  1. Didn't have them for long but they were very stiff which to me is most important. I doubt you'll have any problems with them, they're good.
  2. because there are lines on the edges of moving objects
  3. Oh my. Words cannot describe how good this guy is.
  4. I'd recommend ZOO forks or Ashtons. Had a go on a Control and it was really flexy.
  5. In my understanding it's mostly people who make useless posts all the time that quick_spider is talking about. It'd be a really boring place if every post contributed to the topic. We'd probably have to use some kind of contributometer which would check our posts for pointless information. And yeah, warn can be taken away. I got some for posting porn, then it was taken away for posting links in reference posts
  6. two new 20" "bikes" without frames and one stock frame i don't use no spare stems

It would make life much more difficult. For example somebody finds the Zoo headset shape beautiful and thrilling but the Czar absolutely unacceptable and repulsive - how does he order the one he wants? After all nobody wants a bike spoiled by a repulsive headset. Besides, I'm sure the coolness factor is dramatically increased by every single part on the bike having "Adamant" or "ZOO" written on them. Frames are ok, nothing special. Good thing he's made a disc mount, Inur approves.
  8. + brakes, shipping will sum up to 600 easily and he wants it from tartybikes. I'd go for Onza. Most of the parts are really good although a Monty will probably last much longer (apart from the freewheel).
  9. That's almost cheap. Would get one straight away if not for the way mods ride
  10. It's really hard to laquer a polished surface, everything just chips off. So I guess the laquer would need to be baked or something?
  11. Hair strengthening shampoo (i'm serious)
  12. As a few people on here edit HDV footage, I'd like to have their advice on what kind of computer I'll need to edit it fairly easily. I'm looking for the cheapest possible setup, preferably not a quad-core processor but something a bit more affordable. Are there any special cards which process HDV footage or does it all have to be done by the computer itself? Also, how important is the RAM speed - do I need really quick memory and if so, what does quick mean? I'm a complete noob in these matters so if somebody could explain it to me I'd be very grateful. And one last thing. I've heard that Premiere 2.0 captures HDV footage in DV for editing purposes and when exporting a video it re-captures it in HD. Is that true? If so the requirements for editing can't be that big? We captured some 1080 video yesterday with a mate and the data rate was 150MB/s. Is this normal? I'm used to editing uncompressed video but with DV the data rate is no more than 3,5MB/s. How is it done with HDV? Cheers
  13. I guess it's something to do with your firewire card or the DV cable. For further troubleshooting, try connecting the camera to a DVD player or TV through the digital output. If everything works, the problem lies in your PC hardware. If it still doesn't work I guess there must be a bad connection inside the camera.
  14. Not really keen on the shape of these frames. Clearly they have been designed to be as strong and practical as possible but a straight top tube would look a lot better. I'm sure it rides very well though!
  15. Used to ride around in lifts pretending to be doing something very important. Had a really eager boss who wanted us to work flat out all the time. It was fun, got to press some buttons, open and close doors (they were industrial lifts, all manual). We also had a big open freezer-like machine which kept ice cubes cold so after the restaurant had closed down, we'd stick our hands in there and see who would last longer. Then there was trolley racing, closing people in fridges, putting shoes through industrial dishwashers and walking back home in them. Was fun, without that tiny bit of entertainment I'd have quit. Depends where you're working, but if it's catering then here are some ideas.
  16. Try pumping the lever very quickly for a minute. It worked on my brake when the pistons had too much lubrication.
  17. That kiddie corner on OTN is a brilliant idea
  18. Riding was so good I went to the trouble of installing Winamp which allowed me to listen to some proper music while watching the vid. So I guess this vid also holds the record for the worst soundtrack ever. Even Dimmu Borgir fits a curb video better. One of the guys has a Noize frame So it's actually possible to ride that piece of... good engineering.
  19. Lovely. You look like a small Tra. Great riding as always, nice to see some manuals and spins linked with trials moves. Is that black disc frame an Echo? Looks really similar to the first mod frames they made.
  20. Too little information. When the camera is connected and playing, do you see an image in the capture window in Premiere?
  21. Get a 9T rear and 12T on the cranks? That would be a chain killer.
  22. yeah, 3rd level is impossible somebody care to make an instructional video of how to complete that level?
  23. Of course they're boring, what did you expect from a curb? We don't ride flatland.
