That is a lot of unneccessarily usefull tooling, I wish I had the space
-
Didn't you have a fisher fury before? Have you got the same issues with clutch actuation ratios or has this one got a better designed pedal box?
-
Can you describe the noise? Soundcloud link doesn't work
-
You best have done kirkstone, hardknott and wrynose, if not then get driving back over there!

f**king basher!

13 seconds for tartyadam I think

I got moistened

Blue skies and sunshine here
-
I have a beard and I'm in a 56 plate S-Max, not on the track though
-
I've booked the afternoon off work so will probably mosey on over about 1ish by the time I've gone home and sorted some stuff
-
Re the weather, my phone still says that it's sunny. I can see Fradley (where the sprint track is) from the office window and it is f**king slinging it down here
-
Out of interest what's the difference, is the standard a different pipe layout? Didn't you say the old one was 4-1?
-
For reference my bullshit phone says it's dry tomorrow afternoon/evening this way
-
According to my phone* the weather for Tuesday is dry and sunny if a bit chilly *take that with the biggest pinch of salt ever, but odder things have happened** **like dan4651566884323467 being fast in his French shitbox

Claim on house insurance? It sucks but that's why I lock myself in the house at all times.

That sucks dude, condolences to Stephanie and her family

I have had a thought, are your pistons crowned and do they protrude above the top of the block and into the combustion chamber? If so then that makes the measurement a little more complicated but not undoable. The rotax motor is bombproof and is just fine at that cr, as long as I only use superunleaded; the only time I couldn't get super it broke the cases within 20 miles The standard cr is around 9:1, the 100mm piston, 1mm off the deck height and the skimmed head has upped it quite a lot

Chainstay length is measured directly between the bottom bracket and the rear axle, when designing the jig you will want to keep things as square and true as possible and hang the frame around it. Lay it out on cad and you can very quickly see where you need to be putting stuff. I can knock together a quick model for you if you want clarification
-
Neither are incorrect but both are incomplete, the 455 needs an angular dimension added and the 449.9 needs a vertical dimension added as a bare minimum. Depending on the frame jig, I would personally prefer to keep the dimensions purely in the x and y axis. In reality the 455 is easier to fabricate to but the angle could be hard to achieve, the 449.9 is more than likely outside of your fabricating tolerance so could be rounded to 450 and the 455 made a reference dimension. Remember that all vertices need to have both an x and y component (z if you're working in three dimensions) and all dimensions should come from a common datum, in the case off a frame the bottom bracket is ideal.

To be honest as long as you know the deck height, stroke and bore the cylinder volume is a very simple calculation; if you wanted to be really anal about it you would include the miniscule volume between the piston / cylinder above the rings but imho I wouldn't bother I would just measure the combustion chamber with oil and go from there, the requirement for accuracy to the Nth degree is unnecessary. When it comes to fueling and ignition timing this should all be checked with a dyno anyways. For reference I calculated the supermoto to be around 12.5:1, it will only run on superunleaded without fatal detonation. If you go fi in the future you can always put a spacer plate under the head assuming you can sort out the cam drive (rods or chain?).

I dug them out the shed, I haven't had a chance to look to see how bad they're leaking (if they are, I honestly can't remember); I'll endeavour to have a better look at them tonight. They're actually upgraded with the adjustable damper cartridges from a Z1 bam, however I don't think I have the top spring preload adjusters (again I'll have a look). You should be able to adjust the preload with a spanner without any difficulties and spare adjusters might be available from tf tuned or one of the other suspension tuners. I'll let you know when I've had a better look at them

No worries, realistically couldn't offer shower and stuff even if you were at mine (assuming you could manage to camp on my patio :D) with it being a school day and stuff; definitely not at work! Don't know of any off hand, a nice bnb is your best bet though, much nicer to have a decent sleep and breakfast beforehand, there's no guarantee of that if you're camping.

They did indeed, but they brazed rather than welded which I understand affects the grain structure less

Aye, tis only round the corner, you coming to the tf track day at Curborough next Tuesday? I'm only there for a short while in the afternoon for the social but it's a mile from Fradley so rude not to As and when I dig out the triton I'll yell but you'll get far more riding activity from the trials whores.
