Just wondering if the Servo Wave system has turned Shimano brakes from the Deore groups into something that can be used for trials as succesfully as a properly set up Avid BB or Hope Trials? In the tech info I found that this system increases braking power by 20% but that sounds like a bit much - it's roughly the difference between using a 160mm rotor and a 203mm rotor. I'm looking at experimenting with a few disc brakes in the winter to see what's what, wondering if these are worth a shot. I mean specifically Deore group brakes, not Saint.

So what you're saying is that it's not as corrupt yet, but in a few months it will be? You've got a pretty pesimistic attitude man, a bit early for someone who's probably going to be on this earth for the next half a century. I've always had an attitude of just getting on with my life rather than panicing about global social/political/economic problems. These we can't change so we should prepare to face them rather than stand aside and complain. I'm fairly worried about what's going to happen with the Euro zone and Europe next year and am pretty anxious to get going if that makes sense. I'm pretty sure both the currency and zone will survive, it's backed up by some of the largest economies in the world and is strongly based on export thanks to Germany and France. However, the way things are currently going and with that idiot prime minister, I can see Greece going bankrupt deeming all bonds issued by Greece absolutely worthless. This will be a huge blow to banks all over Europe but I do have faith in some leaders and believe they will not allow bankrupcy of financial institutions to spread throughout the Euro zone. Essentially, I belive we're about to see a slight role reversal in Europe with the emerging economies taking over and China possibly starting to play a more important role on our continent. We've seen it 60 years ago with the Marshall Plan where the US rebuilt Europe because they considered it a good long term investment. Perhaps China won't go so far as to fix us up, but they are going to help and want something equally or more beneficial in return. I could talk for ages about this but those are the key points I think will happen.

Met Veleno, very much like the E2.

Got a few, most of them are related to girls I could have been with but didn't want to; obviously this changed when they got with someone else. Also heavily regret a choice about going in a certain direction with a car I owned back in 2009, that cost me 1,5 years of virtually no contact with motorsports and a lot of wasted money. I also regret not finishing my masters degree a few months ago becuase it'd be over and done with - I couldn't really be arsed to do it now.

Annoyingly while this vid is new, the footage is a year old. Shame really considering how much he's improved since then.

Is it just me or do the High Rollers (especially dual ply in 42a) feel like they have absolutely no bounce at all? However, the dual ply HR rolls considerably less than the Schwalbe Big Betty which should be a big point in its favour bearing in mind that you want to use it for natural riding. It's also a lot more grippy. If weight was no obstacle, I'd personally go for the HR.

It sounds like you're choosing a bike based on how it looks/how expensive it is rather than how it rides. Your list consists of two extremes in terms of geometry and 2 frames which are roughly inbetween. Perhaps decide what geometry you want first, then create a short list of frames you would like and ask us about the technicalities, pros and cons of each one.

Well it's pretty simple, if you're a basher go for the reinforced rim. If not, get the Hole.

If he gives the impression that he hasn't really got the money to build up a light bike, I guess he won't be able to afford a single brake for 300 quid.

I'm pretty sure that the BMX hub uses an imperial thread or whatever it's called. 3/8" perhaps, I recall it being roughly 9.5mm in diameter.

Missed those "few" while browsing it a while back. That's quite embarrassing.
-
Are they?
-
That's exactly what it looks like. Couldn't have put it better myself.

Using a TryAll Carbon fork on one of these frames is as odd as buying the lightest frame on the market and filling it with concrete. Not a fan of white frames but the full build looks fantastic. Partly due to how simple the bike looks.

That gap at 2:25 and a few earlier ones are unreal. Makes me wonder where the limits are.

Finally A Stock That Is Near The 2Kg Mark For Us Heavy Riders.
Greetings replied to Andeee's topic in Trials Chat
Heavy riders isn't PC is it? Shouldn't it be horizontally challenged or something like that? -
Haven't seen one on here yet so here's a few pics. Personally I'd have preferred white rims but it wasn't my choice. It was built for a very tall rider hence the bar and stem combo and personally as a stock rider I find this bike incredibly comfortable. Wheelbase with these forks is 1020, CS 350, haven't measured bb rise. Reach is 615 which is quite a lot. Bike weighs in at 9,45kg which is pretty heavy for a mod but it was meant to be fairly cheap and strong.

I've been running 158mm cranks on a stock for 5 years and this year went over to 160mm because the old cranks got a bit worn. Can't stand longer cranks, they feel like walking through a marsh.

Have you considered a GoPro? Not too good in poor lighting but it's a brilliant little camera to carry around with you. Not too expensive either plus you can get some shots from your bike/helmet.
-
Exactly my thoughts. The V2 had completely different dropouts.

Kevin's riding is starting to annoy me. I don't get this with any other rider, i'm just so f**king jealous of how smooth and good he is.
-
Is it pleasant?
-
That was quite entertaining.

Why do some people set their saddle up at such an angle that it becomes an anal probe?
