  1. So some Chinese factory has probably seen the design offered it in their generic parts catalogue and Speedrace have taken option to put their name on it. It's a cruel world, but where have you been selling your bash? As I haven't seen it come up on here or OTN before.
  2. A fresh bleed (preferably with water for a lighter action) on the existing lever would make it feel better. A newer style lever with a 4 finger blade would offer more power as would getting a Fresh Products blade for your existing lever body.
  3. Looks really nice, love the spec, sure it rides lovely.
  4. Thought it was only the BMX hubs that had axle inserts? Bromley or Tarty are your best bets, Bromley (Evolution imports) are the UK distributors.
  5. Please tell me how long you think they've been testing the frame for?
  6. Wouldn't say it happens to all of us at all, pretty sure it's easier not to strip a thread, certainly easier not to strip a thread let alone 3 of them. But as Matt said, daft topic, you're asking us whether you should pay someone 5 pounds to helicoil your mount in a frame you like a lot or chuck it and buy a new one...... Don't think you need anyone to tell you what to do there.
  7. All types of awesome really really enjoyed that! Having spent most of the day in Bristol the other week wondering what the hell Ali was going to do next i can't wait to see the next one!
  8. As that frame was ridden by Joe Seddon for about 3-4months before hand and he had no issues with the rear on it or his current purple version, I'm sure the rear ends are fine. To be honest it looks like pretty much any light weight mod using round tubes, but the details set it apart (and its made of U6); don't know if he Speedrace Fans frames are made in that factory, I know few others that are.
  9. Looked like a damn good show, some impressive stuff
  10. I have dark memories of getting whupped by Gee Atherton riding DH on that bike with a snapped rear mech for about 2/3 of the race and still beating the elite field by 9 seconds. Jew. Nice bike
  11. That's pretty tidy, should have sprayed black or white I think, really tidy looking frames though and very very light.
  12. Because he was sponsored by Rockman and now he is sponsored by Speedrace... Think it looks pretty nice Kieran, see how it holds up eh! See you at the weekend in Plymouth?
  13. That's what I thought, if you've done a decent job there should be 300-400grams of paint on that frame. Could have removed the bash guard mounts too.
  14. Looks interesting, be nice to see how it effects or doesn't effect geo in a negative way. If you can design it so that when tensioned the axle is rotated to the intended and designed position.
  15. My newer type Urbans were pretty flexy (before they cracked and i stopped riding them), more so then the controls I had before and the Rockman forks I have now.
  16. Looks really really nice.... however why have you gone to all this effort modifying bits to make them lighter and then you go and spray the frame in a nice coat of paint....

    New Hs33 Brake

Rotor bolts shouldn't be anything but Torx bolts, saves rounding anything off whilst still be able to have a low profile head for clearance.
  18. Sounds like a standard night then! However getting your arse here is your only priority now
  19. Can we please just go and ride on saturday?
  20. Simpson you're the last person I'd want near my face with a scalpel, I'd rather have Rich Pearson wielding a chainsaw after a night out to take them out than you. If any of us lot are doing them I'll do them myself
  21. Nah afraid not I asked her to give me a suture kit when I went in earlier and she said I need to see a nurse at least as it might not be ready
  22. Need to get the stitches out of my chin in London or Portsmouth really... wasn't healed enough today.
  23. I dont know if you intended that as some form of innuendo, but regards to headsets you really can overtighten a top cap as it's used for preloading the bearings.
  24. Get a 110x10 or 120x20ish stem on there, should be fine, you'll benefit from a nice set of risers too. Oh and welcome back to the sport
  25. Bigman was running a King last time i saw him as i beleive Nick Vaughn (Prawn) was or maybe it was a Pro 2. I'd still plump for either of those freehubs over a freewheel.
