Umm, when its not yours so effectively you will be 20k down at the begging (or however much you use), then its actually very easy to go bankrupt. If you have 1 comp a month, thats 12 comps a year. If you use £6,000 of that £20,000 then you will have to make £500 PROFIT - NOT TAKINGS per event just to break even at the end! (Y)

Get a steel front ring (otherwise it will get munched pretty quick, stock middleburn ones are ally, but still wear quick) Dmr v12s / v8's depending on budget. If your going to get welgo copies make sure you get the v12 copies, the v8 copies are rubbish. Depeding what gear ratio you like, between 15 and 18 tooth cog on the back, i run a surly SS cog with old cassette spacers. a fresh products tensioner is best, i have one and its great. Definately needed if you are running vertical dropouts.

Also remember, a fair few riders on here ride other cycling diciplines too, so may actually have some use for a saddle! (Y)

Hopefully, might be busy, but i hope i will be riding. Oli

This guys on the right lines! Go into device manager and actually uninstall and delete the drivers, then the drives themsleves so it doesn't even show the errors. Then restart the computer, and it should come up with add new hardware wizard, and go from there!

Put the rotor in the dishwasher (another hope recomended tip), get some new pads (ebc red/green), clean caliper, and re bed-in using mud- will be much better. doing the same but replacing the disk with 180mm + adapter /caliper half would be even better.

Nights Are Getting Longer, Days Are Getting Shorter

I tend to do big muddy XC rides if its wet - lovely fun! :( Pain in the arse when you get back literally plastered in mud, but great fun doing it. Have to peel off clothes and properly clean bike after every ride lol. I got through a BB and 2 lots of Deore mechanical disk pads in 4 or 5 rides last winter! Now my kona is even better, but have yet to get it muddy this winter. To expensive to keep here at uni, and hard to get home. When i get a car all will be good. -
Several Crystal skulls are in existance, and they are of unknown orgin. One is carved from a single crystal of quartz :( Click me for more! The Bible has been translated into Klingon.

I go to Uni, studying mechanical engineering. Have far too many expensive hobbies that i kinda try and do, although only usually really into a couple at a time. Bikes: Got my new trials bike, a jump bike, and my Kona XC/freeride bike. all built up by me. Have also had saracen MAD, a nicely specced get around, and a absolutely gorgeous GT LTS (its a gold ANODISED frame- very rare, if you see one for sale give me a shout it may be mine!) but these have ben stolen, pikey bastards :( Cars: Got my mini under restoration, also got a project going on with my dads chevy van. Just stared getting a bit more involved in this now ive started uni, as theresa motor club, and theydo scatter rallies and so forth, great fun. Radio controlled cars: used to race em, most of them been sitting on a shelf since last summer. Got a HUGE of roader (HPI Savage) two smaller of roaders (HPI NMT), and an on road (HPI NRS4). Those are all nitropowered (have an engine) also got an electric Tamiya TL01 and a real retro tamiya holiday buggy. Built myself an RC hovercraft for A level DT, that rocks! Scalextric: was into this a couple of years ago- dug it out for Uni, and is good fun on a wet evening or when you come back drunk at 2am! :D I have nearly 100 pieces of track, and 12 cars. All needs a good clean and i need to get an electrical engineer student to rig me up a decent power supply, the scalextric one is crap.

I had pretty much perfect attendance at school / 6th form, but tis much harder to be bothered to get up at uni! ive missed 2 9am lectures already :( ahh well, all is good :D

thats a bit bad-but that kinda stuff tends to happen at parties if your not careful. make sure everything got dried off, give the bike a proper wash if nessesary. get some wd40/gt85 out and give everything a good squirt to stop it rusting and get rid of any left over water. for your hub, take off the cassette, and remove QR skewer. pull off the bit that grips to the drop out that sits nicely in the freehub. now very carefully and slowly pull the freehub away from the hub, while turning counter clockwise. as soon as you see the pawls, get you fingers around them as well as holding onto the freehub (hard to expain, but its possible!) and pull the freehub off, and the pawls wont fly everywhere as you have hold of them. now clean, degrease and reasemble with a bit of grease in the pawl carrier, and either a smeer of grease or some finish line lube around the ratchet in the hub. Should work better than new now!

Depends if you want portability or power, There are laptops with desktop specs, but there huge, heavy, and only go for about 30 mins on thier battery. My mates got one with 17" screen, P4 3 ghz, 1gb ram, 100gb HDD and so on, but it was over a grand, and its heavy- more a portbale desktop pc than a laptop. Mine i an AMD 3200+ 512mb Ram, 15", 40gb HDD screen and goes for 45 mins - 2 hours on a batery depending what im doing. I think this is roughly good spec, it certianly fine for what i need.

mine has network card and wireless built in yes, was cheap as its a reconditioned unit, but has been fine so far. Got it from www.studentcomputers.co.uk

At £650, its a rip, but at the £550 its ok. Ive got a Packard bell, cost me £475 i think, and has twice the RAM, and a faster processor, but a slightly smaller HDD- other wise exactly the same. Is very good. Oli

22:16 should be good for street, although a lot of people seem to prefer lower (easier) gears. i use 20:15, which is pretty much the same. Oli

Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy! its a must read (is you like it, read the rest of the series) Also pretty much anything by Bill bryson is funny. A Short History Of Nearly Everythign is interesting, although somehting like Notes From a Small Island you may find boring. Robert Rankin is also hilarious, but you have to like the genre. Ive only read The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of The Apocolypse, and yes it is as mad as it sound, but i really couldnt put it down, literally! read it on holiday in one day lol!

Advantages: Clear to see what the thing looks like (its a 3d kinda drawing) shows more than one side of something at a time Disadvantages: Measurements cannot be taken without using trigonometry. Hence why Orthographic drawings are used for production.

That is rather nice!! I wish this country would wake up to the idea of proper parks! We spent 2 years lobying our local council to build a park/bmx track on some disused council land where i lived, we got plans, quotes, everything, and eventually they just turned round and went - no, it would be too unsafe! If you fall off you would sue us, or some rubbish :D . We tried saying just stick up a disclaimer sign or whatever but they werent having any of it! They were the first to compain if i was riding on some benches though!

I can't remember who it was, but someone on here put a hope closed pro lever on a maggie (like you would find on a c2). He had to change all the seals in the lever so the mineral oil wouldnt kill them. He said it was good, but he burst his slave chylinders uite quickly due to the extra pressure i believe. You cant put an open lever of any sort on the maggie (ie the hope mini/mono/trial lever), as the maggie is a closed system. Basically, its very hard to do succesfully, and isn't recomended.

48 Engagement Points, 2 sets of 2 pawls (thats 4 in total) Offset from each other, running in a 24 tooth ratchet to maintain strength.
