much you may end up walking it home looking a little more like this!
  7. Just to add, I told you why the topic had been closed before you made this thread. It was mentioned in the closed thread as to why it was closed and now you're asking again. I'd ask anybody who would be thinking of dealing with you to errr on the side of caution. Don't use paypal gift and make sure the delivery is tracked. Shady selling methods and a chilidish temper don't really seem the attributes of someone i'd be sending money to abroad.
  8. Schwalbe table tops sound like they would fit the bill nicely.
  9. I lean towards building most of the furntiture i've had so far. I'm in no way a master craftsman, but thethings i've made have turned out pretty well so far. You also get exactly what you want and it doesnt seem like such a loss to get rid and build something more suited when/if you change accomodation.
  10. Yep those are the main seals, i'd be very suprised if dez is right to be fair (no offence meant, just you listed almost every possible problem) so i'd get a set on order and pick up some fork oil from the local motorbike shop. Its the same as mountain bike stuff, just you get more for cheaper. Unfortunately o-rings can be hard to source as a problem. They can leak if they've just stretched or worn a little bit and determining if they're to blame is usually a case of seeing where the leak is and replacing the ones linked to that area. The other option is to replace every o-ring in the fork at the same time. If the oil is leaking and smeared up the stantions and trickling down the back of the fork leg then i'd be 99% sure a main seal replacement will do the trick. If you want to check the other areas of the fork then you'll need to carefully measure how much oil comes out of each area when dismantling and checking against the service manual oil levels chart.
  11. I'd ignore that rather doom and gloom prognosis, the bushings are there to ensure the fork stanchions dont rock while sliding up and down. If you take them apart and there's no scratches at the bottom of the stanchions then the bushings wont need relacing unless they were rocking before you found they were leaking. Again, if theres no scratches on the fork stantions then you wont need new upper crown, steerer and stanchions. I highly doubt you would do, but it wouldnt hurt to check. A scratch that catches your fingernail could be sanded down to insignificance with 1500 grit wet and dry, slightly bigger ones can be more tricky and require bodging with nail varnish to fill the void. If the seals up top are old then they may cause the forks to leak, or it could be a blown o-ring somewhere. If like you say, the lockout was on, then i'd wager towards an o-ring or main seal. Main seals should be ideally replaced every year, however not many people bother as you can usually get a bit longer out of them. When they stretch or wear they can let quite a lot of oil out.
  12. Ive got that helmet. Its very basic, but i found it fit me better than the next model up. You really should try them out, its not all about head size. I found the jaw pads on the other model gave me jaw ache after a few minutes, where as the jaw padding is wider on this one.
  13. 157x12 sounds a much better system so i reckon that'll take off pretty soon.
  14. Trek session 77 in large. Hope hubs on s-type rims Totem coils Saint gearset Holzfellar cranks (got saint m815's to go on next week) Avid ultimate rear brake with an avid carbon 7 to be fitted when i get new pads Spank saddle Raceface DH bars Rides a f**king treat!
  15. To be fair, thats a terrible article with a lot of huge sweeping generalisations. I don't know whether its the mobile version of the site but it didnt link to the actual research paper either so you only get the reporters opinion on the investigation. The results are also biased in that they dont take into account external stimuli. What if a fat person was thin and lived 20 years longer than the truly obese death age of 35 but got hit by a car and died? MUCH lower nhs costs overall. Yet that doesn't get represented. The problem with the article is that it is almost trying to make a case to justify obesity by comparing it like its an illness, which it isn't. If people could be bothered they would care more for their bodies. You cannot compare peoples own self destruction against illnesses that cannot be helped. They can spend years maintaining equipment or cars but dont take the same care with themselves. It's lazyness that is a byproduct of our societies lack of education on healthy eating and the social idea that people shouldnt have pressure put on them and should be allowed to live how they want. While i'm all for the latter, in moderation, when it negatively affects other people it shouldnt be given the same carefree viewpoint.

    Milk smell

Steam cleaner works a treat if you want the smell gone. Steam it and suck up all the water residue with a capet cleaner then allow it to dry. Unfortunately the smell will linger slightly until its fully dryand will come back faintly any time the carpet is wet again.

    Air forks

Not always of full on riding, but to and from work, into town, off to the jump track, local woodlands twice a week in the evening, downhill park at the weekend and if i'm really on it maybe a downhill track during the week. Usually 20 minimum, yeah.

    Air forks

What rockshox recommend and what is actually neccessary are two very different things though. I'm supposed to change the oil in my forks after every 15 hours of riding. That's 2 oil changes in a week. I did them at some point last June and upon splitting them down again two weeks ago, the oil was still relatively clear and at the correct level.
  19. Half decent android tablet half price in tesco from tomorrow. Was £100 now £49.99. Sony headphones in hmv. Xb400's ithink. Reduced from 60 to 20 and sound decent too.
  20. Well next time you're at the third bus stop (bus station, diner, farm then the stop i'm on about) you open the door in the shed, drop inside and collect the parts for the power switch. When you turn this on it releases a lightning creature thats trapped in the middle of the white room. At some point later in the rounds he comes after you and will attack the bus and generally be a pain. You have to knife or EMP to kill him. Pack a punch is opened by leaving a turbine in the entrance to the power room and then grenading the safe doors at the next stop.
  21. You can also put a turbine up under lamp posts and lure the face huggers in so that you can teleport randomly to different parts of the map. I seem to keep getting people who get left behind by the bus or even choose to stay behind to try and point whore and then quit when they realise its a shit plan. I've manage to last until about round 16 so far when playing with the mrs (i know, but she's better than 90% of online players) and we've gotten far enough as to kill the lightening monster and open up pack a punch in the bank. It'd just be so much easier with some f**king teamework. Having one person with a turret, one with a turbine and one with a trap would be a brilliant strategic advantage, but nobody bothers or seems capable of strategy.
  22. People being shit at tranzit is more than annoying. Has so much potential but gets ruined by idiots.
  23. Overall, i am full of disappoint If you've got a good internet connection you get penalised to the point of having a virtually unplayable game and the zombies levels are tiny by comparison. Looks like it's back to halo 4 for my multiplayer stuff this christmas.
