  1. Its meant to be, mine is too. I think its the router not the laptop hence it being the access point... i dunno though, i might be talking rubbish :$ Works like that for me though.
  2. Have you tried allowing the compputer access to the network wirelessly... or even had a look through these settings? Type in http://192.168.01 and if the pc can connect to this its not a signal problem between the pc and the router. I'm pretty sure with my wireless kit, coincidentally the same set your using, i had to connect my desktop using the cable then when i wanted the laptop on i had to make it try to find the network and it appeared in the list of available devices, then i had to put it in the allow access list. Or you could just try changing the channel in the same set of settings. You will definately need the netgear wireless configuration utility software as it makes it a heap loads easier. Also noticed in your original picture of the netgear config utlilty you had it looking for a network called wireless... set it to "any (first available network)" If this doesn't seem to help add me to msn so i can send you print screens of what i mean EDIT: You can also try going to the network connections window and right clicking on your wireless connection, click properties, click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) option in that little list, then click properties... make sure the "obtain ip adresses automatically" tickbox IS checked. Also on a sidenote the choose wireless connection thing built into windows that you are trying to use in the post above doesn't register any networks on mine either (and i'm using my wireless laptop to write this now )so i'm guessing its just something to do with the netgear set ups.

  4. Nah, mines a 32 hole on a 32 hole hub.... unlucky on yours though Did you even read it? Yours isn't even really a flat spot, i have gotten flatspots that size out of a rim before.. they're so small even you could do it, check out the sheldon brown website mate
  5. I don't think we'll be seeing any more posts about future products again He comes on, tells us about some new trials components and what does everyone do? Go off and talk about how to pronounce another company name On a side note, i know that GU, CZAR, ECHO, ADAMENT etc are really made by the same people but are just effectively different lines of products.... but who makes zona? Is it just coincidental that zona re-arranges into onza or are zona and onza really the same company?

According to the terms and conditions of the vista download "the term of this agreement is until 31/08/06 or commercial release of the software, whichever is first." EDIT: My bad, that appears to be the terms for the upgrade advisor thing, this is what it sayd about the vista beta 2 software "Time-limited software Windows Vista Beta 2 (and RC1) is time-limited, pre-release software that will expire on June 1, 2007."

  8. I'm pretty sure if you saw the state of my ronnie you'd see yours is still fine. Hell mines fine at the minute... it'll last me a little while yet 4 cracks, 12 dents, 2 3 inch long dents, one flatspot, one sticking out piece of rim surface where it snapped
  9. Had a gif title, and jpeg pictures. I think i was also slightly drunk at the time... well i say slightly

  11. That new windows defender is actually pretty good, picked up a couple that a combination of adaware, spybot search and destroy, spywaredoctor and my norton utlities all failed to find. Its a free download off the microsoft site, the only requirements for it are that you have windows xp and service pack 2. If you've got that it'll work. I might be nice and find you a link in a minute EDIT: Click here!
  12. Christopher Raymond Jacques. French surname, dunno how to pronounce it properly really, i just say jakes but i'd imagine it should be said like jshacks.
  13. Pretty much. As to the split... i dont think it will last long after being welded, although i've never tried and never heard of anyone welding their rim i could only imagine that it would be the same as with frames in that fter welding the area thats been heated is weaker so i wouldn't be suprised if the rim was to crack in the areas around the weld after having it fixed. The only thing i could suggest really is to buy a new rim. Maybe someone who knows more can help you out a bit better.
  14. Plazmatic's and a koxx rim will fit... i was thinking of getting a koxx rim before my ronnie so i tried it out with a block of wood that was 50mm wide to be on the safe side and i had enough room to set my brake up properly.
  15. Stick a fork in me lads... i'm done
  16. Not mine but my best mates... i'm like a friend of the band though, in fact i was getting very pissed with them last night digital-garden.co.uk
  17. I can record it to vhs if you want dude... not sure if its legal or whether jonny would mind but i can do it. My tv downstairs is widescreen and the tv in my room is 4:3 however i prefer watching films in a widescreen format so its the only way jonny.
  18. Well i haven't made a decent thread for a while now and it just hit me a few minutes ago after watching some beginner riders videos and then comparing them to the likes of TRA or really anyone who can ride their bike to a very high level. The main thing i noticed is the flow of the riders body. When riders first start doing trials they seem to be very tense and unrelaxed and seem to struggle with doing moves competantly and successfully. However, with a more experienced rider the body has a lot more flow to it and the rider seems to be much more relaxed on the bike... which ultimately ends up in bigger and smoother riding. I initially figured this would be down to unfamiliarity with the moves and the riders body lacking the required muscle structure for a comptetant riding ability but i started to wonder whether there was any link to psychological influences too. When first starting out most riders are unsure of what they're able to do and will be nervous about trying things, i guess this shows in their riding partially... helping them look more tense and rigid. But after a while the confidence grows and the rider seems to be able to ride more confidently, resulting in a more relaxed posture and movement What i was wondering is exactly how this change from tense to smooth happens and if there is a way to understand why it happens so as to help people improve their riding ability more easily. I figured it would help a lot of newer riders improve if they we all new for definate exactly what contributes to becoming a better rider. And if theres anything else that i might not have thought of then let us know... it could help people more than your know.
  19. I also agree with what the majority of people are saying on here and that you should try going bigger. I've also been riding about 18 months ish and i can gap 7'2" consistently and on a good day i can do more. I also agree with what someone said about your attitude, theres somone on this forum who can quite easily gap 9 feet and he makes it looks easy so just becaus eyou can't do it doesn't mean other people are lying when they tell you they can. I also think you should try something a bit more lively than just putting your front wheel on then jumping and placing the back wheel to get up things too, its a bit boring and looks a tad wimpy... you might want to look at bunnyhops or doing some hops to front wheels to get up things to stcik a bit of variation in the video. Also something fun wouldn't go a-miss... like some spinning type moves, or something original rather than just getting up something and then gapping. You did seem to have the right techniwue sorted for your gaps though so thats alright... you do just need to go into a not giving a s**t mode and try something that seems far too big though... you'll suprise yourself at the fact your not far off making it and this will motivate you to become a better rider. Besides, at the height of those walls your not likely to hurt yourself in the slightest so theres no need to worry about your hips, you're not elderly yet As to the video itself, i can see that this was likely to be your first video and we all make mistakes to learn from, we just need someone to help us out and show us what they are. I think a big hint is that you shouldn't repeat a clip so many times... i get that the gap might have been challenging and it was good when you managed it but repeating it 8 times was a big no no. Videos are meant to be entertaining and seeing someone fail so many times isn't entertaining unless they look as though they suffer whilst they fall... though this is usually saved for bails videos. You seemed to get decent angles to show off the gaps and to make it more interesting but maybe try using a tripod as well, this way you can experiment with blurs and fades with the same angle to add a slightly more proffesional hint to the video. But it wasn't too bad a first video, i've seen much worse.
  20. Ha ha... tis not that bad mate, try managing to dent your frame with your knee doing a static 180 off a wall (i forgot to jump so i just span my legs into the frame ) that hurt a little bit... got a fat purple bruise too..... it was great!
