Humans can't even figure out captchas. Perhaps this is how it starts - humans have to stop using the internet due to the inability to register anywhere, machines figure it out and take over. Shut down power plants, launch nuclear missiles, build terminators, black guy sacrifices himself in order to destroy leading computer company.

Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread
Greetings replied to Has anyone seen my shoe?'s topic in Chit Chat
We don't live together, that's probably the problem. An adventure is the right word - that's what I'm looking for. I'm also really happy alone but when I'm out, I like to do something fun. Need some proper terrain for that which we sadly don't have over here. I'm not sold on cycling, that said I will give it a try. There are some nice woods nearby. -
In how powerful and heavy that thing must be.

Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread
Greetings replied to Has anyone seen my shoe?'s topic in Chit Chat
The missus seems to think we don't have common interests regarding daily activities chiefly because when she comes up with ideas on how to spend the day I'm not that interested. That's actually true, she's very much a person who likes to listen and look at things being done while I prefer to actually do them. So when she prefers to go to a concert, I prefer to sit in front of a piano and try to play something myself. Even when we go to a water park she's usually just sitting in the water and I'm swimming back and forth, diving wherever it's over 1ft deep, making use of every facility (alone obviously) and generally speaking trying to waste as much energy and have as much fun as possible. I can't even do the simple things with her like a picnic, I'd have to get REALLY stoned to sit down and not move for a few hours. I think motorsport and somewhat trials have raised the bar so high in terms of adrenaline and the rush I get that everything else seems boring as f**k. So when I hear about some performance / concert / demo / insect cooking class (well, that actually sounded fairly interesting) I'm just a bit meh. I totally understand why she feels the way she does. I do give in to some of her ideas to keep her happy but it's not working because she can see I'm not interested. She suggested I recommend some activities but my mind is a complete blank. I want to do something fun but my current hobbies (well, mostly motorsport) just make everything seem dull. Does anyone have any ideas? Currently we've got kayaking and a visit at the rope park on the agenda. We're going to hire a water bike tomorrow, I kind of like the idea of getting it to the middle of the lake and jumping out. Anyone? edit: I think the biggest problem is that 1-2 years ago I was just fine with doing anything so long as it was with her, now I want to do something interesting as well. -
Managed to pee in the superman position. It actually works, recommended

Few clips from today, riding with an old friend. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=043yK2KnSUc

Was it actually this one? It's similar but something's not right about it.

Yep, rear are ADM, front are LGM. Indeed It's quite loose, didn't tighten the chain since it was replaced. Will do it in a moment.

We all miss Poopie. It's good to see that avatar again. I think an Onzaboymark is due too.

How many people still keep / ride retro trials parts? Builds?
Greetings replied to Brettoll's topic in Trials Chat
The only retro thing I've got currently is Echo Supa Trial tyres with white strips. Sometimes put them on full builds though admittedly I haven't done this for about 2 years now -
You're f**king with my brain man...

Feeling weak and shaking after a few minutes of riding
Greetings replied to Greetings's topic in Trials Chat
What's a buzz? Is it a feeling of having too much energy? If so, I only got this a handful of times in the past few years and would really like to know how I can get this more often. Need to read up on the GI and GL. From what I read on Wikipedia it's probably worth sticking to foods which have a glycemic load of under 15 in the table Mark posted? -
Feeling weak and shaking after a few minutes of riding

Thanks guys, much appreciated. I'll do as advised. I usually try to eat 1.5 hours before riding but my schedule is pretty hectic so can't plan for this properly. So in a nutshell - brown rice / whole grain pasta before riding, no meat until after riding (correct?). If I don't drink coffee, will a Red Bull do? -
Feeling weak and shaking after a few minutes of riding
Greetings replied to Greetings's topic in Trials Chat
Considering I usually ride in the evenings I'd say so, yeah. What can be done to avoid this? -
Often get this and it's starting to piss me off. This never happens after a longer while on the bike, always within the first 5 minutes. I start feeling very weak, a bit dizzy and my hands start to shake. I then get epic munchies and finish up consuming probably my daily intake of food in a frenzy. I'll gobble up literally anything I can find that doesn't require preparation, so often finish up eating things like crisps with dry instant noodles and chocolate. After a "meal" like that I'm usually good to go riding again. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Could it be related to sugar levels? I felt it coming half an hour ago so got off the bike, ate a snack and am waiting for the feeling of weakness to pass. Usually, I'll continue riding until I can barely stand and then run off to the kitchen.

Don't CF parts come coated in gel coat though? I think it's fairly unusual to get bare carbon fibre, could be wrong though. I'd assume you can rub down the gel coat a bit and then lacquer to get a good finish?

Funnily enough that video was just shown on the largest 24 hour news station in Poland in a kind of "interesting trending videos" section.

Yep. Post a picture of her asking that question or we won't believe she said it.

I think your handlebars might be back to front, other than that looks good!

As promised, here's an onboard video of some probably Norwegian guy with a pixelated face driving an M5 much too quickly (A) But it's mostly about the audio so if you like a V8 soundtrack, you might enjoy this. 720p. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXxCKNlnKRs I've finally worked out what the M5 is for. It's for getting from point A to point B very quickly without even knowing how fast you're going (and you won't know because the steering wheel covers the speedo). That car feels about 40kph slower than it actually is, which to be honest is not a good thing. Far prefer it the other way round.
