Sorry dude, yeah they crack after a while. get a block of wood... 50mm wide for good measure and stick it in between your brake pads... if you can set the brake up properly you'll know for sure. It'll remove the variable of people setting their brake up differently or using different pads etc.

Those are the two right there... you dont get hurt as much if you just go limp and let it flow and your already so psyched that you don't care.

Just Got Into A Little Brawl With Some Bmx'ers
Krisboats replied to ashby-trials's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I'm suprised they didn't do anything to you guys really. Its a pretty shit thing to do especially if you knew it had only just been built. It takes a lot of hard work to build a jump and then you need to ride it for a bit to get a feel for how the transition is and everything and then you need to make alterations to it accordingly. You can't just turn up the day after and start altering it... sounds like you and your mates didn't have a clue about jumps in the slightest. And you're gonna go sort them out? I think you should sort yourself out... you wreck something they will have worked hard on and would be proud of and they have the decency not to batter you and your wanting to beat them up? I think jay was right, you should spend your time in school learning how to write properly instead of coming on here trying to show how hard you are... its pointless. -
Happy birthday dude

I like it, it looks different and quite fun. I did wonder how long it was going to be before trials frames were just a single tube shape with a little bit for a bottom bracket. I wonder if the chain will suffer any damage from failed sidehops now the chainstay is gone

Why? EDIT: in the interest of not clogging the thread... i'm editing this post. I've never had a chain go rusty and snap because there was no grease on the sides of it... you get a cloth soaked in wd40, wipe all the grease off the chain to make it shiny, then turn the pedals backwards at the same time as dripping some oil onto the chains rollers... keep pedalling back for a bit to let it work in, then wipe the excess of with a dry cloth. Now you have a nuice shiny chain that won't get dust and crap stuck to it, never mind getting that overly helpful application of grease wiped all over you trouser leg Oooh yeah, i found some of laminated ohp paper stuff so the stickers are a go... just catch me on msn to send me some close up and decent quality pictures of yopur zoo stickers and i'll make em gold for you

Though theres a good sentence structure present, there was absolutely no use of a capital letter in that review... and that means it was grammatically incorrect. A little bit picky i know but it without them you might as well not bother with full stops either. Other than that though the review was alright mate, i'm glad your getting along with it

I've Been Asked To Design Some Products For Dainese
Krisboats replied to Shez.sheridan's topic in Trials Chat
I too dont think back protection is going to be a needed thing in trials. I only ever fallen on my back like twice and it was never enough to need protection for. In downhill its kind of needed as you're travelling at speed over rocks and through trees so if you fell, at speed, you would be more likely to do a serious injury than the unocasional trials rider who falls off at little more than walking pace and can't be arsed to put their hand down first to stop the fall. The shin protection would be something to look into, though i personally dont have a problem with my 661 veggie wraps. They're comfortable lightweight and protect my leg well... front and back I think the flexible padded shorts will be the biggest seller for trials as lots of people manage to bash their thighs/balls on the stem and it hurts a fair amount... especially when falling off the bike and landing on the frame with one leg dangling over each side of the bike, thats a real nutbreaker. I think the priority of protection for trials is something along the lines of: HelmetShin padsAnkle supportGloves (though a large part of this is usually for better grips of the bars rather than protection)Padded shortsBack protectionElbow pads -
Never have i bothered with anything like that, and like tomm said... you most likely never will have to.

I had a go on the machine that you sit in and put your feet against a giant metal plate in front of you and you push the metal plate forwards... it was quite funny, i watched some guy who looked proper serious about working out have a go on it, you know the kind... they always look at themselves in the mirror when they're working out. Well anyway when he got off i thought i'd have a go and i managed to comortably do twice the weights he did, the look on his face was priceless. I don't bother with going to the gym myself unless i'm on holiday, theres nothing better than going in the gym for a while then jumping into a swimming pool in somewhere really sunny like lanzarote.

Right, Ive Had Enough Of Sweating Like b*****d !
Krisboats replied to Joe Papasnap Maher's topic in Chit Chat
I sweat a shit load when i'm riding, but i guess its just normal. Its mostly along my arms and my chest... Its never enough to wet my t-shirt or anything but i never get like a massively sweaty helmet or anything... i've seen people push their helmets into their foreheads before and they had sweat pouring out the pads on their helmet. -
Far Cry is pretty good too... looks nice. Quake 4 is a pretty decent game, and the online multiplayer is okay too... quite fast paced which is always good. F.E.A.R. has a multiplayer mode but its not very good at all.

Well if you get some decent pictures of the stickers I can change the colour in photoshop, and i'll have a look to see if i've got any of the OHP film lying around somewhere... add me to msn and i'll see what i can do I knew that jason babe It was a hint that he might want to wipe it off I just find it a little irritating when people have that much grease over the sides of the chain, theres no need to have any on there, only on the little roller bits of the chain
-
I'm not going now, cant really be bothered. Sorry guys :$
-
Yeah... I was right Though i wasn't able to get dans wireless kit working over msn the other night... it's was soooo hard
-
Why dont you make them? White double sided tape, printable OHP (over head projecter) paper, a computer with photoshop and a printer.
-
Yeah i don't know what happened with the audio... seems like it does it on mine too. I used windows media encoder to make it a .wmv and for some reason that happened. Its never done it before though
-
Looks nice apart form all that crap on your chain

Very doubtful, the most the can do is ban you from all your other exams from that exam board. And the cost to re-sit a paper is the same as the cost for not turning up... so it'll be about £10-15 If you've been told that you're not entered then you dont go, simple as... unless you feel you'd like to turn up anyway and see how well you can do

No tomorrow by Orson Again very fun to edit your video kyle, i can't believe i stayed up so late doing it last night looks like it was worth it though

I have to say of the 3 main computers in my house, the laptop pc is the most reliable... in that it'll never work After using it you'll most likely have to either revert back to a previous save point of the hard drive using norton goback or re-install windows completely The mac is next in that it likes to throw fits and give me a load of error messages when i try and do things, it wanted to know some sort of super password when i tried to install the very first game i'd ever found for a mac and as far as my dad was aware he'd never set a password on it. It also never recognises any type of network device we've tried to attach to it and the operating system is just plain annoying, its just too boring for me. My pc is actually the most reliable computer in the house. It's only ever had a couple of mardy's and that was my own fault for overclocking the graphics card too much... i set it down a bit and since then its been fine. Its also the fastest computer in my house as well. It plays games, makes videos, goes on the internet and copies cd's and dvd's in very short amounts of time.
