Yeah but like rich said, it gets busy on a sunny day and the rocks nearest the main road are slippery and mostly unrideable due to the amount of kids climbing on them. The ones out the way in the middle of the park are the best bet for being left alone and having something decent to ride.
-
Yeah they don't really mind. What sort of time on saturday? I might well be up for that. This is really the only set of rocks in there that are any good though Bradgate However there is markfield quarry just up the road. Never ridden there before but i heard it's good. My link

I got a MFD in my little finger around the same time as you, they said 6 weeks to heal but it hasn't ended up completely right and i'm still only just getting the gripping strength back with it. I can see it improving slowly month by month though so hopefully you'll see the same. Been about 12 months now and i'd estimate at around 75% gripping strength to before the injury. That video was astounding. Really, it was quite something, in terms of power, control and style you're at the top of the game. The fact you're imaginative in your riding and in your videos is just the icing on the cake. Top it off with some well shot and well edited HD footage and you are easily producing the best videos to date. Keep it up!

Try installing theK-lite codec pack with standard install settings (ie don't choose other options during the pressing next stages) Alternatively convert it all to AVI fist using TMPGEnc then import into vegas as an uncompressed AVI.

The wardens generally don't like people riding bikes off the path in there because of people usually racing at high speeds down the hills (myself included). Never had a problem with riding on the rocks though as far as i'm aware as there are kids climbing on them all the time. The kids feet have made the rocks quite slippery though in the main areas of the park so it's best to go a little more into the middle ofthe park if you're wanting to ride them. There are better sets of rocks around Leicestershire though....

Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread
Krisboats replied to Has anyone seen my shoe?'s topic in Chit Chat
Would he be jealous/upset if you played tennis with her? Just think of it as any other two person activity. Only worry how he would feel if things start taking the turn towards a relationship. -
It was on a few years ago. As far as i was aware they just lopped a hole in the frame and mounted it in without any pivot points, effectively just making a heavier, slightly more giving top section of the bike.

Blatantly two people outside the picture holding it up lightly.

Mag? Will do when the new toy is sorted.

Just whack it in a jig while it's welded.

That's more like it! Simple, quick and reliable. Out of curiosity though, how would you account for differing stem heights? A hole wouldn't work, so presumably some kind of groove down the stem and steerer with the key dropped into the groove in order to align it?
-
They're claiming that natal works with every 360 though, presumably through USB. So it's just a console style update and performance revision really. Anyway, better information and more pics.

Him being impatient doesn't really cause a rotor and bolts to disappear though or the brake to change sizes.... or even for rob to not post in that topic at all despite being on here 3rd June, a month after the topic was started.

I wouldn't bother if i was you.... It looks like it's Rob from this thread. He's somewhat of an annoying, arrogant.... dick.

Clean the steerer on the forks and get the grease off, clean the inside of the stem and sand the steerer with a rough sandpaper. Wipe with a cloth after sanding. Put the stem back on and tighten. Your arrogance in telling people who are experienced in this area that a splined system would be better when you can't even solve this little mechanical problem yourself really is quite shocking. I only have one pinch bolt as i stripped the other and it's moved once in a year and i crashed when it did. I'm over 200lbs as well so not a lightweight guy, and mine never twists when spinning or gapping.

Both sports have their merits in terms of both physical health and mental exercise but extreme sports have the SCARE factor which other more mainstream sports don't provide. Also 95% of the time the footballers play it safe instead of doing all the showing off moves that they use in the commercials and what not. Kinda makes it the equivalent of watching a load of dirt jumpers just cleaning the jumps instead of tricking them. Interesting story though, there's a scream bar in Leicester that had loads of signs on the walls saying if there's ever a sporting event on you could request to watch it on the tv's. There was some crappy P.L. match on and everyone was watching it. When the adverts came on i asked the guy at the bar if he could flick extreme sports on for a couple of minutes so i could see what was happening in the downhill/motocross coverage. When it came to switching back on the football match, to my surprise, loads of people in the pub had enjoyed watching the biking so much they didn't want the football any more and boo'd until the biking went back on (which was about 30 seconds later)

Not fussed. I'm not saying other people are wrong to like it, i just find it INSANELY boring to watch. Then i get the idiot friends who say "you should support your country!". Yeah, like you watch every sport england plays in yourselves? When was the last time they supported england in the world championships at downhill racing or chess playing?

24seven bikes are lovely bits of kit. Much better than the barracuda.

It's not that they weren't subject to it, completely the opposite in fact. They'd have been exposed to high pressure under a small surface area with a long duration of application with the force of acceleration from the slope adding to the speed as well.

I just like the pretty colours, seems to repeat olive after number 3 though

They blatantly weren't set up pretty good, the pad has worn away partially missing the side of the rim! So he tried them at the top of the hill as he went down, they didn't work, so he squeezed them harder as he's going down the hill and they still don't work and then he switched to just the back brake. Applied force + Surface Area + Motion = Friction. Friction gives heat as a by product. More heat = melted pads. And he's just said he squeezed hard as he's going down a hill. I think we need pictures of the rider, the bike, the hill, the weather conditions and a video of the brake application method used in the incident . I'm not trying to be awkward or funny but given that you say the brake was set up well, and it clearly wasn't, i'm somewhat sceptical that everything else happened exactly as you say. I mean first it was he rode down the road and pulled the brake and this happened. Then there was a hill involved but no braking took place. Now he went down the hill and pulled the brake hard for a while which didn't stop him. The pads look as though they were only partially hitting the rim and a smaller surface area heats up faster than a larger one. He was going at speed down a hill. He applied a reasonable amount of force to the brake in order to try stopping him. This didn't work and he continued travelling down the hill with the brake applied before using the back one on it's own. You guys are effectively telling us he's taken a soft pad and dragged it down a hill while it's not set up properly. Why are you surprised at what's happened? Fair enough, it could have been a dodgy set of pads. But from what i can see and purely from what you guys are saying i'm not entirely surprised. I once killed a set of tensile bubblegums in about 50 yards of flat pavement when i dragged my brake to try and bed them in. Didn't realise my grind was sharp enough to wear koxx browns at the same speed when i swapped them over. It's not the pads fault, i just misjudged something.

That's what i was thinking too. With the amount of templates already about i'd just get a free one rather than spend that much on a site. Well that's what i did do a few years ago and haven't looked at it since. This forum does it all for 90% of people.

There's some right old inconsistencies there. You say the very moment he used them yet at the same time you say you travelled down a hill. Then he didn't use them because you could 'hear' him using the back one. Why couldn't he have used both brakes at the same time and dragged them down the hill? Why do you think downhill bikes use discs? I mean, look at the edge of the pad. The material is melted and has dried in a sort of drip along the side of the pad surface. That's a lot of heat!
