  1. Yeah, same. Only mine lasted 42 times longer.
  2. Ha ha, erm? Not much lighting? What you been smoking.
  3. My last 2 pairs of skate shoes were £45-50 and they lasted 7-8 years. Vans. How the f**k can you even wear shoes out in 2 months? Mine have never even bedded in properly by that time.
  4. I've seen them at notts and wembley. They ALWAYS put on a good show, amazing visuals, amazing live playing, amazing entrances to the stage. Thoroughly entertaining. In notts they started off with some big orb on stage, loads of lights and then drums started off a little in the background, gradually getting louder and louder. Everyones like "WTF, where is the drummer?", then loads of smoke and this huge orb of lights and awesomeness splits in half and rises up and the freaking drummer is inside! Wembley had an intro theme and everyone watching the stage but then behind there's this huge shower of silver foil bits and smoke and like firework things and out come muse, melodramatic as f**k, really playing up the drama card as they saunter down a walkway through the middle of the crowd. EPIC.
  5. He was a bit sketchy, although maybe it was nerves rather than his riding ability? I've not seen any other videos of himto have anything as a reference point really. But i know that when i get people watching me my balance goes a little out the window, where as normally i'm pretty good.
  6. Nice to see a fellow tall rider. Looking beasty.
  7. Thats not really though is it? All this machine testing and they don't have a rotary system to spin the disc within caliper and measure the stopping power given a specific force applied at the lever.
  8. It's a type of plastic, i'm pretty certain of it. And unfortunately that video showed nothing of the brakes performance, which is the most important factor. There is something about using plastic on my bike that doesn't really seem appealing in the slightest.
  9. We didn't go to many though by the sounds of it, to be fair it was dark and we were limited to places with lights.
  10. I thought that he has come a long way, but by comparison to other trials displays it's not really the highest level of performance there is. But then i am watching with tainted eyes as i've seen how extremely well balanced and how big some people can go when riding. I think as a person he is remarkably likeable as well, and as far as an overall show/person I can see why he's getting so far. It's certainly not solely on the riding.
  11. I liked it, very nice style, lovely bike, good locations. Win.

    Films!?

I thought it was quite funny, but then i was pretty much target audience for all the geeky jokes. I think it worked so long as you went in knowing it was going to be a load of different comedic sketches shoved into a film length with an overall generic love triangle plot with a plausibly over abundance of visual and audio 'cartoon-style' effects. If you weren't expecting that i can understand why you'd be a bit underwhelmed.
  14. It's actually pretty good for me. I hated seeing the drivvle people post up about.
  15. Taking the role of devils advocate here, but where do you think holes in the headtubes actually came from? Someone got a bike, cut a hole in it a few years ago and people followed suit. Myself included. Now bikes are readily available with holes in the front from a variety of companies. It's just simple progression and the good thing about progression is it's open for everyone to try. To be fair if i were a manufacturer i wouldn't mind someone doing R&D for me completely free. Especially if it does fail and the guy is nice enough to send pictures or even the frame off to them. That's testing for new design ideas they've had to put no effort into. I quite like it, but i think the main reason it works is aesthetically. You can tell effort has been put into getting it looking like that, not just using an 8mm bit anywhere you can.
  16. Yep, sure have. It helped a bit next time i got on the bike but i soon realised I still had miles to go (or even metres in my case). Think i've had it about 3 times now. Weird fact: first one i had was before i could even do them, yet the feeling in the dream was bang on how it feels in real life.
  17. Thats the only issue i've seen so far, not really knowing which video it is. Although it is supposed to be random so maybe that's the point?
  18. Rough edges are good as they give better grip and uneven ones are usually still flat enough for the tyre to fold over and make it a non issue. Even on rocks most imperfections and dimples and be rolled over happily.
  19. I like the random video section at the top of the main forum page.
  20. Ah i overlooked this comment the other night. I tend to run my tyres really flat, no idea why really. But in all the clips i've watched i rim out before taking off.
