  1. This. Sounds like your brake belongs in mansfield.
  2. 16:13 for me too. 16:14 is too weak.
  3. I think my sub was noticeable like twice. Generally i prefer the slower paced dubstep stuff with the really heavy basslines. Something like these two... Think the effects of the blocks clicking into place made this first one a little interesting and not quite as repetetive. Although i think with a song this well known it's going to be somewhat repetetive regardless of whats done to it save for absolutely mutilating the theme tune. Second one has nice low end that makes it very dubby. In fact, the second one has such a low section around 1.30 that the cupboard under the stairs pinged open. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwQ8VYgoqGE&feature=related EDIT: Actually, after turning it up a bit louder, the low end on yours got the sub moving a bit. Its not what i'm used to hearing, so it was original, but i'm on the fence with it i guess.

Yeah, it's easy for you to say that, but i'm the one who has boumsong turn up at my house holding his computer saying "it's broke again". He's actually phoned me up to get it fixed before and it was a case of it not being plugged in at the wall!

    ..

It explains how it works in the first link on google, so yes. N00b is now your title! If you have horizontal dropouts and want perfect chain tension you put the wheel in without the wheel tightened up, pull it into position of perfect tension (which leaves a gap between the dropout edge nearest the bb and the edge of the axle) and then measure the gap. Buy the correct spacer and simply slot it over your axle and whack the wheel in the frame. It's essentialy the same as a non adjustable snail cam only within the dropout slot.
  6. Long helps in a mechanical sense (easier for leverage and stability), however rider size and style will always cause a difference in what is considered long between one rider and the next. For me personally, 90% of mods are too small, as are most 24" bikes. 1040 Stocks seem too small for trialsy stuff and i'd say 1080'ish is around average. For most people 1100 is almost unmanagable, but i reckon i could handle even bigger than that at my size. If you want to vary your riding between streety and purely trials then you have the choices of a more balanced bike in terms of geometry or picking either of the two extremes and just.... making do.
  7. Okay, that's the second time you've written that.....
  8. Shame boumsong didn't know for sure it was mine. We tried looking round that end of town for it and it is a complete dive of an estate. I think i'll keep checking every now and again to see if i get lucky sometime. I also got my kona off pinkbike. Aside from some poorly set up components and some general servicing it was a steal and is lovely to ride.
  9. So yeah, like i said originally, you don't have the device drivers and raid controller driver installed on your laptop. It tells you what you need to do on the page you linked to by the way...
  10. Boumsong saw my old kona jump bike in loughborough today being walked down the street by a pair of chavs. They hadn't changed a thing on it, though he didn't know it was mine for sure (so didn't stop them) until i spoke to him later in the day. It sucks knowing that someone in the area is waltzing around with my stuff and i have no real idea where. Just gonna have to keep an eye out still....

    Films!?

Already got them, my point was that it's funny how easy it is to type the name and rapidshare into google and have them pop straight up! yet boumsong needs spoonfeeding it
  12. Right, so selling or buying in new members has been covered. The OP has apologised so that's all good. Hopefully you'll be a full, likeable member of the forum shortly. Bolton, please be more selective with your voting. To be honest, i kind of side with mr peaknuckle. People shouldn't be rewarded when breaking the rules, but then a thread of arguments probably isn't the best way to respond to this either.
  13. Wow, as much as i've enjoyed seeing this escalate, can we try and get back on topic now please and just let it be? It's kind of taken over the thread.
  14. Nope, don't go avid. I'e been reading up on them a lot as i want a new rear brake and so many people have said not to bother it's unreal. I've not heard this kind of unanimous decision since people started asking if trials-uk is a good site to use! My rear avi is only the 3 and it's supposed to be one of the more reliable ones, mines (for want of a better phrase) absolutely wank. Shimano saint's 2010. If you want power and ease of use, that's your brake. Plus they look mint too. Got a magazine with some disc brake supertest things here where they tested the brakes on a dynamo and recorded all the results. Could always scan it and upload if it'd be of any use?
  15. Just wait until my new video is out....
  16. Auto-Mod For Sale/Wanted topics are no longer allowed in New Members Chat. If you wish to post a For Sale/Wanted topic on Trials-Forum you need to read and follow this - http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?act=announce&f=13&id=3 Topic Closed.
  17. Do you run any stem stackers with your current/old setup?
  18. The Ti/fabric one is very nice. I think the fabric gives it a nice touch making it seem more expensive than it is. I also like the brown one, though probably would refrain from wearing a helmet that looks like it's covered in digitalised faeces. White or ti/fabric for me. Fudges have a couple of stores and a warehouse to store the online merchandise. Think theres one in london and one in either essex or surrey. I've been in the london one and the guys seemed really cool there, from what i can gather it's a fairly "family run" business.
  19. I tried one of these on in a shop the other day and was rather suprised by how comfortable they are. Much better than my old giro skyline. Fudges cycles is doing it for £39 something but i think delivery is £3.99 from there. Though they seem to stock every colour option/size so if the ebay shop is missing some you could get the one you want from there for a pounds difference. I'm slightly torn between getting one of these or waiting for the new 661 recon helmet that's due in september.
  20. Up until the other week i rode an onza t-rex. Now i'm riding a coust (st blaise) and hopefully soon i'll be on a limey to see how that goes. Add me on msn if you want, you got any idea what kind of bike you're after?
  21. SATA hard drive? Probably needs the SATA drivers. Try getting the chipset drivers and every other driver you can find for your motherboard on the manufacturers website and then stick them in a USB pen. During the installation when it asks for a drive there should be a section with the option of using disk drivers during the setup. Also, did you burn the disc on the slowest burn speed?
  22. Firstly, that's £450. Secondly, the only reason you would buy non-HD now is if you wanted pro filming features like interchangeable lenses etc or if you were on a really small (sub £100 budget). Thirdly those DVD camcorders were a bit of a fad from a time when people were switching from analogue cassette tapes to dvd players in their homes and companies thought the public would want the same kind of "pull the tape/disc out and whack it in your player" approach that we were currently accustomed to.
  23. You worded it like a spacker, i read it like it was written. Wow, you're so insecure! I meant the mundane sessions people often do in the area 5-10 minutes from their house every night of the week. So if he fancied having a change from that to something he's not done yet, that he would probably find interesting, get in touch as we usually have space in the car/cars. I wasn't having a personal dig at you for riding street and I don't recall saying cities aren't made up of straight edges?
  24. Well thats your fault for spacing it out like a spacker then. Could, easily, have been 2 sentences. With no commas/new lines, at all,,, I'm not being snobbish, but loughborough is pretty boring to ride. Leicester's okay, notts was pretty boring the last few times i went. Birmingham is okay, but that's a little further out of leicestershire. But there are some pretty nice "hidden gems" around leicestershire if people fancy some natural stuff.
