Ok so you're saying you had a faulty brake from the start? Then you water bled it to invalidate your warranty? And then came on here to moan about it? Nice one. They're known to have flaws from the start and some leak, so that would have put me off, but to then mess around and bleed it with a fluid that would invalidate your warranty and then moan about it on a public forum to remove all hope of that cause is a bit daft really.
Don't think they need boycotting as some seem to work fine, it's an educated risk.
I've ridden a 320 a hell of a lot more than I have a Manus but I found both to be awesome. Personally I would go for a 320, but that's just me; tough downtubes, love the tensioning system (the same as on my Limey 3) and look nice too.
Hey watch it, that mix is amazing, gotta love a bit of Cragga!
You have improved loads Jack, the 'test' bit was a little poor, but you made that clear from the start. Shame i just got a set of Rock blues, intrigued by these TNN pads.
OK mate, we'll I've got a mate who works for VW so I'll see what he can do, but if not i'll be in touch. You recommend using primer too? I'm guessing one can was enough for your frame?
I think if Dartmoor was a viable venue there would be a round down here, but I can imagine it hard to find a suitable venue. Essex is only 30 miles closer to me than Addingham, both being over 200 miles away.l
I find them annoying too, I doubt anyone would find it more comfortable with a helmet; but surely the benefits of wearing one and the risk of not make the choice fairly simple at the sacrifice of some comfort?
Surely you're better off at buying a frame that already has bash plate mounts? Even if you could weld the mounts on and get it heat treated back to standard, the frame itself isn't designed to have stress and impacts put through that part of the frame. In short, don't do it!
Well yes, the argument is that someone that takes all reasonably practicable steps to protect themselves, in this case wears a helmet, should be entitled to free medical care. If you can't be bothered to take those precautions and you receive an injury directly related to this then you are at fault.
A helmet isn't designed to protect someone from breaking their spine so hardly a valid argument.
