Ah fantastic. My monty's are pretty much the same shape but they make funny noises and are quite short so the Viz ones look ideal.

I've heard that paint can affect the strength of the plastic outer shell, although i've no idea how true that actually is. I sprayed my white helmet black with a light coat of plasticoat stuff from wilkinsons and it's been fine for the past 2-3 years. If you do 1-2 light coats it shouldn't pose a problem though be careful with the polystyrene as some paints and glues will cause the polystyrene to melt away as if you've just dropped the green blood from the aliens films on it.

Yeah, you would have to disregard the items that introduce too much in the way of variables and limit it to like front brake, back brake, rims, etc. The only truely accurate representation would be sales figures, public polls nearly always introduce slight innaccuracies due to variables.

It's pretty bad. It's basically just 'None, a few, a lot or all'. Then with percentages and numbers applied to those kind of non-numerical findings.

Great, but you can only survey the uk market via sales figures or questioning people about their bikes. 3-4 isn't quite a few, i'ts less than 20% of the bike. It's a forum. Deal with it.

I think the obvious choice is to post up the harrassing emails for us to be nosy with and laugh at. Then just go to the local police station with your phone showing all the calls and texts and print out the emails and they'll sort it for you. They get paid to do this.

I would like to say i was in a bit of a bad mood anyway that day for other reasons and not managing that gap after coming so close a few days before was the icing on the cake really. Unfortunately the bike got the full brunt of it and i'm not especially pleased or proud of what i've done. Though in retrospect it is rather funny to watch back. Didn't really expect them to be put on the forum either so a big thanks to boumsong for that one. Cheers pal I am really trying to work on my technique at the minute. My previous 5-6 years have set in some really bad habits and i'm finding it quite hard to adjust them. I am working on improving the preload but it feels so unnatural to squat that far down.

I'm not so sure on that at all, in fact i think it's probably the opposite. When i first started all the videos were either a couple of clips thrown together or some shakey, super fisheyed monstrosity with heavy screamo music and a load of windows movie maker, luminous scrolling font titles shoved in. Now we have far better quality, far more creative works coming out. Camera equipment is much better (some of the latest TRA and tarty vids with the narrow focus SLR usage) better understanding of angles and more considerate selection of songs. Not to mention riding ability in general being of a higher standard. TRA has some very well presented videos, with exceptional riding and a very unique riding style. The recent "wherestheseat" videos i've really enjoyed watching. The tarty videos (i think it was slingers fairly recent video done by mark or adam, though i'm not 100% on that) are looking lovely. And now HD cameras are filtering down into the mainstream so the standard for film quality has just taken another step up in our online contributions. The video that came out in the past couple of days of the chap riding through the mining museum had a very distinctive atmosphere. I'm not trying to say that there were never any good videos as there are obviously classics like do the goon that i watched over and over. But i think there are some really talented and creative pieces being pushed out at the minute and i think that this standard of video will only improve. It's basic survival of the fittest at the end of the day. The crap ones wil get swtched off half way through and so people either wont make them or improve their output to keep up with the gems.

It's a type of plastic based poly-product at least. That much is certain from the weight drop video and the way the material twanged back and forth like an elastic band. Not especially, i like metal over plastic any day, regardless of who made it.

Whats wrong with black leather shoes on a night out? Bear in mind i don't get a huge choice of styles given i'm a uk 15 so don't have the latest coolest trainers or £150 pair of G-star rubbish readily available in my size.

No, most places won't do skate shoes so i have a pair of smart black ones purely for a night out. If by always banging on you mean a few posts a year ago, whilst being in (and still) an 18 month long relationship then... yeah? Actually though, tell a lie. I did have a pair of walking boot things for a bit during winter the year before last. They've not been dragged out the closet since though.
