Right, I think we need to sort out a big trials-riders meet-up and pissup for the first (or maybe second) night there. May as well hook up and get to know each other a bit (in an entirely non-sexual way, unless we really hit it off.... ) since we're there for a few years, and gonna ride at some point! Not entirely sure where/when as haven't had a proper look through the paperwork yet, but anybody else up for it?

If you still fancy one, but slightly cheaper, I am looking to sell mine due to needing money for uni! Full premium package (with hard drive, wireless controller, headset blah blah blah) and can also throw in Halo, Halo II, Halo Multiplayer maps and Ghost Recon. All in mint condition, fully boxed in the original boxes etc. and never had any problems with overheating (Even with several all-night gaming sessions. Oh the shame!) Looking for around £250 with all the games, or around £210 without PM me if you fancy, no worries if not. Just saves you a bit of cash, and helps me out at the same time

Yeah I noticed, but just took it to be "one of those things" that seems to happen from time to time. Was an hour ahead a while back, so maybe it's something up with daylight savings settings perhaps Was a little weird seeing the last post an hour into the future at that point!

Nice, and wasn't too much old footage either really so that's cool. What's the Justice like after the Pure? Liking it?
-
Really liking that! What's the geo on that frame, and how much did it set you back? Don't think I've seen one of those before...

Ah hideous... OK, taken from various places in the EasyJet T&C's: 3.3. Validity A Ticket is only valid for the Passenger named and the Flight and car rental specified being the person and Flight and car rental for which the reservation was originally made or as subsequently changed and accepted by us in accordance with Article 3.2 above. 7.2. Requirement for Check-in at the airport On check-in you are required to present certain information relating to your Flight and identity. This must include the Booking Reference of the Flight which you have confirmed with us and an acceptable form of photographic identification. Details of these requirements, necessary for all Flights (both international and domestic), are stated in our Carrier's Regulations . So, off looking around the Carrier's Regularions... Nothing really to copy/paste, but it seems that for INTERNATIONAL flights you need a passport or valid National ID Card, but I couldn't find anything about internal flights. Head over to the EasyJet site and hae a look though, as I had to skim it as I'm heading out in a minute. Hope this helps a little, sorry I couldn;t find more

Well take the student card with you as it's better than nothing, and if you are lucky they MAY accept it. Is there no way that you can get a passport sorted with ultra-quick turnaround, being an insider and all?
-
If it's just a passport wouldn't it make sense just to take it anyway, that way you have it if you need it. It's not as if it's a huge suitcase full of photos of your life in chronological order to prove it's you, so it's not really much, just so long as you keep it safeish you'll be fine surely? Any if you work for the passport service, any problems that you may have (unlikely) should be relatively simple to put right.

The "i'm About To Leave Home For Uni In A Strange City"

Meh, so long as it looks something like a massive cusion with "ornamental metal bits sticking out here and there" I'm sure it will be fine! If there's room between guitars/bags etc I'll just throw it in the back of the car on the way up, if the worst happens can always get it next time I'm down! (Bit over an hour or so drive, not really the end of the world!) Can't wait though, for the actual work side of things nearly as much as the riding/social side of things [which is slightly worrying really!] -

Good work! I'm sure with a small handful of us we can find a few spots easily enough, and as soon as we ride with someone else who's ridden Bristol we're even more sorted! Still waiting for them to say about bike storage in this place I'm staying, but think I may just take it and say "well you didn't say not to, and I need transport...." etc etc -
74? Pretty steep, that's beyond most mods/BMXs isn't it?! How do you find it? bet it's pretty responsive!! Does it feel twitchy at all, or is it fairly easy to get used to?
-
Or run a pad bodge (screw an extra set of backings on to your pads, so the pads are an extra 8mm or so in towards the rim Will hunt for pics and edit for you.... Alternatively, there's the offset maggie mounts: Something like that should do the trick if you don't want to run a wider rim (sorry the pics slightly too large really, but resizing takes a little effort and that's straight from another thread, so should be ok!)

Specific Bristol Uni Thread I'm off to Brizzle ma nizzle, so are a few others (see thread for more info) so we need to hook up and get things sorted methinks! From the looks of things the riding's damn good, it's just a case of grabbing someone local and finding our way around to the spots. Maybe sort out a massive trials reccy at some point during/after Freshers' perhaps? You taking your bike straight away? Assuming there won't be tooo many problems with stashing it in my room (In a student house, not halls) -
No worries, and definately go for it! Been riding mine for around a year now (first trials bike) and loving it! Off to uni in a few weeks, and hoping to try building myself a frame or two, try out some stuff, so who knows! Let me know what Iolo quotes too please...

Somewhere around 10" seems to be about right, maybe 11" including the extension above the top tube perhaps
-
Sounds about spot on really The Ashtons were almost exactly that, but (mine) has a wheelbase of 1020, although with different forks I'm sure 1030s about the same really
-
Getting pretty deep there Dave There's a fair chance that there is life elsewhere in 'this' universe (who knows what else there could be) but as stated before we can't say if it will be of a high enough capability to reach us, or even if it will be 'intelligent' life (ie. there could be alien chav colonies, but what chance do they stand of survival?!) Meh, I could get into this but it would be so much effort
-
Wow, never realised what talent you had Ali, get a new vid up soon!
-
Sounds like a man who knows what he's talking about eh Pete?!

Assuming you are all taking the reach to be "centre of the BB to top of headtube" (Or at least two points on the frame) it will be the same until you change the frame, switching forks won't change that now As for the frame, if it's only taps that you aren't doing so well, maybe just switch the forks. Cheaper, easier etc than a whole new frame, and, as Adam said, will increase wheelbase/BB rise. Would also slacken the head angle ever so slightly (although not really noticable too much I wouldn't think) which may help. If you are set on a new frame then I'm not going to get in your way (hell, that would be suicide ) but make sure you've thought it right through. You don;t want to regret it later...
-
Anybody else going to Bristol? Also, are you guys taking your bikes at the beginning of October when you go up, or gonna leave it 'til you've got the place sussed out a bit more. Think I'm gonna leave mine at home for a bit until I know where I'm going to be able to (securely) keep my bike etc (In a student house so hopefully be cool with it, but you never know...)
-
Right then, what's the plan tomorrow?! Gotta get another one in, surely it can;t be that time already?!
-
Cool, typical that the weather sucked yesterday but was fine today though! Crap when I want to ride, great when I had to work!! Should be the usual on Saturday though hopefully, and possibly a ride in the week too if I can be bothered and there's a few people about. When are you back at school? (Mwahahahahaha!)
-
Haha Well I PMed Tuppers about dates when I posted earlier, and gave him a link to this thread so hopefully he'll be able to shed some light on the situation when he's next online You up for Plymouth sometime this week? Day or night ride, both would be fun!
-
Hey, it's Tom yeah? On the MBUK forum you said there was one on the 17th, although if you are posting again here then I don't know what happened with that. I'll PM Matt Tupman for you (organiser) and see if he knows... Luke (24" in Plymouth...)
