  1. Please try to stop posting such utter tripe.
  2. There are actually useful things in there that aren't kept in the main forum. The other things happen with different groups in the main forum too, it's not isolated specifically to senior members.
  3. There's only like 3 people who are frequent SM's that don't ride. Problem is, we don't organise events in SM chat. It's all done in the news and trials chat forums for everyone to see. SM's help out purely on the forum.
  4. I tried helping out in a street fight a year ago, guy and his girlfriend walking home from a night out early hours of the morning get shouted at by a group of youths and the guy shouts back. Things escalated and i ran over to help. I ended up with a mallet finger injury and a bit of a talking to by the police but i'm happier i have that than having walked away. Also a few weeks ago saw some mid-late 50's man on the train chatting away one minute then slumped over the next. I got up and checked if he was okay, which he was, just a tad drunk. Was quite awkward trying to explain i was just making sure he was okay without insinuating he looked like he would fall dead at any minute. He seemed grateful for the concern though. That said i have been in a situation years ago where something was happening and you sort of look at everyone else to see if you should all intervene and nobody moves, it's like you know you should do something but for some reason you just don't. It's stupid. I really get overwhelmed with regret afterwards so try and avoid just standing there now.
  5. I didn't mean anything by it, they genuinely looked good, the tensioning system seemed to work and they were sturdy. I didn't realise your hub wasn't standard.
  6. I nipped down to buthiers the other day for a quick session and it was immense. Count me in for any future trips that get planned there.
  7. Yeah they were great, aside from the fact that we had to pry yours apart on several occasions to get the wheel out because the shape distorted too much during normal use.
  8. He's on the opposite side of the wheel to the disc rotor?!?
  9. I genuinely have no idea what it is. The surfaces rounding slightly might be it, but the bolts on mine at least are done up ridiculously tight. Maybe the bolt /hreads distort slightly? New bolts might be an idea to try.
  10. A road bike is an extreme example, i'm sure tunni could get on 95% of bikes and sidehop it pretty damn high.
  11. Hope, do it! Best decision ever. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=156532 Fairly new, 200mm, good condition. Decent'ish price.

  13. Sloppy editing skills there dude
  14. I use a canon Pixma series (think it's pixma anyway). Always been effortless printing, the canon cartridges aren't the cheapest but they print just as well as the local development company and everytime a new cartidge is inserted it calibrates itself so i don't have to mess about with the silly coloured squares on a sheet game. Prints onto cd's too which is a bonus, has seperate trays for normal paper and 6x4's and i can usb my DSLR straight into it and print without a pc.
  15. It's not solid metal though, it's two pieces of solid metal bolted together along one side only.
  16. The 'new' black bb7's are a two piece design that's literally bolted up. The caliper itself becomes more flexible over time and you can visibly see the calliper expanding when you pull the brake. Changing the cable helps reduce the mushiness but the caliper will still expand a tremendous amount. Mine was like that and then i went to a hope. A decision i should have made a long time ago.
  17. Cheers josh. I would use spacers on the axle but there was another thread with someone doing that and everyone said the spacer killed the axle as it put the crank on a weak point. May have to drop round with it and let you take a look in person, if thats alright with you. Sorry inur, i thought your idea was to put a spacer over the bb body then slide the bearing cup on again to space the bottom bracket further over to the non driveside?
  18. My wheel is dished a little bit biased towards the non drive side anyway, got 3mm clearance with the tyre non drive side and around 6/8mm drive side. Crank is only just catching at the minute and once fully worn in/seated to my axle the crank will have moved over another 2mm. It works but there is an obvious difference when looking at it. Unfortunately i can't fit a spacer to the bb as it's fitted drive side first and the outer lip of the bb cup is flush with the frame. Non driveside cup is inside the bb shell by about 3mm. No idea about lathing some spacers for the driveside bb cup though, might be an idea.
  19. Just bought myself a new bottom bracket though like a dipstick i didn't check my bb shell length before buying it and just presumed it was 68mm. Turns out it's 73mm. Bought the Reset titanium bb and obviously the axle is centred too far over the drive side and given the super low standover of the limey 2 stock frame my non driveside is bashing on my magura slave. Is there anything i can do or a different bb i should get? I looks at the trialtech one last night but that appears to be the same cup design and i was unsure of the "designed for 68mm but can be used with 73mm shells" thing.
  20. i was the same with the limey, you do get used to it though.
  21. Rider for sure. Plenty of people have done some pretty impressive stuff on completely non-trials bikes. Although obivously a trials specific bike would help, it definately doesn't have to be the latest part with ti/carbon everywhere.
  22. In that first clip of the frame on the ground you've got the shutter speed far too slow, which is what is giving that rolling shutter effect. Try keeping the camera on a higher shutter speed or if thats not manually selectable, 'sports' mode or an equivalent should be there. I use adobe premiere for my HD editing, which is somewhat force of habit really. Sony vegas is supposed to be good software too, although admittedly i haven't used it first hand.
  23. That looks very smart mate. I'm really very impressed by the headtube, looks fantastically original. Can't wait to see it in the flesh. Just curious by the way, are you aiming for a specific weight once its finished? Seems like a fairly unique competition styled bike so was wondering if you were factoring the same competition style weight into it?
