  1. Been running DMR Moto Diggers for 6 months or so now and other than the thin sidewalls I can't really fault them. Running them on Tioga DH rims laced up to Hopes (XC Rear/Mono Front) and had minimal problems, other than breaking a few tyre levers (and nearly thumbs!) trying to remove tyres for punctures (only had 2 in 6 months, cant really complain). Not sure if this is down to the rim or the tyre, or a combination of the two Oh, I got given some lovely pink BMX grips a while back, so thinking of getting some pink tyres and running them when these tyres wear right out (very little wear as of yet though, due to limited riding what with A Levels etc.) but of course BMX bars are thinner than MTB. Reckon it would be as easy as dumping them in some boiling water and stretching over with brute force?
  2. Check for info on the '06 Roadtrip in the rides section - is talk of popping down to Newquay by the sounds of it, so you should be sorted! First week of August
  3. Just to make a quick correction - wheelbase is the distance from axle to axle Rear axle to BB is the chainstay length Otherwise a 1100mm wheelbase bike would be a very interesting concept
  4. Is there much change geometry-wise from the last Matt? Looks nice, although like when you showed us the green one, the forks aren't so nice. Get some nice straight blade forks on and will look the bomb! Just out of interest, what gearing are you running on that?
  5. Yeah I figured, but get one sorted right now bitch! Looks bloody stunning, similar spec again would do nicely Oh, and did I mention that when it's done I will be stealing it?
  6. At the moment I don't think you can buy the frame alone, although I'm sure if you can I will be corrected! If you can stretch to it though the ride is pretty tasty to say the least. Never ridden a huge amount of 26" trials personally, but that (standard build other than Zoo! pads on the rear) is the nicest I myself have ridden Sorry I can't be of more use about the frame though
  7. Pete the Ilions is stunning! Screw that Coust piece of crap and sell the GT just to get that thing going again!
  8. 5'5" so a T-Pro (or other mod) should be fine lengthwise, but the only real way to know what's best for you is to ride it. Get the bike, give it a little while to get used to the feel of it, how it rides etc, then you can start to consider whether you want a longer reach (random example) so therefore change the stem perhaps, or change the gearing etc etc I'll let a few other people have a say too, so it's not just coming from me, as like I said I'm not too familiar with T-Pro spec. Someone who's got one may be able to offer advice on specific parts/problem's that they have had or something Luke
  9. To be honest, an off the shelf T-Pro will do you fine for a while. Until you start to get the hang of a few things and know what you like/don't like about the bike it's hard to know what (if anything) to change. I may be wrong, as I haven't looked at the spec of T-Pros recently, although Looking at the T-Rex it's a pretty safe bet that for now, you will be ok. It will depend on your size, build, strength etc as to what to change in the future, but when you feel that there is something that a new part may resolve, feel free to get back on the forum and ask how to sort it etc. Anyway, to summarise, grab it as-is, and give it a while before making too many upgrades/changes
  10. http://www.performancebike.com/shop/Profil...;slisearch=true A possibility, though how long that would last with trials abuse is unsure... May be fine, don't get me wrong, but in that case you may spoil the appearance of your nicely preened bicycle
  11. Take a file/angle grinder to the standard DMR one, just make the track a little wider and you should be fine
  12. Heard only good reviews of the Fresh Products tensioner, and I'm running a DMR STS which I've never had a problem with (running one on jump bike too, again problem free) Few others about too, but if I were to need another I'd go for one of those That DaBomb one is basically a rip of the STS, may need a little persuasion with an angle grinder as my brother's did (was the same but without any branding, think it's about a tenner from Woolly Hat Shop; www.woollyhatshop.co.uk if I remember correctly)
  13. I would imagine that the guys at Charge would have hand built it themselves, although if they go into mass production (hmm) then perhaps will go elsewhere
  14. If you can do Bristol and Plymouth together (one after the other) then would be awesome as they may be the only rides I can get to (selfish I know...) Unless of course someone has space for me? Don't worry, I'm (pretty much) house/car trained Maybe something like: -NASS (Sunday) -Porthcawl -Bristol -Plymouth -Portsmouth -London -Manchester (Demo, Saturday) Possibly Maybe Perhaps
  15. Not surprised in the slightest actually Emailed them a few months back and got told "possibly early 2006" but of course that didn't happen, however with the recent developments... (Oh, and if you need a test rider etc. Mart...)
  16. However speaking to Martyn a while back he mentioned that he was considering releasing another 24" at some point, so this is probably when he'll do it (if he decides to go ahead with it) This time, however, a bit more time will no doubt be spent on testing etc to reduce the cracking/snapping of them, although with Orange I would expect quality anyway (Not that I wouldn't from Ashton Bikes, that came out sounding a bit of a dig which it wasn't...)
  17. LovelyChris and Leech know where it's at! Nice and street, perfect for Akkers, although to be honest he could ride Pete Wright in the Worlds and win! Mmm, homotrials
  18. Anybody able to tell me if the old Ashton forks (with 24/26" mounts) have a steel steerer tube?Need to get it lengthened/replaced really, so if it is and I can find someone nice to do it for me...
  19. Stunning, obviously a rider with a more 'street' edge to their riding though Love to see that beast built up
  20. Hey, welcome to the forum Just like to introduce you to this one guy, he's called a full stop. Oh look, there he was, just passed him. Hehe, sorry bud, couldn't help but notice how every sentence ended in a !
  21. 24" But yeah, as mentioned, please use the search, as it does get a little tiring seeing this every week or so I know it's been moved towards "why do you prefer mod/stock" but that's the way they all go... Please
  22. Not my cup of tea (well, bike...) Think we may have a classic 'Marmite' situation on our hands...
  23. What's wrong with my face bitch Loving it when that frame went though, made me feel a whole lot better about my flat! Was a cool ride, nice and chilled and some sexy riding going down (mostly towards the beginning of the ride) Will be in next week for sure mate! Thanks for letting me ride along too guys, first ride with trials riders so that was cool in itself, just seeing you lay down some of that stuff was good enough for me Will try and get a bit better sometime soon though, maybe ride a bit more myself Haha! nice, although takes ages to get to the fun! Didn't you get any of the actual riding on film from up near Civic etc.? Was a quality moment though! Nice Link works fine for me JT, although I sent it to a mate on MSN and wasn't working for him either so I'm bloody confused! try copy/pasting http://www.megaupload.com/?d=67BVT1PC (maybe!)
