  1. I tend to forget i'm wearing lenses in fairness. I just go swimming and sometimes open my eyes underwater. Never lost a lens yet or had an infection. Storing my lenses in my mouth for an hour then putting them back in on the other hand....
  2. Deadlifts, squats and wide grip pull ups. Get good at pushups on your recovery days by starting your day with however many you can do and gradually pushing 5 more per week. So your friend got built in size fast or ended up building faster response muscles? Around 6 reps is generally stimulant of muscle fibers that can, to some degree, change in characteristic regarding speed or strength.

He's right, you're wrong. More reserved energy would increase stamina and your maximum amount of reps, being stronger would increase your maximum amount of weight for one rep.
  4. Swithland is a local place we go to for a bit of a chill out but we tend to go to cannock chase DH course quite a bit too. We're doing one of the two on sunday if you fancy it?
  5. I'm gonna go all wizard of oz and say there's no place like 127.0.0.1
  6. He already does, the inhalation was the asbestos.
  7. I have indeed yeah, the doctor and patient one is amazing! I wouldn't worry too much about the asbestos. I've been down there too and it was ages ago and i'm as normal as it's possible for me to be.
  8. Haha, dust... you mean blue asbestos We went there doing some photography for an art project and the site surveyors turned up. They found some kids in the underground tunnel and shipped them off to hospital because of the asbestos We also had a great time scaring groups of people from up on the roof. Its amazing the reaction you can get from people with a well placed pebble causing a "rustle" in nearby bushes. That last room has a crazy strong mood to it. Loved it.
  9. It's also sometimes easier to try getting it removed on a technicality. Mentioning any dispute process in the feedback, Deformation of character etc. If someone said the seller is dishonest or lied it'll be removed without too much resistance from the ebay team.
  10. Seriously, if you're going to spout unfounded bollocks at people whilst claiming it to be the final word in the matter don't be so surprised when people call you out on it and for the love of god stop over-reacting to people in the way that you are doing. You like your frame, that's great. Other people don't and so you go throw a tantrum. Either chill out or wind up with a ban, your call. Watched blade trinity the other night by any chance?
  11. Hmmmm, i seem to remember you sleeping on the floor while this was going on It's been repainted again today. It's now a healthy colour of brown
  12. Why does nobody ever think of going to chainreactioncycles for a chain? Free postage, usually arrives within 24-48 hours and prices that beat nearly every other online shop. If you want the standard trials rider favourite then have a look at this... http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/chains/kmc_z610_hx_332_inch/c7p11539.html http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=25433
  13. You tried the mint chocolate one? I think it's the nicest flavour i've tried so far and seems to be the one i repeatedly buy.
  14. When you pressurize helium it becomes colder, incredibly so (opening a gas valve to full will freeze the pvc piping attached to the end and the nozzle will ice over). Helium loses bouancy when cool and as such you have both dense helium and cold factoring into it's lack of bouancy. For point of reference, 2 50L canisters compressed to 200bar each will weigh approximately 65-70kg per cannister. When uncompressed and put into a balloon the helium will have enough lift to gently pull both cannisters around (in normal operating conditions of 10+degrees C and light winds) and will almost lift a single cannister off the floor. In dubai i nearly got lifted off a building while trying to secure a balloon with nearly 3 cannisters inside. In reference to the original question yes it will make it lighter, although only marginaly.

If you're not after a dedicated DH bike then i would go for the orange. The big hit is quite the downhill machine and the other is incomplete and has fairly crappy/mismatched forks on. The orange should be a fun ride and looks to be great value for the price. I'd be hitting him up with a message ASAP as i'd imagine we're not the only ones looking at it.

http://www.orangebikes.co.uk/bikes/five_s/ 140mm = more than 5" effective travel is reported to be 5.5-6". Ash, i'd say go for something around 6-7" something like a meta 5, patriot, stinky (capable but not pretty), norco shore, trek session 77, big hit etc. In fact, this one looks quite tidy for a decent price. http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/994942/ EDIT: Didn't notice toms post about the orange 5 travel.
  17. I got a flame angel for christmas and it came with a free helping of whitespot. Yay! Got Gears 3, Asscreed revelations, skyrim and uncharted 3. Gonna be a social recluse for the next 3 months! Got some nice clothes, some smellies, the mandatory stack of sweets/chocolates Oh, and an afro man washing up sponge. Win!
  18. If you're tall and have a wide shoulder span. Plus if you're after 31" or 32" you can just cut these down. To be fair, even at 36" it's only 3" extra per end. Obviously you've a narrow margin at riding through tight sections with trees but if you find it comfier to ride it'll probably negate that. Who cares though, if you don't like them don't buy them. I'd rather have too wide and chop than not wide enough.
  19. Oh it does, i have some sunlight shots that i'll stick up tomorrow. It looks somewhat toned down indoors, in sunlight it gets magnified by at least 40% more awesome.
  20. and yes, an accurate assumption. Well i guess he should be reassured if both of us are saying the same thing.
  21. Hmmmm I'd be more inclined to say that the OP should work on getting his strength up with heavy/low, using trials as basic plyo as he's doing it. Once he's reached a substantial strength increase (in the legs primarily) maybe look at moving onto weighted plyo. Cheers for the other information, it's nice to see a well constructed reply with supporting evidence, although i did know that already.
