Due to the fact that I'm practically the only under 40 where I live, a lot of my riding is on my own when around home, however, this summer I've started riding in Plymouth a bit more with a few guys (Alex, Prawn, Kieron etc) which is cool as before that I hadn't ridden with trials riders. Alex is a similar sort of level to me too, a little better but that's ideal as it gives me something to aim for and push myself which is always a good thing However, I know what you mean about lone riding being boring, especially when the riding around you is as limited as here!

If it's just a little dent, then don't worry about it, will be fine If it is a complete fold in the tube (unlikely from the sound of it) or a crack, then I'd go for a new frame. As for warrantee or whatever, I'm not really sure, best bet is to call and find out.

Yeah, a bog standard kind of mod gearing (from what I've made out) is about 1.5 (teeth on chainring divided by rear) eg 18:12 would be about right as 18/12 = 1.5 Stock is usually around the 1.22ish mark, with 22:18 being a very common ratio. So look for something around 1.5, and then see if you still want to change anything after running that for a little while. From there it will just be a case of changing the rear cog by a tooth or two to get what you're looking for

Looks to me like a Planet X mini seat. Can (or at least used to be able to) get them in a few different designs (Union Jack, Welsh flag, flames etc) for around a tenner or so Try EGay or something perhaps (I'm running the grey flames one...) Oh, and the Base ones that Onza Joe posted are the same really, just slightly different design by the look of it

No reason why you can't, just try with different amounts to see if there's a limit to what you should put on
