Okay, most of the replies have been about the clips being old, i never did say it was a new video but apparantly the title wasn't clear enough so its been corrected. I just thought there would be some people who would appreciate and enjoy watching this video, and who might have missed it when it came free with MBUK at some point last year. Its still a good video and is a little bit different to the majority of videos that people make now that feature nothing more than taps, sidehops and drop gaps. In my opinion this video has originality, variety and still impresses me more than a lot of these newer videos that are coming out.

Its most likely black tape, i have it on my stem too to hide the fact its an upside down guess stem :$ . It came like that when i bought it and i had no need to change it. The bike does look nice but i'm not keen on it still. Some well placed silver components would suit it much better than having pretty much everything black.

Here we go, the 2005 MBUK free DVD edit of danny holroyd. This is what i would call a varied and interesting video with some good editing work, camera angles and some great atmosphere with the use of the sepia video filter. The riding is of the streety perswasion and has a lot of dannys older clips that will most likely have been seen before. The reason i have posted it is because i feel its the best edit of this footage and one that fully captures the flair of Danny's riding, something i thought you guys would enjoy. Hope you all enjoy it as much as i did. Link to Trials Shack New Link location (left click)

My dads mac is a pain in the arse. I don't see why people think its acceptable for the damn thing to stop responding whenever it feels like it just because it looks pretty. I freely admit that my pc has it downsides, it sometimes does random things and has now stopped responding twice in the 15 months i've had it. But the mac.... It hates everything you try and do with it. It doesn't like itunes, it freezes if you minimise all the open windows, it has that stupid swirly colour wheel come on if it thinks about something then the damn thing never goes away... rendering the thing useless till it sorts itself out after 10 minutes of apparantly doing nothing. The object dock thing is useless, it pops up when the mouse pointer gets to within about an inch of the bottom of the screen so using scrollbars on other programs is practically impossible and if i think about turning it off i can never for the life of me remember where the programs are, i have to find the right bit of the right hard drive before i can even find out the file has become corrupt and no longer works. The keyboard is useless, though not a problem with the machine itself... just very hard to see what letter your typing in low light levels because some idiot thought they'd have black keys and tiny white letters. And the whole 1 button mouse lets minimise its versatility and not have several buttons on there despite people having 5 moveable objects on their hand that could quite capably press a button without falling off I do however like the pulsing white light on the front of the case when its in stand by mode. And as for people saying they're better for doing things in photoshop and video editing. How the f**k do you decide that? My pc totally pawns my dads mac for speed and my pc is hardly cutting edge. It applies filters to images in photoshop faster, encodes the same song into mp3 format using itunes faster than the mac (when the mac finally lets me use itunes) and it plays games as well... something the mac can't even manage with something like the original aliens vs predator game that came out god knows when. Bit of a ramble i know but i think the whole mac idea is a big load of hype.

When you save the movie file choose some custom settings and change the resolution down from what i would guess to be 720x576 to something like 320x240. Or change the pre-made settings option to "High Quality Video (Small)" That should do it.

Hi From A Trials Widow

www.trialsqueens.com Welcome to the forum as well. Search for Nadine Staniforth she'll help you out with getting in contact with other girl riders . They soooo do. -
Open the hatch slide the old ram out, slide the new one in. Turn it on. You might want to consider building up your own, but having said that if you don't seem to know much about computers it might be a bit much for you. Have a look on www.overclockers.co.uk they sell lots of individual components as well as full systems and i think they can build a system up for you as well. *As for a spec, for £500 you'd want to be looking at a dual core processor (it allows you to multi taks more efficiently, so copying a dvd won't slow down your computer for watching a movie at the same time) *A minimum of 1GB ram, 1GB should be plenty but if you find a pc with say 2GB then thats even better. *You'd want a decent amount of storage, say 250GB. *DVD Re-Writer *Average graphics card, 6600 or something will be more than ample for general pc use and video/picture editing.

MAXI READ THIS THREAD FOR THE LOVE OF THE CHILDREN

I thought it was to help the moderators out by reporting something that shouldn't be on here so that they don't have to do all the work themselves, or have i got it wrong? -
Sorry about going OT but i just had to ask this. Are you actually under the vain beleif that you manage to outspell spell checkers? Bit more on topic, drilling holes in your rim was supposed to be to make the bike lighter, but i think after a while it became more of a fashion thing. I know i bought my drilled ronnies based on the fact that they look unusual compared to standard bikes. The drilling does save a bit of weight though, a drilled 36h ronnie is 769g where as an undrilled ronnie, again 36h, is 867g. Thats 98g saved which, for comparison is only 14g off a non disc echo front hub .

Maybe he's just easily offended. What are the reply's? Go on, you know you want to post them up . -
Tell them that it worked, then doesn't anymore. Theres no point you saying it didn't work at all so they give you a new one and it happens again. Its a waste of time and effort for both you and the company, but if you say it worked then stopped working they'll more than likley be able to help you out with finding the cause of the problem.

I didn't really like the way jonny's rode. It was better after i put a new pair of bars and a longer stem on it... (Hint Hint jonny, i want them back now ) but it still was a bit of a heffer and felt quite sluggish to ride.

Hell yeah, only i'll put my dogs shit in there. No traceable DNA Plus its shit is 100x worse than my own.

Mine does the opposite, Its on a lot same as yours but when i do eventually turn it off, it comes straight back on. Or, like the other night, i switched it off and the bugger waited till i'd put the chair away, walked across the room, climbed into bed, and just had the nice feeling of all my muscles relaxing before... you guessed it.. The fans whirred up and the blue lights came flashing on filling my previously dark room with a sea of moving blue light. If i'd have had enough time to doze off i would have probably shat my pants thinking aliens were trying to anal probe me. Be thankful yours doesn't work at all, it could be worse. You could have mine

My Sony Hard disk player had a brief session of doing this. Whenever i plugged it in it says an error has occurred and that this device might not function properly... well that was a f**king understatement, it did nothing apart from flash system error on the screen of the player. I thought i'd broken it and would have to reformat it but then i remembered what i do to it every other time i get a system error on the damn thing. And please note that i've now had 4 different system errors on muliple occasions that are supposed to be so severe the unit needs sending off by your average joe for sony to fix it and bill you. (A) It involves turning it off. Smacking the back of the damn thing really hard several times. Disconnecting the battery completely and smacking it some more . Reconnect the battery, turn it on plug it in . "New hardware device found, ATRAC Device found, Your hardware is now ready to use"

The echo bash and an eno is a bit of a weird fit, its sticks out past the crank arm threads by miles. So much that we had to grind part of the crank arm off the fit it on jonny's 127mm bottom bracket axle without it hitting the bottom bracket cup. They seem strong though so thats good. If they're cheap get them, you can always sell them on or upgrade later if you don't like them.

Nah, he wants it as a stencil. So its gotta be like this. [attachmentid=5986] This can be done to pretty much any picture you want using photoshop. It literally takes like 10 seconds as well, so its not hard.

But you don't need to pump it up, ride it for 5 minutes then let some out, then ride it for 5 minutes etc. You can just start with a fixed amount, with the average pressure being 20-30psi pumping it to around 25psi will be fine and then either putting some in or taking some out as required will do the job fine and will most likely be a hell of a lot quicker. But we covered how to do that between posts 2 and 4 of this topic so i won't repeat whats already been posted.
-
I think you'll find most of what you just said has already been said. Apart from that rubbish about riding round for 5 minutes then letting some air out.

Yeah this guy has the weakest ankles i've ever seen, if his ankle has so much as a fly land on it he can't walk for a week. Slight exageration... but not too much I'm lucky, i never really get hurt when i fall off.

You need a bit more spring tension at the canti's because a rear vee brake has to pull more cable that a front one, so set the tension to about 40% more than the front and it should pull about the same. Someone might have another idea though.
-
Take your time a bit, you seem as though you rush into doing everything. Just do a bit of it, then pause for a second then do the next bit... it'll make you look more controlled. I also reckon you could get an extra foot at least on your rolling gaps if you'd only pull the bars into your hips more in mid air, this way you would gain more distance by being able to stretch the bike out further. Just try bigger things really, it also looks like your brake was slipping a bit in a couple of the clips so maybe try some better pads or a grind.

Danny holroyd used to run halo rims i think.

To Blowtorch, Or Not To Blowtorch..that Is The Question
Krisboats replied to Shez.sheridan's topic in Trials Chat
Oh i just forgot to mention what my mate jay did to get his old rotor off. He got an angle grinder and very carefully ground off the heads of each and every bolt on his rotor... only skimmed the rotor once so if you were careful you could easily do it without marking your rotor. Once the bolt heads were all off he lifted the rotor off and got some mole grips onto the little bits of bolt that were lift still sticking up... and they came out so easily. The heat from angle grinding them had loosened them up and a couple were easily taken out by hand without the need for mole grips. -
That was worth writing, helped loads If your heavy then stick a higher pressure in, or even if you just land hard. If your light/smooth then you could run less pressure and have more bounce. The average pressure is between 20-30psi, though some people run more and some less... its personal preference really. Streety riders tend to have higher pressures to improve rolling and to make spins a bit easier where as natural riders tend to have lower pressures for more bounce and grip. Try it with 25psi and if it feels too hard let some air out and vica versa.
