  1. He speaketh the truth! But the rest of the "how to" is spot on.
  2. God bless the Spelling Bee, I couldn't understand a word of that bit either. Joe, willl you be changing the downtube on the Limey 4 26" for to something different? I can see the fickle forum picking up on the fact its the same as found on another bike (Its one of the first things i noticed)? Also i would ovalise the chainstays to increase the stiffness and dent resistance. The graphics (logo) looked subtle and neat. The 20" could go light from what Joe was saying and from what i could see, lose the bash guard mounts; as they're pointless due to the BB being so high and the CNC seatstay braces could be made neater, Will be silly light if you do. Regards to people worrying about the extreme geo reach wise it feels pretty normal, certainly not cramped. The high bottom bracket is strangely stable but gives you so much clearance when static hooking and wedging obstacles; I know Joe says he managed to clear a section at Rippol that only a few others madde due to the extra clearance he got. When I've ridden with him I haven't noticed the geo hampering his gaps, sidehops or bunnyhops; in fact I would say he's improved.
  3. I imagine 11am, normal spot in the car park by the railway track. But you've quit....... or have you?!
  4. Rockman forks...... expensive, but incredibly stiff and the 4bolt mount/booster set up should see them lasting a fair bit longer than other 4 bolt forks.
  5. Fraid its Sunday mate Sicky............
  6. Its sooooooo light and the colour is amazing in the flesh. Joe seems to be loving the short and high geo definitely riding it like a beast. Saw Andrei's at Westbay yesterday, new purple 26".... god its gorgeous, stupidly light too! I want one
  7. That was my thought, the brake flexing outwards and away from the wheel surely would put more stress on the brake mounts, leading to them cracking faster? Where as reverse mount forks reduce this stress and should lead to the forks lasting longer? Certainly can't see my Rockman forks snapping any time soon.
  8. I'm sure it matters because he's looking for lighter pedals and doesn't want cages. Makes sense really.
  9. As has been said increases the braking performance by forcing the pads onto the rim as the brake is applied. However I don't think it would make them crack any sooner, my Urbans with mounts on the front cracked in under a month. Rockman forks are your friend
  10. Monty 221 Ti or Tensile bars. Wellgo MG1 pedals.

    J9 - New Vid

Pretty damn impressive. Love the pigs
  12. Nope because you're all massive homos and are always busy!
  13. I run a maggy on the rear of mine with no issues, my mate Ben runs a vee on his and its awesome and I know Andrei and Joe Seddon never run boosters on theirs and I've never heard them complain about a lack of stiffness. Mine feels solid, certainly never thought about running a booster that's for sure.
  14. Thats the whole point of having members and pre members, you have to earn the right to be a full member where you can sell stuff, this only happens over time. You've made two posts and been on the forum 5 minutes, you could be anyone, trying to rip someone off. It's a method of protecting the honest masses from the dishonest few. It's in the forum rules and guidelines for a reason.... if you'd read them as you should have done and read the sticky topics at the top of NMC then you'd realise this and have an informed understanding of what's expected of you and how to conduct yourself. Most of it's common sense, but have a read, it will help you out .
  15. Nutter! Now I wish i had popped out in Bristol when he was down, looks hilarious.
  16. FORUM SPECIFIC RULES New Members Chat Forum For Sale/Wanted Topics are not allowed in New Members Chat. Offenders will be warned. Reported.
  17. Nicely put together little tutorial there
  18. Depending on what rim you use. I had Browns on my 26" with a Ronnie rim, using a sharp light grind, which swiftly went dead and they were awesome, sharp bite, great hold and a confidence inspiring honk. But on the Viz! rim I have at the moment, they didn't work, but then nothing seems to.
  19. Well which ones?! Depending one which colour depends on the compound dictates whether you run with a grind or not and what type of grind and what conditions it will work in. Need to be a little more specific
  20. I bnloody well hope so, funny funny lad
  21. Andrei has never run carbon forks, i don't think he ever would as he seems to through a set of urbans every month.,... Danny Butler I think uses a set of custom made forks. I can't honestly believe you've asked this Alex, no is a plain and simple answer. They're a rigid XC fork, go for it if you really have that much of an aversion to your face.
  22. Dear god Charlie, i didn't realise you'd put those clips into a vid was a nice chilled ride. Can we do this again sometime soon please!? I'll bring the real bike next time too
  23. Hate to state the obvious, but have you tried running them 4 cross, i can't imagine a snowflake wheel lasting too long on a BMX... ether that or buy the right length spokes.
