  1. To wire the speakers to a jack (both 3.5mm or 6mm) it's fairly simple (from when I've needed a quick fix in the past anyway) Best bet is to go to Maplins (or similar electronicsy shop) and purchase a 3.5-6mm converter, and open it up, as the size makes things a bit easier to play with/solder. Once opened, you should find two seperate 'prongs', and from there you pretty much just need to solder one wire to each (as in, one wire of the two from each speaker) Check it's working, then tape/shrinkwrap it up, and that should do you fairly nicely. There is, however, probably a nice, tidier way to allow you to just pop the bare wires into something, allowing you to take them out for hi-fi use regularly too, but I haven't looked for it Anyway, as said before, you'll more than likely need an amp, but that may help with the wiring issue If not, ignore me ***Mind you, head down to somewhere like PC World (but good) and you can get a half decent speaker set for around £20-£50 [depending on what you want] which should be more than adequate for your needs
  2. Mine's BANG ON 1020 with Ashton forks
  3. Decide the pic didn't work too well then (Sorry, I really will stop filling the thread with crap now...)
  4. Wow, you can give abuse over the 'net, congratulations. However, I'll be more impressed when you can spell your own name, or count to 10. How old are you, 13, 14 at a push perhaps? Damn I'd hate to be you... Edit: Thanks Mark, I feel a lot safer now... And sorry for getting a bit lairy...
  5. You really need to work on more than one 'joke' In the meantime, piss off the forum... (sorry I couldn't put anything relevant to the topic by the way guys, not really up to date on mods in general, let alone a specific model )
  6. Directly under the post, to the left hand side, but to the right of the avatar column, if you see what i mean Here(ish) (below signitures) vvv
  7. And the point in you signing up only to (pointlessly) try to act hard over the net was... Some people really shouldn't be let out into the real virtual world fcuk_iz_bak; 0 reported posts; 1
  8. Ashton Edd Tongue, in one piece... (not many of them about either)
  9. Hey, Well I'm going to get the train in at 10.10ish, so I'll be in from about half past. Shall have a little play about and my brother may be with me for a little bit between then and 11/11.30 so may get a few things done while I've got someone to watch the bike. If you get bored of waiting head on in, you've got my number so give me a shout or something. If I hear no more then I'll head up towards the Copthorne about 12ish, and if I still can't find you, a call will be made (not necessarily to you mind...) See you in there at some point, Luke
  10. Mildly amusing perhaps Kieran isn't coming now apparently, due to a buggered crank Foolish child!
  11. Not sure what time you are able to pick your's up from, so here's a quick screenshot of the First Great Western site: Hopefully one of those should be of use To save too much opening (stupid thumbnail a bit too small!) there's trains leaving St Ives at: 10.56 11.25 12.56 13.56
  12. I'm there Nigwad, Changed shift so now working from 6 rather than 10.30 Yay! What's the plan? 11 at the Copthorne or something?
  13. Hey, Shall be driving in I think, and probably park near the guildhall or something (that or maybe the mayflower street multi-storey, we'll see. See you at the Copthorne at 11 (unless I speak to you between now and then to say otherwise...) Darren should be in about 2ish for a play too
  14. Ah, slightly disappointed that it's this after a topic called "finger position", but I guess now I'm here... Most people ride one finger covering the brakes (front and rear) all the time. This way you can always grab a handfull (well, the aforementioned finger-full anyway) if you should need to. Some guys ride two fingers, which is down to personal preference, but you don't have so much holding the bars to lift/pull with
  15. Haha! True, and also the real reason behind me going in... Think I'm gonna drive in, as need to be back for 5ish 'cause I'm doing some private function thing (aka doing drinks and admiring the talent....) for a friend Would be good to see a few more riders around, get a nice little crew going on! You know if the guys from cornwall are up, Alex? Oh, a Kieran is heading up, although probably no riding by the sounds of it (which is'nt all bad, as it will make us look that little bit better! Did you know I can bunnyhop a curb...?!) Now, to find some cash for parking...
  16. Erm, Pete, I think you've missed it... They posted yesterday about a ride 'tomorrow' (eg, today) Anyway, ride tomorrow (actually tomorrow, 19th!) as few of us should be about
  17. Learn to spell. Learn to punctuate. Learn that not everybody speaks whatever language that was supposed to be, and maybe you will get a reply that might be useful. However, if you do not learn to spell and punctuate, chances are any replies will be almost as appauling as the first post Good day sir (Just so I don't seem a complete arse, the post did get better towards the end, however, after far too many posts like this it just does my head in, as I'm sure many people can sympathise with...)
  18. OK, spoken to both my firm and insurance choices, and even though I buggered it up a bit, I'm off to Bristol!!! Stoked as hell seeing as I was a bit disappointed on opening the envelope, really pleased! Let's just hope they know what they're letting themselves in for...
  19. Just got mine and I got the same as that (ACC) plus another C for Chemistry Hopefully off to Birmingham, although not sure if I need to do anything. (They gave me an offer of BBB for the MEng course, and BCC [which I've met] for the BEng, should I keep trying to call them just in case?) Hoping for a letter from UCAS tomorrow to confirm stuff, but would be nice to know whats going on now really!
  20. Good luck Jon, hope you're all fixed up soon mate
  21. Running 24:18 (1.33...) at the minute, purely because I had the bits to make it ridable without waiting to order new stuff However, my drivetrain is the most bodged thing ever, other than the rest of the bike, so I wouldn't take much notice of me
  22. For god's sake that's it, soon as I have some money I'm quitting work! Would pop in for an hour or so but really not worth the effort just for that! Gay gay gay...
